RV & camper rentals in Lisbon, OH

Good news: an RV rental in Lisbon, OH is one of the most affordable ways to explore eastern Ohio's Appalachian foothills. On RVezy, you can typically expect travel trailers from around $80 to $150 per night, campervans from $125 to $200, and Class C motorhomes from $175 to $275 per night, depending on size, age, and season. Mid-week stays and shoulder-season trips in late April or September are the easiest way to score a cheap RV rental Lisbon area visitors love. Pro tip: filter by 'Delivery' so a host drops the rig at Beaver Creek State Park or the KOA in Calcutta, and you'll save fuel money on your first day.

Renting an RV in Lisbon is refreshingly simple. You need to be 25 or older with a valid driver's license: no commercial driver's license (CDL) or special RV endorsement is required in Ohio for any of the motorhomes or travel trailers you will find on RVezy. Visiting from abroad? Pick up an International Driving Permit (IDP) from your home country's auto association before you fly in. RVezy verifies your ID right inside the booking flow, so once you upload your license you can focus on the fun part: mapping out your Lisbon RV trip through Columbiana County's covered bridges and wineries.

You are protected from the moment you book. Every RV rental in Lisbon, OH on RVezy includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you are never on your own. During checkout you choose the protection level that fits your trip, and the plan helps cover eligible damage to the RV while it is in your care. It is not traditional auto insurance, but it provides solid peace of mind on winding roads like State Route 7 along the Ohio River. Pro tip: review the protection options before finalizing your booking so you can hit the Lincoln Highway with confidence.

Booking is low risk, so go ahead and lock in your dates. RVezy sets the cancellation policy for every reservation (it is not host defined), and it includes a money back grace period right after you book so you can change your mind early without penalty. After that, refunds depend on how close you are to your trip start date. If a host cancels, you receive a refund or travel credit. Pro tip: confirm dates with your group before you book, then reserve early since summer weekends in Columbiana County fill quickly around the Shaker Woods and Johnny Appleseed Festivals.

Absolutely, your pup is welcome. Plenty of owners on RVezy offer a pet-friendly RV rental Lisbon travelers love: just toggle the 'Pet-Friendly' filter when you search and you'll see every host who allows dogs (some allow cats too). Many charge a small pet cleaning fee, which is shown upfront. Once you're here, Beaver Creek State Park has leashed-dog-friendly trails along the Little Beaver Creek, and the 12-mile Greenway Trail between Lisbon and Leetonia is paved and perfect for a leash-friendly stroll past the Beehive Coke Ovens. Pro tip: message the host before booking to confirm any size or breed preferences and to ask about a tie-out at the campsite.

Yes, and it's the easiest way to start your trip. RV delivery Lisbon hosts is a popular option, and many owners will drop the rig directly at Beaver Creek State Park, Guilford Lake State Park, Calcutta/West Point KOA Journey, or Salem/Lisbon KOA Holiday, level it, hook up water and power, and walk you through every system before they leave. Delivery fees usually run $2 to $4 per mile from the host's location, with most Lisbon-area campgrounds within 15 to 25 miles. Use the 'Delivery' filter to see who offers it. Pro tip: if it's your first time renting an RV, delivery removes 90% of the learning curve so you can spend day one fishing on Guilford Lake instead of figuring out the leveling jacks.

You've got plenty of road ahead. Every RVezy listing shows the host's daily mileage allowance upfront (commonly 100 to 150 miles per day), and you can also find listings with unlimited mileage by sorting your search results, which is ideal if you're planning a longer loop. Lisbon sits at the crossroads of Ohio Route 11 and US Route 30, so day trips and overnights are easy: Pittsburgh, PA is about 55 miles east, Cleveland is roughly 80 miles northwest, and Amish Country around Berlin and Sugarcreek is 75 miles west. Pro tip: estimate your mileage before booking and look for hosts offering discounted extra-mile packages so a longer Ohio loop stays budget-friendly.

