Campgrounds and RV parks near Wayne, PA

Wayne sits on Philadelphia's Main Line in Delaware and Chester counties, roughly 15 miles west of Center City. There are no campgrounds inside the borough itself, so RV renters typically base out of parks in the surrounding counties and cross the Schuylkill or Delaware River for city day trips. Reachable options include Village Scene Park north of Wayne, plus Oak Grove Park and Sales and Homestead Family Campgrounds farther out in the Pennsylvania countryside. Across the Delaware in Gloucester County, New Jersey, the Philadelphia South / Clarksboro KOA Holiday is the closest full-service KOA. The park markets itself as a peaceful country campground about 20 minutes from downtown Philly, and it is big-rig friendly for travelers passing through the corridor. For a quieter, wooded stay north of the city, Boulder Woods Campground in Green Lane sits about an hour from Wayne. The property is named for its abundance of trees and large rocks and boulders left behind from the glacial era, and it accommodates RV motor homes, travel trailers, pop-up campers, conversion vans, and tents. It has 208 sites, accepts big rigs, offers seven pull-throughs, and provides 188 electric-water hookups with 30 and 50 amp service.

Booking systems differ by campground. KOA properties, including Philadelphia South / Clarksboro KOA Holiday, are reserved online through koa.com or by phone. The cancellation policy requires 7 days notice for RV and tent sites and 14 days notice for lodging and accommodations, with cancellations handled by phone rather than text or email. Privately owned parks in the area typically take reservations through their own websites or by phone. Boulder Woods, for example, accepts reservation inquiries by phone or online form, and filling out the form does not automatically confirm a reservation. Holiday weekends, Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day book out first and often carry minimum-stay requirements. For summer and fall foliage weekends, plan to reserve six to eight weeks out. Shoulder-season midweek stays are usually available with much shorter notice.
