We had a fantastic experience renting this RV trailer from Rhonda for our family trip to Carpinteria State Beach. Rhonda was a great host and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process — from answering all our questions beforehand to making sure we had everything we needed for a smooth check-in. The RV was in great shape and perfectly equipped with everything we needed. It was just what we needed and ideal for our family of four (two adults and two kids). The layout was comfortable, the kitchen had all the essentials, and there was plenty of space for everyone to sleep and relax after a day at the beach. We loved our stay at Carpinteria State Beach — the location was convenient and the RV made it feel like home away from home. Highly recommend this rental!

Renting with Oscar (J&J Rent-A-Toy) was a delight! He was prompt, extremely couerteous and professional! The trailer was delivered at the time promised and setup with everything ready for us to walk through the door and have a great experience. My wife and I absolutely loved the trailer! It was clean, smelled great, extremely simple to use, (especially after a thorough walk through with Oscar) and he was available to answer any questions or concerns at all times! I would definitely rent this trailer again! Thanks again Oscar! We had a great weekend with friends and family and many complimented the trailer and said how they would love to have it!

Is it hard to drive an RV in the Oak Park area?

Driving an RV in Oak Park is straightforward by Southern California standards. Local streets are wide and suburban, and the nearby US-101 and CA-23 connect easily to the coast and inland routes. Avoid weekday rush hour on the 101 for the smoothest drive, and watch for low clearances on rural canyon roads like Kanan Dume and Mulholland. If LA traffic feels intimidating, choose a host who offers RV delivery and setup so you can skip the busiest roads entirely.

What hookups and dump stations can I expect at Oak Park-area campgrounds?

Most private campgrounds near Oak Park, including Malibu Beach RV Park and Ventura Ranch KOA, offer full hookups with electric, water, and sewer. State parks like Leo Carrillo and Sycamore Canyon typically provide non-hookup sites with shared dump stations on site. Always review the site map and amenity list on the campground's official page before booking, since hookup availability varies by loop. If you plan to camp off-grid, scout dump stations along your route ahead of time.
