Beautiful, clean, well appointed and easy to drive RV with intuitive controls. J was easy to reach and very helpful. Drove from Michigan to North Carolina and back in snow in gusting winds and I didn’t have to fight the vehicle to stay on the road. Visibility was superb. I highly recommend and would rent this RV again

2019 Thor Motor Coach Class C
My wife and I had a fantastic first-time RV rental from Vanessa. We attended a 3-day music festival and our accommodations were everything we had hoped for. Right from the start we were able to totally enjoy our trip. Vanessa's associate did a fantastic job orienting us to the RV and covered everything that we needed to know; nothing was missed. We were able to level the RV and set it up for three days of fun with no problem at all. Vanessa thought of everything that we would need to be self sufficient; from garbage bags to paper towels, dishes, silverware, pots and pans, salt and pepper, dish soap, hangers, fly swatter, etc., etc. We had EVERYTHING we needed, all we had to pack was our clothes and food. We had no issues with the RV at all. We couldn't have asked for a better RV rental experience than we had with Vanessa. When we rent again, it will be through Vanessa for sure!!! Thank you Vanessa!!!

2018 Thor Motor Coach Class C
We rented Bryan’s 2018 Thor Class C motorhome for a quick 2-night trip, and it was absolutely perfect! The RV was in excellent condition. Clean, well-maintained, and clearly very well cared for. Everything worked exactly as it should, and you can tell Bryan takes pride in keeping it in top shape. Bryan himself was an absolute delight to work with. He was friendly, responsive, and great with communication from start to finish. He made the whole process simple and stress-free, and his thorough walk-through made us feel confident using the RV right away. If you’re looking for a smooth rental experience with a reliable and comfortable motorhome, I can’t recommend Bryan and his Thor Class C enough. We’d happily rent from him again! Update: We are renting it again! We already booked another trip with Bryan. Don’t hesitate to rent from Bryan. He made this so easy.

Stephani was very professional, timely and really easy to work with. We'd not only recommend her to others, we will likely be a repeat customer in the future. The RV came with all the "extra's" that matter such as utensils, towels, etc. We didn't have a worry throughout our trip because it was all included.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Adrian, MI

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Adrian, MI?

RV rental in Adrian, MI is affordable compared to big-city markets. Travel trailers typically average around $125 to $175 per night, while motorhomes generally run $200 to $300 per night, and many hosts offer 10 to 20 percent discounts on weekly or monthly bookings. To find a cheap RV rental in Adrian, filter by travel trailers (often the best value), book midweek instead of weekends, and aim for shoulder season in May or September when Irish Hills demand cools off. Pro tip: pairing a smaller trailer with a nearby state park site at Hayes or Cambridge Junction can keep your total nightly cost very reasonable.

What license do I need to rent an RV in Adrian, MI?

Good news: a regular driver's license (Michigan, any US state, or a valid international license) is all you need to rent an RV in Adrian, MI. Michigan does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or special endorsement for the Class B campervans, Class C motorhomes, and travel trailers most guests book on RVezy. The only exception is the Recreational Double 'R' endorsement, which applies if you tow a fifth wheel plus an additional trailer, something almost no renter ever does. You'll need to meet RVezy's approved driver requirements (generally 25 or older) and verify your ID during booking. Visiting from abroad? Bring an International Driving Permit (IDP) alongside your home license and you're set.

Is my RV rental in Adrian protected if something goes wrong?

Yes, every RVezy booking in Adrian comes with a renter protection plan and 24/7 roadside assistance included, so you're covered from the moment you pick up the keys. The protection plan covers damage to the RV at the coverage level you choose during checkout (not the host), giving you financial peace of mind. That means whether you're heading to Lake Hudson Recreation Area or the Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, you can focus on the trip instead of the what-ifs. Pro tip: review the coverage tiers at checkout so you pick the level that matches your route and comfort.

What if I need to cancel my Adrian RV rental?

Booking is low-risk: RVezy (not the host) sets the cancellation policy, with a grace-period window after booking where you can cancel for a full refund. After that, refunds depend on how far out your trip is. Because RVezy manages this centrally, you don't have to decode different host rules, and if a host ever cancels on you, RVezy will help you get a refund or rebook. Pro tip: lock in your Lenawee County dates early (Michigan International Speedway race weekends sell out fast), knowing the grace-period safety net has your back if plans shift.

Can I bring my dog on a pet-friendly RV rental in Adrian, MI?

Absolutely, pet-friendly RV rental in Adrian, MI is easy to find. Just toggle the 'Pet-Friendly' filter on RVezy and you'll see hosts who welcome dogs (some allow cats too). Michigan state parks are dog-friendly: leashed pets are welcome at W.J. Hayes State Park and Lake Hudson Recreation Area. Message the host before booking to confirm pet fees and any breed or size notes. Pro tip: pack a tie-out, water bowl, and a towel for muddy paws after Hidden Lake Gardens trail walks in Tipton.

