What kind of gas mileage should I expect on my Beaumont RV trip?

For summer weekends and major event dates, book popular campgrounds like Bogart Park or Banning Stagecoach KOA at least 1 to 2 months in advance. What local driving conditions should I know before my Beaumont RV trip?

Driving around Beaumont is generally easy, with most roads RV-accessible and quick freeway access via I-10 and SR-60 toward Palm Springs, Joshua Tree, and Los Angeles. Take it slow on mountain routes toward Big Bear, where winding roads and steep grades can be demanding for larger rigs. Summer holiday weekends bring heavier traffic, and the San Gorgonio Pass is known for strong crosswinds, so reduce speed when winds pick up. Check Caltrans QuickMap for current conditions before you head out.
