Campgrounds and RV parks near Parkside, PA

Parkside is a small borough in southern Delaware County, Pennsylvania, bordered by Chester, Upland, and Brookhaven, sitting roughly two miles from Interstate 95 via Pennsylvania Route 352 (Edgmont Avenue). The borough itself is a compact residential community with no campgrounds inside its footprint, so RV travelers use it as a base to reach the ring of private parks in South Jersey, most within a 30 to 45 minute drive across the Delaware River. The closest full-service RV park is Philadelphia South / Clarksboro KOA Holiday in Clarksboro, New Jersey, the only KOA in the state, sitting just over the Delaware River from Philadelphia. It offers pull-thru or back-in RV sites with electric and water hookups, plus upgraded KOA Patio sites and Deluxe Cabins. Family-oriented options farther east include Four Seasons Campgrounds in Pilesgrove and Lake Kandle in Sewell, both centered on swimming and lake activities. Additional choices within an hour include Camp Country Center and Old Cedar Campground in Monroeville, the latter combining a family-owned campground with a working farm and domestic animals. Together these parks give travelers a mix of resort-style and rustic choices while keeping Philadelphia, Camden, and the Jersey Shore within day-trip range.

Book early for summer weekends and any date near the Fourth of July, Labor Day, or a Philadelphia sports or concert weekend. Sites at Clarksboro KOA can be reserved through the KOA website or app, or by phone, and KOA Rewards members save ten percent at checkout. Most other parks in the area are family-owned and take reservations directly by phone or through their own websites rather than through a central reservation portal. At Old Cedar Campground, weekend reservations require a two-night minimum, holidays a three-night minimum, and a refundable security deposit holds the site. Lake Kandle and Four Seasons lean heavily toward seasonal campers, so short-stay availability is tighter. Lake Kandle noted strong seasonal demand and limited nightly bookings, with sites possibly opening on a weekly or monthly basis after Memorial Day weekend, so call ahead to confirm site length, hookups, and any age or pet restrictions before booking.
