Campgrounds and RV parks near Penn Wynne, PA

Penn Wynne is a small community on Philadelphia's Main Line in Lower Merion Township, just west of the city. RV campgrounds are not located within Penn Wynne itself; the closest options sit across the Delaware River in the wooded suburbs of southern New Jersey, generally within a 20 to 45 minute drive. Renters use this area as a base for exploring Philadelphia's historic core, Camden's waterfront, and the farm country of Gloucester and Salem counties. Philadelphia South / Clarksboro KOA Holiday is the only KOA in New Jersey and provides a country-style campground with easy access across the river to downtown Philadelphia. Village Scene Park and Oak Grove Park and Sales offer smaller, quieter alternatives further out from the metro area. For renters wanting a resort-style stay with swimming, Lake Kandle in Sewell offers supervised swimming in a 10 acre spring-fed lake along with an Olympic-size pool. Old Cedar Campground sits in Monroeville, roughly 35 minutes from Philadelphia, with wooded sites on a working family farm.

Most campgrounds in this area take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone. The Philadelphia South / Clarksboro KOA books through the KOA reservation system online or by calling the campground; KOA Rewards members receive a ten percent discount at checkout, and lodging cancellations require fourteen days' notice. Old Cedar Campground takes reservations by phone or through its site and requires a refundable security deposit, with a minimum of two nights on weekends and three nights on holiday weekends. Lake Kandle is mostly seasonal, and nightly availability can be very limited in peak years; contact the campground directly for openings. For holiday weekends, book two to three months ahead across all parks in the region.