You're spoiled for choice for RV camping Lisbon style. The top picks: Beaver Creek State Park (11652 Leslie Road) has 45 wooded sites with electric hookups along the Little Beaver Creek and access to Pioneer Village and Gaston's Mill. Guilford Lake State Park (6835 East Lake Road) offers 40 sites with full hookups beside a 400-acre lake great for kayaking. Calcutta/West Point KOA Journey is a clean, easy-access park just south of Lisbon with long pull-thrus. Salem/Lisbon KOA Holiday sits on 65 wooded acres with full hookups, a heated pool, and a fishing pond. Whitehouse RV Park on Leslie Road rounds out the list with 20 full-hookup sites. Pro tip: book Ohio State Parks through the official reservation system as soon as your dates lock in.

Late spring through early fall is the sweet spot. May through October brings warm days (70 to 85°F) and cool nights ideal for campfires, with July and August being the warmest at highs in the mid-80s. September and early October are the local favorite: leaves turn brilliant gold and red across the Appalachian foothills, crowds thin, and rates drop. Spring (April to mid-May) is gorgeous along the Little Beaver Creek Greenway when wildflowers bloom, though pack a rain jacket. Pro tip: time your visit to mid-September for the Johnny Appleseed Festival in Lisbon or August for Shaker Woods Festival, both massive draws for an Ohio RV trip.

You're going to do great, and Lisbon is one of the easier places in Ohio to learn. Rural two-lane roads, light traffic, and gentle Appalachian hills mean you can build confidence without battling city traffic. Every RVezy host gives you a full walkthrough at pickup covering the generator, slide-outs, water system, propane, and dump procedures, and they're a text away during your whole trip. If a first time renting an RV still feels intimidating, choose a Class C motorhome or a campervan: both drive much like a large van or U-Haul. Pro tip: ask your host to ride along for the first mile, or simply choose delivery so the rig is set up at your campsite when you arrive.

You are covered, day or night. Every booking on RVezy includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the renter protection plan, so a flat tire on US Route 30, a dead battery at Guilford Lake, or a stuck slide-out at Beaver Creek State Park is handled with one phone call. RVezy support can dispatch help, coordinate with your host, and keep your trip moving. Cell coverage is generally good along Routes 11 and 30 but can dip in the deeper hollows near Little Beaver Creek. Pro tip: save the RVezy support number and your host's number in your phone before you leave, and snap a quick photo of the rig's VIN at pickup so any service call goes faster.

Lisbon's location at the elbow of Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia makes it a launch pad for great loops. Popular RV road trip from Lisbon options include: Pittsburgh, PA (about 55 miles, 1 hour) for city lights and Point State Park; Cleveland and Lake Erie (about 80 miles, 1.5 hours) for waterfront camping; Cuyahoga Valley National Park (about 75 miles) for scenic train rides and waterfalls; Amish Country around Berlin/Sugarcreek (about 75 miles) for buggy rides and bakeries; and Mountaineer Casino in Newell, WV (about 30 minutes). Cross-state travel is fine, but trips into Mexico aren't permitted on RVezy rentals. Pro tip: confirm any out-of-state travel with your host in the message thread so insurance stays valid.

Fuel is one of the easiest costs to forecast. Most Class C motorhomes and travel trailer tow vehicles get 8 to 12 miles per gallon (MPG), while a campervan rental Lisbon visitors love (Class B) can hit 16 to 20 MPG. Ohio gas prices typically run a bit below the national average, and Lisbon has several stations including Smith Oil and Sheetz a few miles north on Route 11. For a 4-day, 400-mile loop in a Class C at $3.40/gallon, budget roughly $135 to $170 in fuel. Pro tip: fill up in Ohio before crossing into Pennsylvania where prices are usually higher, and use GasBuddy to find the cheapest pumps along Route 30.

Earlier is better, but you've still got options. Ohio State Park campgrounds like Beaver Creek and Guilford Lake open reservations 6 months in advance through the official Ohio State Parks reservation portal, and prime summer weekends (especially around the 4th of July and the Columbiana County Fair in late July) book out 2 to 3 months ahead. KOA properties around Lisbon take reservations up to a year out. For weekday or shoulder-season stays in May or September, two to three weeks of lead time is usually enough. Pro tip: if state park sites are full, the Salem/Lisbon KOA and Whitehouse RV Park near Beaver Creek almost always have availability and welcome big rigs.

