Campgrounds and RV parks near Mont Clare, PA

Mont Clare sits on the north bank of the Schuylkill River in Montgomery County, directly across from Phoenixville and roughly 28 miles northwest of Philadelphia. The village is a practical base for RV travelers exploring the Schuylkill River Trail, Valley Forge, and the Brandywine Valley, with most campgrounds located a short drive west or north in Chester and Montgomery counties. Camping in the immediate area is a mix of private RV parks and county day-use parks. Overnight camping is not offered directly along the Schuylkill in Mont Clare itself, so RV travelers rely on private campgrounds and nearby Pennsylvania state parks. Overnight options within a reasonable drive include Village Scene Park, Oak Grove Park and Sales, Brandywine Creek Campground, Boulder Woods Campground, and Lazy-K Campground Inc. Typical stays in this region combine a campground base with day trips to riverside trailheads, historic sites, and state parks. Reservations are the norm at the private parks listed above, and sites fill quickly on summer holiday weekends.

Private campgrounds around Mont Clare take reservations directly. Brandywine Creek Campground uses an online booking system, and Boulder Woods accepts reservations by phone or through a request form, and filling out the form does not automatically confirm the reservation. Village Scene Park, Oak Grove Park and Sales, and Lazy-K Campground Inc should be contacted directly for availability and site type. Holiday weekends require the most planning. Boulder Woods asks that all holiday reservations be paid thirty days prior to arrival. For summer Fridays and Saturdays, plan to reserve four to eight weeks out. Nearby Pennsylvania state parks such as French Creek and Evansburg use the state reservation system and can be reserved up to 11 months in advance to noon of the day of arrival. Confirm hookup type, rig length limits, and check-in hours before arrival.
