Campgrounds and RV parks near Devon, PA

Devon sits on Philadelphia's Main Line in Chester County, about twenty miles west of Center City along US Route 30. The immediate area is dense suburb with few in-town RV options, so most trips run to campgrounds a short drive west, north, or across the Delaware River into southern New Jersey. That puts travelers within easy reach of Valley Forge National Historical Park, the Brandywine Valley, and historic Philadelphia itself. The closest RV-friendly properties to Devon include Village Scene Park and Oak Grove Park and Sales in nearby communities, with Brandywine Creek Campground roughly a half-hour west near Downingtown and Boulder Woods Campground about an hour north in Green Lane. For families basing a trip around Philadelphia sightseeing, Philadelphia South / Clarksboro KOA Holiday sits across the river in New Jersey with full-hookup sites and cabin lodging. Most properties in the region are private, seasonal parks. Public state park campgrounds in Pennsylvania are farther out, so travelers staying near Devon generally book private RV parks with electric, water, and often sewer hookups.

Private campgrounds in this region use a mix of online booking systems and phone reservations. Philadelphia South / Clarksboro KOA Holiday takes reservations through the KOA website and app, with cancellation deadlines that tighten around holidays and special events. Brandywine Creek Campground and Boulder Woods Campground accept online and phone reservations, and both require payment or a deposit at the time of booking. For Pennsylvania state parks near Devon, reservations run through the state's official reservation system. Most campsites in Pennsylvania state parks can be reserved 11 months in advance to noon of the day of arrival. New Jersey state parks open campsite reservations 11 months in advance as well. Weekend sites in summer and fall should be booked as early as the window opens, and holiday weekends often carry minimum-stay requirements.
