We had a fantastic experience with the RV during our recent trip. The vehicle comfortably accommodated our family of four, plus our Rottweiler, Oso. We loved the spacious interior and found it to be well-equipped for our needs. As first-time RV renters, we truly appreciated Howard's responsiveness; he was always available to answer any questions we had, which made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. The ride itself was very comfortable, and we cherished the quality time spent together as a family, both while driving and at the campsites. We will definitely be renting from Howard again in the future!

FANTASTIC RV! Runs really strong as we traveled through the hills of Kentucky! Very, very nice RV and comfortable! The pop-out is just right and easy to set-up! Marisol is a great communicator and host! We had some issues with our flight getting in late and she totally accommodated us for the meet-up as well as the drop-off! Highly recommend she and her AWESOME RV, Thor (ya, it's the model name, but fits this tough little RV)!

Our family was thrilled with our experience with Ryan! The RV was in immaculate condition, and was well stocked with fun games, and plenty of blankets. There was even multiple spices and coffee/hot chocolate pods available for evenings sitting around the table playing games. We created some amazing memories while travelling together, and Ryan was an exceptional host in that experience. We could not recommend Ryan enough!

Choose a Class B campervan or a smaller travel trailer (under 25 feet) for your first trip; they handle much like a large SUV and fit easily on I-471, I-275, and the Highland Heights stretch of US-27. Hosts are typically just a text away during your trip if questions pop up. Take a short practice loop around Northern Kentucky University before heading out and you'll feel confident in minutes.

Fuel is usually the biggest variable cost, but it's easy to estimate. Class B campervans average 18 to 22 miles per gallon (MPG), Class C motorhomes around 8 to 12 MPG, and Class A motorhomes 6 to 10 MPG. Towed travel trailers and fifth wheels depend on your tow vehicle. Kentucky gas prices typically run a bit below the national average, with several cheap stations along US-27 and AA Highway in Campbell County. For a 4-day, 400-mile family RV trip Highland Heights to Red River Gorge and back in a Class C, plan on roughly $150 to $200 in fuel. Pro tip: the GasBuddy app combined with Costco in Cold Spring saves real money.

County parks like AJ Jolly in Campbell County book quickly for July 4th and fall color weekends. For a spontaneous weekend, target Sunday through Thursday arrivals, or look at first-come, first-served loops at East Fork State Park just over the Ohio border. Pro tip: pair your booking with a Cincinnati Reds homestand and arrive Thursday afternoon for the best site selection.
reservations.parks.ky.gov/What are the local driving conditions like around Highland Heights?
Highland Heights sits just minutes from I-471, I-275, and I-71/75, so you'll be on smooth interstate quickly. The main thing to know: the Brent Spence Bridge and the I-471 Big Mac Bridge into downtown Cincinnati can get congested during weekday rush hours (7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.) so plan pickups and drop-offs around those windows. Watch overhead clearance on a few older parkways and avoid the narrow streets of Mt. Adams in Cincinnati with anything over 25 feet. Once you're south of I-275 on US-27, the rolling Kentucky countryside is RV heaven. In winter, watch for black ice on the river bridges; KYTC posts real-time conditions on GoKY.

Many also have boat ramps, playgrounds, and camp stores. If you're boondocking or staying somewhere primitive, you can dump tanks and fill fresh water at AJ Jolly's central dump station for a small fee, or use the Pilot Travel Center off I-275 in Walton. Pro tip: bring a 25-foot drinking-water hose and a surge protector, two items that make every camping stop smoother.

help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106394-How-to-pay-for-your-bookingHow does payment and the security deposit work for an RV rental in Highland Heights?

A refundable security deposit is held on your card a few days before pickup; the amount is shown on each listing and typically ranges from $500 to $1,500 depending on the RV's value. As long as you return the RV in the condition you received it, with the agreed fuel and tank levels, the deposit is released back to you after the trip. Pro tip: take timestamped photos at pickup and drop-off to keep everything smooth.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-worksWhat's a great weekend road trip from Highland Heights?
You're perfectly positioned for short, scenic getaways. Top RV road trip from Highland Heights ideas: Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge State Resort Park (about 2 hours 15 minutes southeast) for hiking and arches; the Kentucky Bourbon Trail loop through Lexington, Frankfort, and Bardstown (under 90 minutes to the first distilleries); Mammoth Cave National Park (about 3 hours south) for the world's longest cave system; Cumberland Falls State Resort Park (around 3 hours, home of the famous moonbow); and Hocking Hills State Park in Ohio (about 2 hours 30 minutes northeast). For a quick overnight, AJ Jolly Park is 15 minutes away. Lock in your dates, hit the road, and let Northern Kentucky's central location do the rest.
