Campgrounds and RV parks near Richboro, PA

Richboro is a small community in Northampton Township, Bucks County, roughly a half hour north of Philadelphia and a short drive from the Delaware River corridor. RV renters use it as a base for exploring the historic river towns of New Hope and Lambertville, the covered bridges and farms of central Bucks County, and the Revolutionary War sites that line both banks of the Delaware. Most overnight options sit outside the borough itself. Private RV parks such as Colonial Woods Family Resort at 545 Lonely Cottage Drive in Upper Black Eddy, along with Beaver Valley Campgrounds and Oak Grove Park and Sales, cover the RV, tent, and cabin market north and west of town. Village Scene Park serves as a closer-in option for renters who want to stay near shops and restaurants. Public land is dominated by Washington Crossing Historic Park on the Pennsylvania side, which preserves the site of General Washington's 1776 boat crossing and offers historic buildings, walking paths, picnic pavilions, fishing, and non-motorized boat launching, alongside the linear Delaware Canal State Park that runs beside it.

Private parks in this area use direct online booking or third-party platforms. Colonial Woods Family Resort takes reservations through Campspot, and other nearby private campgrounds accept phone and online bookings through their own websites. For summer weekends and any holiday, book eight to twelve weeks out. Pennsylvania state parks in the region, including Washington Crossing Historic Park, are booked through the state's ReserveAmerica portal. Reservations must be made at least 3 days ahead of arrival and can be made up to 11 months in advance, with the booking window opening at noon Eastern Time. New Jersey state parks across the river are booked through camping.nj.gov when open. For state park family camping within about an hour of the Greater Philadelphia region, French Creek State Park is the standard recommendation when closer public sites are unavailable.
