We had a fantastic experience with the RV during our recent trip. The vehicle comfortably accommodated our family of four, plus our Rottweiler, Oso. We loved the spacious interior and found it to be well-equipped for our needs. As first-time RV renters, we truly appreciated Howard's responsiveness; he was always available to answer any questions we had, which made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. The ride itself was very comfortable, and we cherished the quality time spent together as a family, both while driving and at the campsites. We will definitely be renting from Howard again in the future!

FANTASTIC RV! Runs really strong as we traveled through the hills of Kentucky! Very, very nice RV and comfortable! The pop-out is just right and easy to set-up! Marisol is a great communicator and host! We had some issues with our flight getting in late and she totally accommodated us for the meet-up as well as the drop-off! Highly recommend she and her AWESOME RV, Thor (ya, it's the model name, but fits this tough little RV)!

Our family was thrilled with our experience with Ryan! The RV was in immaculate condition, and was well stocked with fun games, and plenty of blankets. There was even multiple spices and coffee/hot chocolate pods available for evenings sitting around the table playing games. We created some amazing memories while travelling together, and Ryan was an exceptional host in that experience. We could not recommend Ryan enough!

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Edgewood, KY
How much does it cost to rent an RV in Edgewood, KY?
RV rental in Edgewood, KY is one of the most affordable ways to explore the Cincinnati metro and Northern Kentucky region. On RVezy, you'll typically find travel trailers starting around $80 to $130 per night, Class C motorhomes between $150 and $250 per night, and larger Class A rigs from $250 to $400 per night. To score a cheap RV rental Edgewood travelers love, book midweek, target shoulder months like April or October, and look for hosts offering weekly discounts. Many Edgewood owners also offer delivery within Kenton and Boone counties, often with reduced fees on longer bookings, which can save you another $75 to $150 on your trip.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Edgewood%2C%20KentuckyDo I need a special license to rent an RV in Edgewood, Kentucky?
Good news, your regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Edgewood. Kentucky does not require a commercial driver license (CDL) or any special endorsement for recreational vehicles under 26,000 pounds, which covers virtually every motorhome, campervan, and travel trailer listed on RVezy. You'll just need to be at least 25 years old with a valid license, and RVezy verifies your ID right inside the booking flow. Visiting from abroad? Bring your home-country license plus an International Driving Permit (IDP) from your local auto association. Most first-time renters are surprised how quick the whole process is, often under ten minutes.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039008774-Understanding-approved-driver-requirementsWhat protection is included with my Edgewood RV rental?
Every RV rental in Edgewood, KY booked through RVezy comes with a renter protection plan and 24/7 roadside assistance built right in, so you can hit Interstate 75 or the Ohio River bridges with peace of mind. Protection plans cover most damage to the vehicle during your trip, and you choose your coverage level during checkout, not the host. Plans vary by coverage tier, so review the details before you book to pick what works best for your trip. Pro tip: take a quick walk-around video at pickup and again at drop-off. Hosts appreciate the transparency, and it makes everything smoother on both ends.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailWhat is the cancellation policy if my plans change?
Booking is low risk. RVezy sets the cancellation policy for every reservation, not the individual host, so you'll see consistent terms whether you rent a campervan in Edgewood or a fifth wheel in nearby Florence. There's a money-back grace period right after booking, and additional flexibility depending on how far out you are from your trip start date. RVezy customer support is available before, during, and after your trip if life happens. Translation: you can lock in that Bourbon Trail weekend now and review the full cancellation details in the RVezy Help Center.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037736674-Understanding-the-cancellation-policy-for-guestsCan I bring my dog on a pet-friendly RV rental in Edgewood?
Absolutely, pet-friendly RV rental Edgewood options are plentiful on RVezy, just toggle the Pet-Friendly filter when you search. Once you're on the road, your pup will love Devou Park in nearby Covington with its off-leash dog area and skyline views, or the dog-friendly trails at Big Bone Lick State Historic Site in Union, which welcomes leashed pets throughout the campground and Discovery Trail. Boone County's England-Idlewild Park also has a fenced dog park about 20 minutes from Edgewood. Pro tip: message the host before booking to confirm pet fees (usually $25 to $75 per stay) and to ask about any breed or size considerations.
parks.ky.gov/parks/historic-sites/big-bone-lickCan the RV be delivered to my campground or driveway in Edgewood?