Driving here is relaxed and scenic. Lisbon sits in the rolling Appalachian foothills with US Route 30 (the Lincoln Highway) and Ohio Route 11 as the main RV-friendly corridors: both are wide, well-paved, and easy for any size motorhome. Back roads through Beaver Creek State Park and toward Hellbender Bluff County Park can be narrow with tight curves, so take it slow with a larger Class A. Winters (December through February) bring snow and occasional ice, so plan a winter trip carefully. Pro tip: avoid the historic downtown Lisbon square in a long rig (the streets around the Columbiana County Courthouse are tight); park on the edge of town and walk the few blocks to Pondi's, a local favorite since 1916.

You'll find everything you need to camp comfortably. Beaver Creek State Park has electric hookups (no water/sewer at sites), flush toilets, hot showers, and a dump station near the campground entrance. Guilford Lake State Park offers full hookups at many sites, a swim beach, and a dump station. Calcutta/West Point KOA Journey and Salem/Lisbon KOA Holiday both deliver full hookups (water, electric, sewer), Wi-Fi, laundry, a pool (KOA Holiday), and propane refills. For potable water and dump runs between stops, the Ohio State Park dump stations are free for registered campers. Pro tip: bring a 25-foot drinking-water hose and a 30-amp to 50-amp adapter so any of these hookups work with your rig.

More than you'd expect. A typical motorhome rental Lisbon owners list on RVezy comes ready to camp: real beds with linens (often), a kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, sink, cookware, and dishes, a bathroom with toilet and shower, heat and air conditioning, a dinette, and seatbelted seating for travel. Most Class C and Class A rigs include a generator for off-grid power, and many add a TV, Bluetooth stereo, outdoor awning, and Wi-Fi hotspot. Campervans are more compact but still offer a bed, kitchenette, and often a portable toilet. Each listing's amenity list shows exactly what's onboard. Pro tip: filter for 'Generator' if you're booking Beaver Creek State Park, since those sites have electric but no sewer.

Owners make it easy to customize your trip. Popular add-ons on RVezy include camping chairs and tables, bedding and towel kits, kitchen kits, bike racks, generators, and propane fills, with pricing shown on each listing before you book. Delivery and setup is the most loved upgrade in the Lisbon area: hosts will drop the rig at Beaver Creek State Park, Guilford Lake State Park, or your private property. Pickup at the host's home is typically free, and most hosts offer a 1 to 2 hour orientation walkthrough. Mileage policies and any fees are spelled out on every listing. Pro tip: bundle delivery, setup, and a stocked kitchen add-on for a true turn-key first trip, especially handy if you are flying into Pittsburgh International Airport about 50 miles east.

It is straightforward and secure. You pay through the RVezy platform with a credit or debit card (never directly to the host), so every transaction is tracked and protected. The host's security deposit is shown on the listing before you book and is separate from your booking payment, typically held as a temporary authorization on your card rather than a charged amount. Assuming the RV comes back clean, on time, and undamaged, the hold is released after your trip ends. Pro tip: take time stamped photos and a short video of the interior and exterior at pickup and drop off, do a quick walk through with the host, and you will sail through the deposit return with zero surprises.

Yes, winter RVing in eastern Ohio is a quiet, beautiful experience if you prep right. Some RVezy hosts keep their rigs available November through March, especially four-season trailers and motorhomes with heated holding tanks and good furnaces. Daytime highs in Lisbon average roughly 35 to 40 degrees F December through February with overnight lows often in the teens to mid 20s, and snow is common, so look for a listing with heated tanks, skirting ready setup, and a reliable propane furnace. Many state park campgrounds switch to electric only or limited services in winter, so book a KOA that stays open year round when possible. Pro tip: ask your host for cold weather tips during your walkthrough, keep the freshwater tank partially full, and pack traction aids if heading toward higher elevation roads near the Pennsylvania line.
