The RV was fantastic and Josh was a great host! We were his first booking and you never would’ve known. He was super thorough in the walk-around going through the RV and the intricacies of the truck (it has air brakes!). Once on the road, it was super easy to drive, if you can say that about a 36’ Super C! The air ride seat made it really comfy and the adaptive cruise made it super easy to navigate from the driver side. And the kids and wife loved the onboard generator to watch TV, heat up some food, use the restroom, and even sleep while en route to our destination. When it’s time for another adventure, we’ll definitely be reaching out to Josh to rent again! Highly recommend Josh and his RV.

This was a wonderful experience. We camped in beach areas as well as wooded by a lake and this van was comfortable, reliable and REALLY easy to drive. We went to Atlanta, also, to the aquarium and navigating the city was easy as pie in this thing. The owners are INCREDIBLY nice and the communication is some of the best I’ve ever seen across things like this app, AirBnB, etc. Great people, great van, great experience.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Brookhaven, GA

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Brookhaven?

RV rental in Brookhaven is more affordable than most travelers expect, especially compared to hotel stays in nearby Buckhead or Midtown Atlanta. On RVezy you can typically find campervans starting around $95 to $150 per night, travel trailers from $100 to $180, and larger Class A or Class C motorhomes between $200 and $350 per night. For a cheap RV rental Brookhaven travelers love, book mid-week stays in March, April, or October when summer demand cools off. Do I need a special license to rent an RV in Brookhaven, GA?

Good news: your regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Brookhaven, GA. The Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) confirms that a standard Class C non-commercial license covers any vehicle used as temporary living quarters for recreational, camping, or travel purposes, regardless of weight. That means no Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and no special endorsement, even for big Class A motorhomes. To book on RVezy you just need to be 25 or older with a valid license, and ID verification happens right inside the platform. Visiting from outside the United States? Bring an International Driving Permit (IDP) alongside your home country license and you are ready to roll out of Brookhaven.

What happens if I need to cancel my Brookhaven RV rental?

Booking your RV rental in Brookhaven is lower risk than you might think because RVezy sets the cancellation policy across the platform, not individual hosts. There is a grace period after booking where you can cancel and get your money back, plus additional protections built in for situations like natural disasters or major weather events, which matter in a region that occasionally sees tropical storm remnants and ice events. Specific timelines depend on how far out your trip is and the conditions around the cancellation. Pro tip: review the current policy on the RVezy checkout screen before you confirm, and message the host with any timing questions so you feel completely ready to book.

When is the best time to rent an RV in Brookhaven, GA?

Spring (March through May) and fall (late September through early November) are hands-down the sweet spots for an RV rental in Brookhaven, GA. Daytime highs sit in a gorgeous 65 to 80 degree Fahrenheit range, humidity drops, and the dogwoods, azaleas, and fall foliage in nearby North Georgia are spectacular. Summer (June through August) is hot and muggy with highs around 88 to 91 degrees Fahrenheit and afternoon thunderstorms, but the AC in your RV plus a lakefront site at Lake Lanier makes it a blast for families. Winter is mild, with highs typically 50 to 55 degrees Fahrenheit, so RVing is a year-round option here. Pro tip: book by January for peak fall foliage weekends in the Blue Ridge.

Confirm cross-border specifics with your host through the listing if you're heading to Canada, since some hosts allow it and some do not. What about fuel costs and gas mileage for my Brookhaven RV trip?

Budgeting fuel for your Brookhaven RV trip is straightforward once you know the basics. Class B campervans typically get 18 to 22 miles per gallon (MPG), Class C motorhomes average 10 to 14 MPG, and big Class A rigs run closer to 7 to 10 MPG. Travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle. Georgia gas prices have generally been among the lowest in the Southeast, often a bit cheaper than the national average, with diesel running slightly higher. Fill up before leaving the Brookhaven area at Costco or Sam's Club in nearby Dunwoody or Buford for the best price. Pro tip: use the GasBuddy app and plan fuel stops at truck-friendly stations like Pilot or Love's along I-75 and I-85.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Brookhaven?

For the best campgrounds near Brookhaven, book as early as you can, especially for spring and fall weekends. Georgia State Parks allow reservations up to 13 months in advance (14 months for Georgia residents) through the official ReserveAmerica portal at gastateparks.org, and popular sites at Stone Mountain, Red Top Mountain, and Don Carter often fill 3 to 6 months out for prime weekends. A 50 percent deposit confirms bookings made 15+ days out, with the balance due at check-in. Private resorts like Margaritaville at Lanier Islands book even faster for summer. Pro tip: if your dates are full, use a tool like Campnab to get alerted on cancellations, or aim for Sunday to Thursday stays, which are far easier to grab.

