Millville is a small borough in Columbia County, in the Fishing Creek valley of northeastern Pennsylvania. It sits roughly ten miles north of Bloomsburg and within driving distance of Ricketts Glen State Park, one of the state's best-known natural areas. The surrounding countryside is rural: rolling farmland, hardwood ridges, trout streams, and one of the densest concentrations of historic covered bridges in Pennsylvania. RV travelers use Millville as a base for both the state park and the wider Columbia County recreation area. Private campgrounds close to town include Deihls Camping Resort, Indian Head Campground, Mill Race Golf and Camping Resort, Whispering Pines Camping Estates, and J and D Campgrounds. Most are family-oriented seasonal parks with full-hookup RV sites, pools, and weekend activities. For state-park camping, Ricketts Glen sits about forty minutes northeast of Millville. The area works well for families who want a mix of private-campground amenities during the week and day trips to waterfalls, lakes, and covered bridges on the weekend.

For state-park camping at Ricketts Glen, reservations are handled through the Pennsylvania State Parks and Forests reservation system on ReserveAmerica or by calling 888-PA-PARKS. Sites, cabins, and cottages can be booked up to 11 months in advance, with new inventory released at noon Eastern Time, and must be reserved at least three days before arrival. Summer weekends and lakeside sites go quickly, so booking early in the window is recommended. Private campgrounds around Millville, including Deihls Camping Resort, Indian Head Campground, Mill Race Golf and Camping Resort, Whispering Pines Camping Estates, and J and D Campgrounds, typically take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone.
