Campgrounds and RV parks near Marcus Hook, PA

Marcus Hook sits on the Delaware River in southeastern Delaware County, just downstream from Philadelphia and near the Delaware state line. The borough itself is heavily industrial, so most RV travelers use it as a jumping-off point rather than a destination, with campgrounds clustered a short drive away in South Jersey and the surrounding Pennsylvania and New Jersey countryside. The closest full-service option is Philadelphia South / Clarksboro KOA Holiday, a country-style campground across the river in New Jersey and within easy reach of downtown Philadelphia. Other family-oriented parks in the wider area include Four Seasons Campgrounds, Camp Country Center, Adventure Bound Tall Pines, and Old Cedar Campground. The region works well for RV travelers who want to combine city sightseeing in Philadelphia and Wilmington with wooded overnight sites. Parks in this corridor sit within reach of the Jersey Shore beaches and are easy to access from major highways serving Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland, making Marcus Hook a useful hub for regional trips.

Private campgrounds in this area take reservations directly through their own websites or through platforms like Campspot, KOA.com, and Good Sam. Booking three to six months ahead is standard for summer weekends and holidays, and popular family resorts with waterparks fill even earlier. Pennsylvania state parks use the state reservation system at pennsylvaniastateparks.reserveamerica.com or by phone at 888-PA-PARKS. Sites can be reserved up to 11 months in advance, right up to noon on the day of arrival, with new inventory released at noon Eastern Time. New Jersey state parks use the NJ Outdoors portal on a similar 11-month window. Check rig-length limits and hookup types before booking. Not every site accommodates larger Class A motorhomes or trailers with slide-outs, and a few older parks in the region are 30-amp only.
