Perfect RV to rent for our family of 5. Plenty of sleeping space. Very clean RV!!! I chose the delivery option, which made it so easy. Alex showed up exactly when he said and set everything up for us. He was very thorough showing us how everything works, etc. I would 100 percent recommend this RV. We will be renting from him again in the future!

RV was great and owners are well prepared, helpful, and organized … no issues over a three night rental.. website fees certainly make the nightly price well beyond what you start with… but a great vehicle nonetheless

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Marathon, NY
How much does it cost to rent an RV in Marathon, NY?
An RV rental in Marathon, NY is one of the more affordable ways to explore the Finger Lakes region. On RVezy, travel trailers typically start around $75 to $150 per night, while Class C motorhomes and larger fifth wheels generally run $175 to $300 per night. Mid-week stays and shoulder season bookings in late May or September tend to deliver the best value. If you're hunting for a cheap RV rental in Marathon, filter for tent trailers and small travel trailers, then look for hosts offering delivery so you skip towing costs. Pro tip: booking three to four weeks ahead of a summer weekend usually locks in better rates than waiting until the last minute.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Marathon%2C%20New%20YorkDo I need a special license to rent an RV in Marathon, NY?
A regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Marathon, NY. New York State does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for personal-use motorhomes, travel trailers, or campervans you'll find on RVezy. Approved RVezy renters are generally 25 or older and need to upload a valid driver's license through the platform for quick ID confirmation. Visiting from outside the United States? Bring an International Driving Permit (IDP) along with your home-country license. Your host will walk you through every system at pickup so you drive away confident.

Yes, every RV rental in Marathon, NY booked through RVezy includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can hit the road with real peace of mind. During checkout, you choose the level of coverage that fits your trip: the host doesn't make that decision, you do. The protection plan helps cover damages to the vehicle, which is reassuring when you're navigating unfamiliar back roads around the Finger Lakes. Coverage levels and inclusions vary by plan, and the full details are shown at checkout. Pro tip: take a quick video walkaround of the RV at pickup and drop-off, it's the easiest way to keep everything smooth.

Booking is low-risk. RVezy, not the host, sets the cancellation policy for every motorhome rental in Marathon, including a grace-period window after booking where you can receive a full refund. Specific refund amounts depend on how far in advance you cancel and circumstances like severe weather, which matters in Central New York where winter storms can roll through. The full cancellation policy is available on the RVezy Help Center so you can review it anytime before confirming. Pro tip: book early to lock in your dates and dream RV, you have flexibility built in, and Finger Lakes summer weekends sell out fast.

Check each listing for any breed or size notes, and message the host directly if you have a senior dog or a big pup. Pro tip: pack a long tie-out line and a portable water bowl, your dog will thank you after a day exploring the Tioughnioga River trails.
dec.ny.gov/places/hoxie-gorge-state-forestCan the RV be delivered to my campsite in Marathon, NY?
Yes, RV delivery in Marathon is one of the most popular options on RVezy, especially for first-time renters. Many hosts will tow the RV directly to your campsite, level it, hook up water and electric, and walk you through every system. That means zero towing stress on your end, you just show up and start your trip. Delivery fees usually depend on distance from the host's location, and you can see the price right on the listing. Pro tip: book delivery to a campground with full hookups so you can focus on the s'mores, not the setup.

parks.ny.gov/camping/When is the best time to visit Marathon, NY in an RV?
Late May through mid-October is the sweet spot for RV camping in Marathon, NY. Summer from June to August brings warm days averaging 75 to 82 F and cool nights in the 55 to 60 F range, ideal for sleeping with the windows open. September and early October are arguably the best of all: foliage in the Tully Hills and surrounding state forests turns brilliant red and gold, daytime temps hover in the 60s, and campgrounds quiet down after Labor Day. Winters here are genuinely cold and snowy, often dipping below 20 F, so most local campgrounds close mid-October through mid-May. Pro tip: target the third week of September for peak fall color and great shoulder-season rates.
weather.gov/bgm/I've never driven an RV before. Will I be okay around Marathon?
You'll be in great shape: Marathon is one of the friendliest places in New York to learn. The village sits right off I-81 with wide rural roads, light traffic, and no big-city congestion. Your RVezy host will give you a full walkthrough at pickup covering driving, leveling, propane, water, and dump station basics, so you're not figuring it out alone. First time renting an RV? Choose a Class C motorhome or a small travel trailer with delivery included, so all you do is drive yourself to the campground in your own car. Pro tip: do a short practice loop on Route 11 north of town before heading toward hillier routes near Greek Peak.