Yes, RV delivery Edgewood is one of the most popular options on RVezy, especially for first-timers who'd rather skip the city driving along I-71 and I-75. Many local hosts will deliver and set up your motorhome or travel trailer right at your campground, your driveway in Edgewood, Crestview Hills, or Fort Mitchell, or even at a tailgate spot near Paycor Stadium across the river in Cincinnati. Delivery fees usually run $2 to $4 per mile, with some hosts offering free delivery within a set radius. Filter by Delivery on the listing page and you'll see hosts who handle the towing, leveling, and walkthrough so you can just unpack and relax.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Edgewood%2C%20KentuckyHow far can I drive on an Edgewood RV trip, and what about mileage limits?
You've got plenty of room to roam on an Edgewood RV trip. Most hosts on RVezy include 100 to 150 free miles per night, and many offer unlimited mileage packages, perfect for an RV road trip from Edgewood to Red River Gorge (about 150 miles southeast), Mammoth Cave National Park (about 200 miles southwest), or the Great Smoky Mountains (about 350 miles south). Louisville's Bourbon Trail is just 90 miles away, and Hocking Hills in Ohio sits about 160 miles northeast. If you're planning a longer haul, message the host before booking to ask about an RV rental with unlimited mileage, many will swap their standard package for a flat fee.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Edgewood%2C%20KentuckyWhat are the best campgrounds near Edgewood, KY for RV camping?
You're spoiled for choice when it comes to RV camping Edgewood. Big Bone Lick State Historic Site in Union (about 20 miles south) offers RV sites with water and electric hookups, a dump station, and a live bison herd, all reservable through the Kentucky State Parks system. Across the river, Winton Woods Campground in Cincinnati offers full hookups and cabin options about 25 minutes away, managed by Great Parks of Hamilton County. AJ Jolly Park in Alexandria (about 25 minutes east) is another solid Northern Kentucky option with lakeside sites. Book weekends early, especially May through October.
parks.ky.gov/parks/historic-sites/big-bone-lickWhen is the best time of year to rent an RV in Edgewood?
Late April through mid-October is the sweet spot for an RV rental Kentucky travelers love, with daytime highs from the upper 60s°F in spring to the upper 80s°F in midsummer. Fall (late September through October) is honestly the local favorite, the humidity drops and fall colors light up the Ohio River bluffs. Winters do dip below freezing December through February, but many hosts list four-season RVs with heated tanks for Cincinnati Bengals tailgates or Christmas at the Creation Museum. Spring brings rain, so pack a light jacket and waterproof shoes.
weather.gov/iln/I've never rented an RV before, will the host help me get started?
You're in great hands, first time renting an RV is something every Edgewood host on RVezy has helped someone through. At pickup, your host walks you through every system, generator, slide-outs, propane, water hookups, and how to use the awning, and most send you off with a printed cheat sheet plus their cell number. You can also message the host directly from the listing before booking to ask anything, from "how easy is it to back up?" to "will this fit at Big Bone Lick?" RVezy's customer support is also available to help. Pro tip: pick a Class C or campervan for your first trip, they drive a lot like a large van.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/categories/360002180553-For-rentersWhat happens if I have a breakdown or issue on the road?
Take a breath, you're covered. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the protection plan, so a flat tire on I-275, a dead battery at a local park, or a propane question at midnight is just one phone call away. The team can dispatch a tow, a tire change, fuel delivery, or a locksmith. Your host is also a great first text, they know their RV inside and out. RVezy customer support is available before, during, and after your trip too. Pro tip: snap a photo of the VIN plate and tire pressure sticker at pickup so you have those numbers handy if you ever need to call for service.
rvezy.com/insurance-and-protectionCan I take my Edgewood RV rental across state lines or into Canada?
Yes, interstate travel is totally welcome, Edgewood sits right on the Ohio border, so most renters cross into Cincinnati on day one. You can absolutely take your RV rental Kentucky-wide and into surrounding states like Ohio, Indiana, Tennessee, and West Virginia without any special paperwork. Cross-border trips into Canada may be possible depending on the host and insurance terms, so confirm with your host before booking if that's on your itinerary. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance coverage doesn't extend there. Popular cross-border runs from Edgewood include the 2-hour drive to Hocking Hills, Ohio, and the 5-hour route to the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039340074-Insurance-coverage-validityWhat kind of fuel mileage should I plan for, and what do gas prices look like?
Plan on roughly 8 to 10 miles per gallon (MPG) for a Class A, 10 to 14 MPG for a Class C, 18 to 22 MPG for a campervan (Class B), and around 12 to 16 MPG for a truck towing a travel trailer. For a 300-mile round-trip RV road trip from Edgewood to Mammoth Cave in a Class C, you're looking at roughly $90 to $130 in fuel depending on current pump prices. Northern Kentucky gas prices typically track close to the national average. Pro tip: fill up at the Kroger or Costco near Turkeyfoot Road before you leave Edgewood, prices there are reliably lower than highway exits.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/How far in advance should I book a campground near Edgewood?
