Campgrounds and RV parks near Pocono Woodland Lakes, PA

Pocono Woodland Lakes is a private residential community in Pennsylvania's northern Poconos, positioned near the Delaware River corridor and the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. RV travelers use it as a launching point for river camping, hiking, and waterfall trips, with several established campgrounds within a short drive along Route 209 and the New York state line. The area sits inside the footprint of Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, a 65-acre campground zone within a nearly 70,000-acre recreation area managed by the National Park Service, with 40 miles of the Delaware River accessible and the 32-mile McDade Trail running along the corridor. The recreation area stretches along the Pennsylvania-New Jersey border, flanked by the small towns of Delaware Water Gap to the south and Milford to the north, and has long drawn visitors from New York and Philadelphia. Nearby options range from a park-service concession campground on the river to private outfitter-run sites geared to paddlers and tubers. Expect a mix of tent, riverside, and RV sites with varying levels of hookups depending on the operator.

Reservation practices vary by operator. For Dingmans Campground, reservations can be made through the campground's website at dingmanscampground.com or by calling (570) 828-1551. Advance reservations are strongly advised, as the campground fills quickly during the summer tourist season, and same-day walk-in sites are available only if any remain. The Kittatinny properties, including Kittatinny's K-Camp Campground and Kittatinny Campgrounds at River Beach, take online bookings through their website. Reservations are preferred; walk-ins are accepted based on availability, and not every site or accommodation may be available. Kittatinny recommends booking at least six months in advance of the desired arrival date, and reservations are accepted up to 360 days out. Book RV sites with hookups and riverside sites earliest, as those sell out first for summer weekends.
