Campgrounds and RV parks near Yardley, PA

Yardley sits on the Delaware River in Lower Bucks County, roughly 30 miles northeast of Philadelphia and directly across from Mercer County, New Jersey. The location puts RV travelers within a short drive of two state-park systems (Pennsylvania and New Jersey) plus a cluster of private family campgrounds in the wooded hills north of town. Most overnight options for RV renters are private resorts rather than public campgrounds. Colonial Woods Family Resort in Upper Black Eddy and Beaver Valley Campgrounds in Ottsville are the closest full-service options in Bucks County, both roughly a half-hour north along the river. Timberland Lake Campground and Crystal Springs Wilderness Lodges and RV Resort sit on the New Jersey side within about an hour's drive. Washington Crossing State Park, NJ, directly across the river from Yardley, offers only primitive group tent sites, and those campgrounds are currently closed until further notice per the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. RV travelers should treat that park as a day-use destination and plan overnight stays at one of the private resorts nearby.

Private resorts handle their own reservations directly through their websites, often via Campspot. Colonial Woods Family Resort operates roughly 240 sites with water, 30-amp electric, and cable TV hookups, including pull-through options for RVs. Beaver Valley Campgrounds offers wooded and open level sites with 30-amp electric and water hookups, plus a dump station on site, and lists a maximum length around 35 feet. New Jersey state park camping is reserved online through camping.nj.gov, though the group sites at Washington Crossing State Park, NJ are currently closed until further notice and, when open, are primitive with no water or electric hookups. For peak summer weekends, holidays, and any stay coinciding with a Sesame Place trip, book as soon as dates open. Midweek arrivals give the best chance of walk-up availability at the private resorts.
