Campgrounds and RV parks near McKinley, PA

McKinley is a small census-designated place in Abington Township, Montgomery County, roughly 12 miles north of Center City Philadelphia. The community sits in a dense residential belt with no campgrounds within its own boundaries, so RV travelers use it as a launch point for sites in the surrounding Philadelphia metro, South Jersey, and the lower Delaware Valley. The closest options tend to be small local grounds like Village Scene Park and Oak Grove Park and Sales in the immediate suburbs. For full-hookup RV camping with resort amenities, most travelers cross the Delaware River to Philadelphia South / Clarksboro KOA Holiday in New Jersey, which markets itself as the closest full-service campground to downtown Philadelphia. Further afield, Lake Kandle in Sewell, NJ, offers a lake-focused family stay, and Washington Crossing State Park, NJ, sits along the Delaware River north of Trenton for history-oriented visitors, though its campgrounds are currently closed. Together these options cover short suburban stopovers, family resort stays, and river-based trips.

Philadelphia South / Clarksboro KOA Holiday is booked directly through the KOA website or by phone. It offers pull-through and back-in full-hookup RV sites, KOA Patio sites, tent sites, and cabins, and accepts big rigs up to about 70 feet. KOA Rewards members receive a discount at checkout. New Jersey state park camping, including Washington Crossing State Park, is reserved through the state's official portal at camping.nj.gov. Note that Washington Crossing's group campsites have been closed until further notice, so confirm status before planning around it. Pennsylvania state park sites are booked through the Pennsylvania State Parks and Forests reservation system, with a booking window that opens up to 11 months in advance. Smaller private grounds like Village Scene Park, Oak Grove Park and Sales, and Lake Kandle are best booked by calling the property directly.