Can the RV be delivered to my campground in Adrian?

Yes, RV delivery in Adrian is one of the smartest moves for first-timers. Many local hosts will drive the RV straight to your campsite at W.J. Hayes State Park in Onsted or Apple Creek Campground in Brooklyn, level it, hook up water and power, and walk you through every system before they leave. That means zero towing stress and no learning curve in a parking lot. Use the 'Delivery' filter when you search, then message the host with your campground name to confirm distance and fee. Pro tip: delivery pairs perfectly with race weekends at Michigan International Speedway, where towing rigs in is a headache.

How far can I drive on an Adrian RV trip?

You've got incredible range from Adrian, MI. Most hosts include 100 to 150 free miles per night, and many offer add-on mileage packages or RV rental with unlimited mileage for road-trip bookings. To put it in perspective: Detroit is about 75 miles northeast, Ann Arbor is 40 miles north, Toledo is 35 miles south, Sleeping Bear Dunes is about 240 miles northwest, and Mackinaw City is roughly 270 miles north. Pro tip: ask about the per-mile overage rate so you can budget confidently.

Where are the best campgrounds near Adrian, MI?

You're spoiled for choice when it comes to RV camping near Adrian. Top local picks include W.J. Hayes State Park in Onsted (modern sites with electric, swimming beach on Wamplers Lake, about 15 miles from Adrian), Lake Hudson Recreation Area south of Adrian (a designated Dark Sky Preserve, amazing for stargazing), Apple Creek Resort & RV Park in Brooklyn (full hookups near Michigan International Speedway), and Somerset Beach Campground near Manitou Beach with sandy lake access. Book Michigan state park sites up to six months ahead at MiDNRReservations.com. Pro tip: Lake Hudson's lack of light pollution makes summer Milky Way views unreal.

When is the best time to rent an RV in Adrian, MI?

Late May through early October is prime RV season in Adrian, with July as the sweet spot: average highs near 83 degrees, lows around 62, and long daylight hours. June and September are quieter shoulder months with mild 70-degree days, fewer mosquitoes, and easier campground availability. Fall foliage peaks in mid-October across the Irish Hills, painting the rolling moraines in reds and golds. Winters are cold (January highs near 32 degrees with snow), so most private campgrounds close from November through April. Pro tip: book NASCAR weekend in Brooklyn six months out, but for a peaceful Adrian RV trip, target the second week of September.

I've never driven an RV. Will I be okay renting one in Adrian?

You're going to be just fine, first time renting an RV is more common than you'd think on RVezy. Every Adrian host walks you through the entire rig at pickup: how to level it, hook up shore power, dump tanks, run the generator, and operate the slide-outs. Adrian itself is gentle starter territory: flat-to-rolling terrain, light traffic on US-223 and M-52, and easy access to wide-open state park roads. Choose a Class B campervan or Class C motorhome for the friendliest learning curve, and ask your host for a quick test-drive loop. Pro tip: practice backing into a site at Hayes State Park, the loops are big and forgiving.

What happens if I break down during my RV rental in Adrian?

Take a breath, you're covered. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the renter protection plan, so a flat tire on US-12 through the Irish Hills, a dead battery at Lake Hudson, or a tow off I-94 is just one phone call away. Your host is also a direct line for any RV-specific quirks (they know their rig better than anyone), and RVezy's customer support is available before, during, and after the trip. Pro tip: snap a photo of the RV's VIN, license plate, and propane and tire info during your walkthrough so you have all the details ready if you ever need to call for help.

Can I take my Adrian RV rental across state lines or into Canada?

Yes, interstate travel from Adrian is easy and most hosts welcome it. You're 35 miles from Toledo, Ohio, about 50 miles from the Indiana line, and a popular RV road trip from Adrian heads up to Mackinaw City or across the Ambassador Bridge in Detroit into Windsor, Ontario. Cross-border travel into Canada is sometimes allowed, but it depends on the host and the protection plan, so message them directly before booking to confirm. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on any RVezy rental because coverage does not extend there. Pro tip: if you're crossing into Canada, bring your passport, vehicle registration, and written cross-border authorization from the host.

How much should I budget for fuel on an Adrian RV trip?

Fuel is one of the easier line items to budget in Michigan. Gas prices in Lenawee County typically track close to the state average, and you'll get roughly 8 to 10 MPG in a Class C motorhome, 18 to 22 MPG in a Class B campervan, and your tow vehicle MPG (minus about 30 percent) when pulling a travel trailer. For a typical Adrian-to-Sleeping-Bear-Dunes loop of around 500 miles, plan on $175 to $275 in fuel for a Class C. Pro tip: fill up in Adrian or Tecumseh before heading north, prices climb noticeably once you're past Cadillac in tourist country.

