Our host Frank was extremely reliable. He arranged the pickup time and location with us in advance, and during the handoff he gave us a very detailed walkthrough of all the trailer’s features and functions. He was also very responsive and answered all of our questions promptly throughout the trip. When we returned the trailer, Frank was very patient and professional. Since we didn’t use any gas and had already cleaned the black and grey water tanks, he immediately refunded the prepaid fees to us. Frank treated every one of our questions seriously and made sure we had a smooth and enjoyable experience. We were very satisfied with this trip and would highly recommend him as a host.

What kind of driver's license do I need to rent an RV in Peachland?

A regular Class 5 driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Peachland for almost every motorhome and travel trailer on RVezy. Under ICBC rules, your standard passenger license covers any motorhome, plus a fully loaded recreational trailer up to 4,600 kg gross vehicle weight (GVW) towed behind a two-axle vehicle. You'll need to be 25 or older to book on RVezy, and we verify ID right in the app. Visiting from outside Canada? Your home country's license works for short stays, and an International Driving Permit (IDP) is a smart backup. Then you're free to point the wheels toward Okanagan Lake.

If plans change, open your trip in the RVezy app to start the cancellation, and our support team is available 24/7 if you need a hand. When is the best time to rent an RV in Peachland?

Peachland has one of the longest RV seasons in Canada thanks to its semi-arid Okanagan climate. July and August are the marquee months, with daily highs around 24 to 28°C, low humidity, and barely any rain (August averages just 30 mm). For RV camping Peachland without the crowds, late May to mid-June and September are gold: warm days in the low 20s, cool nights, and easy campground bookings. Even shoulder months like April and October are doable, with highs around 10 to 15°C. Winter rentals are available too at Peachland RV Park for ski trips to Big White, just expect overnight lows near -10°C in January.

If you are nervous about the drive, book a delivered rental so the host parks and levels it for you at your campground. Can I take the RV across the border into the US from Peachland?

Cross-border travel may be allowed depending on the host and the protection package, so message the owner directly before booking if a US leg is part of your plan. The closest crossing is Osoyoos/Oroville, about 1 hour 45 minutes south on Highway 97, opening up Washington State's Methow Valley and the North Cascades. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on any RVezy rental because coverage doesn't extend that far. Within Canada, you're free to roam, popular routes from Peachland include the Trans-Canada to Revelstoke and Banff, or south through the Similkameen Valley to Manning Park.

Fuel is usually the second-biggest line item after the rental itself, but it's manageable. For a 4-day RV road trip from Peachland to Revelstoke and back (about 400 km round trip), budget roughly $130 to $180 in fuel for a Class C. Pro tip: fill up at the Costco in West Kelowna before heading out, it's often 8 to 12 cents cheaper than highway stations.

How far ahead should I book a campground near Peachland?

For private parks like Peachland RV Park, aim for 2 to 4 months out for peak summer. Shoulder season (May, June, September) is far more relaxed, often bookable a week or two ahead. Pro tip: set a calendar alert for 7 a.m. PT exactly four months before your target date, and have your site numbers picked out in advance on the BC Parks map.

What add-ons and pickup options should I know about?

Pickup is usually at the host's home in Peachland, West Kelowna, or Summerland, with delivery available for a flat fee or per-kilometre rate. Mileage policies vary, look for unlimited kilometre listings if you're planning a big loop. One-way rentals are less common but possible if the host agrees, just message before booking. Pro tip: ask about a paddleboard add-on, it's the single best way to enjoy a calm morning on Okanagan Lake.

How does the security deposit and payment work?

Payment is simple and secure: RVezy charges your card at booking for the rental total, and a separate refundable security deposit (typically $500 to $1,500 CAD depending on the RV) is pre-authorized on your card a few days before pickup. As long as the RV comes back in the same condition with no extra charges owed, the hold is released after your trip ends. To avoid surprises, do a thorough walkaround video with the host at pickup and again at drop-off, top up the fuel and propane to where you started, and empty the tanks if the host requires it. That keeps your deposit safe and your trip stress-free.

Where can and can't I park an RV overnight in Peachland?

Quick heads-up that saves a fine: where to park an RV in Peachland legally means a campground, not the beach. The District of Peachland's Traffic Regulation Bylaw 1856 prohibits overnight parking of RVs, campers, commercial vehicles, and trailers on Beach Avenue and within all District parking lots (including the Second Street lot and the Peachland Community Centre lot on Sixth Street), with bylaw officers patrolling on rotating shifts through the end of September. The good news: you have great alternatives within minutes, including Peachland RV Park (year-round, full hookups), Okanagan Lake Provincial Park, and Bear Creek Provincial Park. Stay overnight at one of those, then drive or walk down to Beach Avenue to enjoy the sunset.

Can I rent an RV in Peachland in winter for skiing at Big White?

Yes, a winter RV rental in Peachland is a fun way to ski Big White Mountain Resort (about 90 minutes east) without paying resort hotel prices. Peachland RV Park stays open year-round with winter snowbird rates. Look for an RV listing with a heated underbelly, heated holding tanks, and a propane furnace, and ask the host about running on shore power versus generator. Expect January overnight lows around -8 to -10 C in Peachland. Pro tip: filter for a motorhome rental in Peachland rated for cold-weather use, and bring a heated water hose if you are hooking up to a tap.
