Campgrounds and RV parks near D'Hanis, TX

D'Hanis is a small community in Medina County, along U.S. Highway 90 between Hondo and Sabinal in South Texas. The area sits at the transition between the South Texas brush country and the eastern edge of the Hill Country, which makes it a practical base for RV travelers heading toward Uvalde, the Frio River corridor, or San Antonio. Campground options are concentrated along the Highway 90 corridor. Hondo has a semi-arid climate with hot summers and mild winters, so most parks in the area operate year-round. Westbound RV Park and Red Oak RV Park serve travelers passing through on Highway 90, while Lone Star Corral Escapees RV Park caters primarily to Escapees club members and long-stay guests. Quiet Texas RV Park and Quiet Texas RV Park II round out the local inventory with full-hookup sites suited to Class A, Class C, and travel-trailer rentals. Sites tend to be level and pull-through friendly, which simplifies arrival for first-time renters and larger rigs coming off Highway 90.

Private RV parks in the D'Hanis area, including Westbound RV Park, Red Oak RV Park, Quiet Texas RV Park, and Quiet Texas RV Park II, typically take reservations directly by phone or through their own websites. Lone Star Corral Escapees RV Park gives booking priority to Escapees RV Club members, so non-members should confirm availability before arrival. Nearby Texas state parks, including Garner, Lost Maples, and Hill Country State Natural Area, use the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department reservation system, which accepts bookings up to five months ahead. State park sites for spring weekends, holiday weekends, and fall foliage at Lost Maples can fill quickly, so book early and confirm the site length matches the RV rental.