How far ahead should I book a campground near Adrian?

Book early and you'll have your pick of the best sites. Michigan state parks open reservations six months in advance through MiDNRReservations.com, so for a July 4th stay at W.J. Hayes State Park, set a calendar reminder for early January. Private parks like Apple Creek and Somerset Beach also fill fast for Michigan International Speedway race weekends, often 3 to 4 months out. Need flexibility? Some state forest campgrounds operate first-come, first-served. Pro tip: if the system shows partial availability, book the nights you can secure, then call the park to ask about consolidating your stay.

What are local driving conditions like around Adrian?

Driving in and around Adrian is RV-friendly and refreshingly low-stress. The terrain is flat to gently rolling, the main routes (US-223, US-127, M-52, and US-12) are well-maintained two and four-lane highways, and traffic only really thickens during Michigan International Speedway events in Brooklyn. Watch for two real things: winter weather from November through March can bring black ice and snow squalls, and Michigan's famous pothole season hits hard in spring, so take it easy on county roads in April. Pro tip: avoid US-12 westbound on race Sundays, take M-50 through Tecumseh instead for a scenic, traffic-free alternative.
michigan.gov/mdot

What amenities do campgrounds near Adrian offer?

Local campgrounds cover the full spectrum. Modern Michigan state park sites at W.J. Hayes and Sterling State Park include 30 or 50-amp electric, potable water spigots, flush toilets, hot showers, and on-site dump stations. Private parks like Apple Creek Resort and Somerset Beach Campground typically add full hookups (water, electric, and sewer right at the site), Wi-Fi, pools, and camp stores. Most Lenawee County state recreation areas allow registered campers to use the dump station included with their stay. Pro tip: bring a 25-foot drinking-safe water hose and a 30-to-50 amp adapter, sites vary and you'll be ready for anything.
michigan.gov/dnr/things-to-do/camping-and-lodging/state-park-camping

What's actually inside an RV rental in Adrian?

More than you'd expect. A typical motorhome rental in Adrian comes fully equipped with a queen or king bed, convertible dinette and sofa sleepers, a full kitchen (fridge, freezer, propane stove, microwave, sink, cookware), a bathroom with toilet and shower, air conditioning, furnace heat, and a dining and living area. Most include a TV and many offer onboard generators, awnings, and outdoor speakers. Wi-Fi is host-dependent, so message ahead if you need to work on the road. Class B campervan rental Adrian options trade space for nimbleness but still pack a bed, kitchenette, and wet bath. Pro tip: check the listing photos for seatbelt count, every passenger needs one while driving.
nhtsa.gov/road-safety/seat-belts

What add-ons and pickup options should I know about?

Adrian hosts make your trip turnkey. Popular add-ons include linen and kitchen kits ($25 to $75), camp chairs and outdoor tables, bikes, generators, propane tanks, and even pre-stocked groceries. Mileage packages are usually 100 to 150 free miles per night with the option to pre-buy more, and pickup is typically at the host's home in or near Adrian (with delivery available for a fee). Pickup runs about 30 to 60 minutes including the walkthrough, and drop-off is similar. Pro tip: pre-purchase your mileage and generator hours upfront, they're cheaper than overage rates if you're heading to Michigan International Speedway or up north.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Adrian,%20Michigan

How does payment and the security deposit work?

Payment is simple and secure: RVezy processes everything through the platform with major credit cards, so you never hand cash to a host. You'll pay for your booking through RVezy, and the security deposit is held separately, typically authorized on your card a few days before pickup (commonly $500 to $1,500 depending on the RV). As long as you return the rig in the same condition, with the agreed fuel and tank levels, the deposit hold is released after drop-off. Pro tip: do a thorough time-stamped video walkaround at pickup and drop-off, it's the single best way to avoid any security deposit dispute.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-works

Can I rent an RV in Adrian during winter?

Yes, winter RV rental in Adrian is possible and quietly magical, though your options narrow. Some hosts winterize their rigs from December through March, but others offer four-season RVs with heated holding tanks, enclosed underbellies, and propane furnaces built for Michigan cold (January lows average around 18 degrees). You'll want a campground with shore power, since running the furnace overnight burns propane fast. Look for private parks that stay open year-round, and message hosts about cold-weather readiness before booking. Filter for 'Instant Book' to speed things up. Pro tip: pack a heated water hose, RV antifreeze for the holding tanks, and skirting if you're staying put for more than two nights, your pipes will thank you.
