Campgrounds and RV parks near Feasterville, PA

The Delaware River is the main draw. Delaware River tubing operators and Lake Nockamixon State Park sit within a short drive, giving RV travelers access to paddling, fishing, and swimming. The Pennsylvania side of Washington Crossing Historic Park has historic buildings, walking paths, picnic pavilions, fishing, and non-motorized boat launching. Thirteen miles of trails run through Washington Crossing State Park, NJ on the New Jersey side, and the trails are also used for cross-country skiing in winter. Families staying at Beaver Valley Campgrounds or Little Red Barn Camp Grounds also get quick access to Sesame Place, Peddler's Village, and the Crayola Experience, all popular stops for parents traveling with kids. Historic New Hope, Lambertville, and central Philadelphia are all within a straightforward drive for day trips.

The prime RV season in the Feasterville area runs from mid-spring through mid-fall. Beaver Valley Campgrounds operates roughly April through October, and Little Red Barn Camp Grounds runs a similar April through early November season. Most other private parks in the region follow comparable schedules, and summer weekends fill quickly, particularly around Sesame Place and river-tubing outings, so booking several weeks ahead is standard practice. Spring brings variable weather and higher river flows, with wildflowers appearing along park trails by May. Summer is warm and humid with afternoon thunderstorms, and tropical systems can occasionally threaten the region during late summer and fall, mainly through heavy rainfall. Fall delivers the most reliable RV weather, with cooler nights, lower humidity, and strong foliage color through mid to late October. Winter is quiet. Public and private campgrounds largely close, roads can ice over, and from December through March Philadelphia can remain below freezing for full days at a time. A handful of year-round parks continue to accept self-contained rigs, but hookups may be limited.

Bucks County campgrounds tend toward wooded, family-run properties with pools and organized weekend activities rather than large resort-style operations. Beaver Valley Campgrounds offers wooded and open sites with 30-amp electric and water hookups, a dump station, restrooms, laundry, cable TV hookups, and WiFi, and lists a maximum RV length around 35 feet. Little Red Barn Camp Grounds has over 100 water and electric sites with 20, 30, and 50-amp service, pull-through and back-in options, plus picnic tables and fire pits. Access roads can be a factor. Roads leading to Beaver Valley Campgrounds are curving and narrow, and reviewers note that even a 28-foot trailer can find them challenging. Longer rigs should confirm routing with the campground before arrival. One note for travelers crossing the Delaware: the historic Washington Crossing Bridge has a weight limit and is not passable by buses, large trucks, or campers, so RV travel between Pennsylvania and New Jersey must use the Route 202 or I-295 bridges.
