Campgrounds and RV parks near Jenkintown, PA

Jenkintown sits in eastern Montgomery County, roughly ten miles north of Center City Philadelphia. The immediate borough is dense suburban, so RV travelers typically stage a trip from campgrounds ringing the metro area rather than from within town itself. Closest options fall in two directions: north and west toward Hatfield and Montgomery County, and south across the Delaware River into Gloucester County, New Jersey. For travelers who want to base near Jenkintown proper, Village Scene Park and Oak Grove Park and Sales in Hatfield sit closest, roughly a 25-minute drive northwest. To the south, Philadelphia South / Clarksboro KOA Holiday is the only KOA in New Jersey and serves as the main full-service RV park for the Philadelphia region. Farther out, Lake Kandle in Sewell is a family-oriented private campground and swim club about 30 minutes from Philadelphia and one hour from Atlantic City, and Washington Crossing State Park, NJ preserves a Revolutionary War landscape along the Delaware roughly an hour north.

Booking systems differ by property. Philadelphia South / Clarksboro KOA Holiday takes reservations directly through koa.com or by phone, with KOA Rewards discounts applied at checkout. Oak Grove Park and Sales and Village Scene Park are family-run and generally handled by phone; call ahead to confirm availability, rig length, and hookup type. Lake Kandle operates as a private, largely seasonal campground and swim club; contact the office directly to inquire about openings. For New Jersey state parks, use camping.nj.gov for reservations when campgrounds reopen. For Pennsylvania state parks in the wider Philadelphia region, travelers looking for family overnight camping within one hour of Greater Philadelphia are directed to French Creek State Park. Reservations there must be made at least 3 days ahead of arrival and can be made up to 11 months in advance.