What is driving an RV like in and around Brookhaven?

Driving an RV around Brookhaven is very manageable once you know the local quirks. Brookhaven sits just inside I-285 (the Perimeter) with easy access to GA-400 and Peachtree Road, but rush hour on I-285 and I-85 between 7 to 9 AM and 4 to 7 PM is no fun in a big rig, so plan your departures mid-morning. Watch for low clearances on older Atlanta parkways (some bridges are under 11 feet) and stick to interstates for tall motorhomes. Once you're 30 minutes north on GA-400 or east on Highway 78, the roads open up beautifully. Pro tip: if you're nervous about Atlanta traffic, book a host who offers delivery and start your trip directly from your campsite stress-free.
dot.ga.gov/DriveSmart

What amenities will I find at campgrounds near Brookhaven?

Campgrounds near Brookhaven offer a great range of amenities to make your trip easy. Full hookups (water, 30/50 amp electric, sewer) are common at private parks like Sweetwater Creek RV Reserve, Atlanta-Marietta RV Resort, and Margaritaville at Lanier Islands. Georgia State Parks such as Stone Mountain, Red Top Mountain, and Don Carter typically offer water and electric at sites plus centrally located dump stations and potable water fill-ups. Most campgrounds include hot showers, flush toilets, laundry, Wi-Fi (varies in strength), and dump stations. Many also have pools, playgrounds, and dog parks. Pro tip: if you need to dump tanks mid-trip, the Pilot Travel Center in Cartersville off I-75 has an RV dump station that's a quick stop on your way back to Brookhaven.
gastateparks.org/Camping

What's actually inside the RVs available to rent in Brookhaven?

RVs on RVezy in Brookhaven, GA come ready for a comfortable Georgia trip. Expect real beds (queen or king in many models), a full kitchen with stove, fridge, microwave, and sink, plus a bathroom with toilet and shower in most Class B, C, and A rigs and larger trailers. Air conditioning is essentially universal here (you'll want it from May through September), and many rentals include a TV, Bluetooth stereo, outdoor awning, leveling blocks, and a generator or solar setup for off-grid stays. Seatbelts in motorhomes determine how many can ride while driving, so check the listing carefully. Pro tip: filter your search by sleeps count and amenities like generator and outdoor shower to match the rig to your trip style perfectly.
nps.gov/articles/000/rv-camping-tips.htm

What add-ons and pickup options should I know about for my Brookhaven rental?

Hosts in Brookhaven offer a wide menu of add-ons to make your trip plug-and-play. Common extras include kitchen kits, linens and bedding, camp chairs, outdoor grills, bike racks, generators, and tank-emptying service so you don't have to dump on your way home. Mileage policies vary, with many hosts offering 100 to 150 free miles per day and reasonable per-mile rates after, plus weekly mileage bundles. Pickup is usually at the host's location in or near Brookhaven, but delivery to your home, Hartsfield-Jackson airport area, or directly to campgrounds like Stone Mountain is very common. Pro tip: bundle linens and a kitchen kit on your first rental, you'll save a trip to Target and start your family RV trip Brookhaven adventure faster.

How does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Payment is simple and secure. You pay through the RVezy platform with a credit card at the time of booking, never directly to the host, which protects both sides. A refundable security deposit is placed as a hold on your card before the trip starts and released after dropoff once the host confirms the RV came back in good shape, typically within a few days. The deposit amount is shown on each listing before you book so there are no surprises. Pro tip: do a quick walk-around video at pickup and dropoff with the host present. It takes 90 seconds, documents the RV's condition, and ensures your deposit comes back fast so you can start planning your next RV trip from Brookhaven.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-works

Where can I park or store an RV in Brookhaven, and can I sleep in it overnight in the city?

Brookhaven is mostly residential, so plan to keep your RV at a campground rather than on city streets. Brookhaven's municipal code restricts long-term parking of RVs on public streets and many neighborhoods limit storing them in driveways for extended periods, so most renters head straight from pickup to a campground. For overnight options near the city, Stone Mountain Park Campground is the closest real RV park (about 15 miles). Pro tip: if you need a one-night staging stop near Hartsfield-Jackson airport before flying out, Atlanta South RV Resort in McDonough is a clean, easy option about 35 miles south.