Booking your campground is easier than you'd think. Kentucky State Parks like Big Bone Lick open reservations well in advance through the official reservation system, and summer weekends plus the October peak-color weeks fill first. For most weekdays and shoulder-season weekends, 2 to 4 weeks ahead is plenty. Cincinnati's Great Parks (Winton Woods, Miami Whitewater) book through their own system and tend to sell out 4 to 8 weeks ahead in summer. Pro tip: if you strike out on a Saturday, try a Thursday-Friday-Saturday combo, Thursday arrivals often unlock better site selection.
parks.ky.gov/parks/historic-sites/big-bone-lickWhat's it like driving an RV in and around Edgewood?
Driving an RV around Edgewood is more manageable than most metro areas, the town sits just south of Cincinnati where I-71 and I-75 merge, and traffic is heaviest weekday mornings (7 to 9 a.m.) and afternoons (4 to 6 p.m.). The Brent Spence Bridge over the Ohio River is the main pinch point, so plan crossings outside rush hour. Watch for 11'8" to 13' clearance on a few downtown Cincinnati underpasses, stick to interstates with your taller rig. Hills are gentle around Boone and Kenton counties, and KY-338 toward Big Bone Lick is well-signed and RV-friendly. Pro tip: if city driving makes you nervous, book a host who offers delivery and skip the bridge entirely.
transportation.ky.gov/Pages/default.aspxWhat amenities can I expect at campgrounds around Edgewood?
You'll find a healthy mix at campgrounds near Edgewood. Big Bone Lick State Historic Site offers electric and water at every RV site, a dump station near the entrance, restrooms, showers, laundry, and a small camp store, with no individual sewer hookups, so plan a mid-stay dump for longer trips. Most Cincinnati-area private parks like Winton Woods offer full hookups (water, electric, sewer) plus Wi-Fi and pools. For where to park an RV in Edgewood with water fills and dumps, AJ Jolly Park in Alexandria, KY (about 25 minutes east) and most Pilot/Flying J truck stops along I-75 have public dump stations for a small fee. Pro tip: ask hosts if they include a sewer hose and water pressure regulator, most do.
parks.ky.gov/parks/historic-sites/big-bone-lickWhat's included inside a typical Edgewood RV rental?
Edgewood RV rentals come ready to roll. Expect a full kitchen with fridge/freezer, propane stove, microwave, and basic cookware, a bathroom with toilet and shower, sleeping for 2 to 8 depending on the floorplan, climate control with air conditioning and furnace, and seatbelted seating for travel. Most listings include a TV, and many feature Wi-Fi hotspots or cellular boosters, handy along the Ohio River bluffs where signal can dip. Generators are common on Class C and Class A motorhomes for off-grid camping. Check the listing's amenities list for specifics like outdoor showers, awnings, and bike racks. Pro tip: filter by Sleeps to match your group, a motorhome rental Edgewood family of four usually fits comfortably in a 24 to 28-foot Class C.
kentuckytourism.com/things-to-do/outdoorsWhat add-ons and options can I get with my rental?
Edgewood hosts offer some genuinely useful extras to customize your trip. Common add-ons include camping chairs and tables ($10 to $25 per trip), bedding and linen packages ($25 to $50), generator use ($3 to $5 per hour), bike or kayak racks, propane refills, and pet packages. Pickup is usually at the host's location in Edgewood, Erlanger, or Fort Wright, with delivery available for an extra fee based on mileage. Standard mileage policies are 100 to 150 miles per night included, with overages around $0.30 to $0.45 per mile. Pro tip: bundle delivery, generator hours, and a propane top-off when you message the host, many will discount the package versus paying à la carte.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Edgewood%2C%20KentuckyHow does the security deposit and payment work on RVezy?
Payment is straightforward and secure, you pay through RVezy's platform with a credit or debit card, never directly to the host. A security deposit is held separately from your booking payment, typically as a hold on your card before pickup, and released after your trip assuming no damage or excess fees. To avoid issues, do a thorough walk-around video at pickup and drop-off, return the RV with the agreed fuel and propane levels, dump your tanks, and stay within your mileage and generator allowances. Pro tip: keep all your fuel receipts from local stations near Edgewood, they're proof if any fuel-level question comes up later.
