Campgrounds and RV parks near Morton, PA

Morton sits in Delaware County, roughly ten miles southwest of Center City Philadelphia. RV travelers using the borough as a base typically look across the Delaware River into South Jersey, where most of the region's private RV parks are clustered. The closest options include Philadelphia South / Clarksboro KOA Holiday, along with Four Seasons Campgrounds, Lake Kandle, Old Cedar Campground, and Village Scene Park. The surrounding area is dense and suburban rather than wilderness. Expect commercial RV parks with pools, camp stores, and full-hookup sites rather than remote forest camping. Full hookups, 30 and 50 amp service, and paved interior roads that accommodate larger rigs are common at parks in the immediate area, which suits travelers driving Class A motorhomes or larger fifth wheels. For a more traditional state-park experience, travelers generally drive north into the Pennsylvania interior or south toward the Jersey Shore. Old Cedar Campground sits in Monroeville, New Jersey, about a 30-minute drive from Philadelphia and roughly an hour from the Atlantic City coastline, giving families flexibility to combine city sightseeing with beach days on a single trip.

Private RV parks in the Philadelphia and South Jersey area handle their own reservations by phone or through their websites, and holiday weekends fill months out. Several parks enforce minimum stays: Old Cedar Campground requires a minimum of two nights for weekend reservations and three nights for holidays. Lake Kandle currently runs mostly seasonal sites and may not offer nightly bookings in a given year, so calling ahead is essential. Confirm pet, tent, and rig-length policies at booking, since Lake Kandle does not permit tents or pets and other area parks vary. For Pennsylvania state park camping farther from Morton, reservations are handled through the state's official reservations portal. Most campsites can be reserved up to 11 months in advance to noon of the day of arrival, with a limited number of first-come, first-served sites.
