2024 Forest River Travel Trailer
Great constant communication in pickup and drop off. Wonderful trailer/RV and all things needed for camp setup included, and then some (excellent documentation and instructions provided after the hand-off, very thoughtfully stocked). Very comfortable in all changing weather conditions! The “electric fireplace” really made the trip pleasant and comfortable. Wonderful time and trip in this easy hauling RV. Drop off was super easy and helpful by the owners. Will rent again.

2022 Cruiser RV Travel Trailer
Host was great. Walked through trailer and common operations before pick up. Delivery was very simple. RV did its job. Taxes and fees on top of RV rental are substantial. Price per night for the RV alone was reasonable.

2022 Grand Design Travel Trailer
We had a great experience renting this travel trailer. It was very well maintained, clean, and comfortable throughout our stay. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and the fully stocked kitchen was a plus! The host was excellent—very responsive both before our trip and while we were on the road. We did run into an issue with the generator connection, but the host was quick to respond and genuinely helpful in troubleshooting the problem. Overall, despite the minor hiccup, we really enjoyed the trailer and appreciated how well it was cared for. We’d happily rent from this host again.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Eustace, TX
How much does it cost to rent an RV in Eustace, TX?
RV rental in Eustace is one of the more affordable lakeside getaways in North Texas. On RVezy, travel trailers typically start around $90 to $150 per night, Class C motorhomes generally run $175 to $275 per night, and larger Class A motorhomes can range from $250 to $400 per night. Because Eustace sits on Cedar Creek Lake about an hour southeast of Dallas, you get lakefront access without DFW-metro pricing. To keep costs down on your Cedar Creek Lake RV trip, book Sunday through Thursday, travel in shoulder months like March or October, and filter for cheap RV rental Eustace options such as older travel trailers that still sleep the whole crew. Bundling host delivery to your campsite also lets you skip towing entirely.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Eustace%2C%20TexasWhat license do I need to rent an RV in Eustace, TX?
Good news: a regular Texas or out-of-state driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Eustace. Texas does not require a CDL or special endorsement for personal motorhomes or trailers under standard weight limits. You also need to be at least 25 years old to be an approved driver on RVezy, and ID verification happens securely through the platform when you reserve. Visiting from outside the US? Bring your home-country license along with an International Driving Permit. Most first-time renters in Eustace find approval is quick, often the same day.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039008774-Understanding-approved-driver-requirementsIs my Eustace RV rental protected if something goes wrong?
Yes. Every RV rental in Eustace booked through RVezy includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can head to Cedar Creek Lake with real peace of mind. You choose your protection level at checkout (not the host), which lets you pick the deductible and coverage that fit your trip. Plans help cover damage to the RV during your trip, including incidents from Texas thunderstorms or unexpected mishaps. Review the protection options side by side during booking, many Eustace renters pick a mid-tier plan for the lower deductible. Full details on what each plan covers are in the RVezy Help Center.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailWhat if I need to cancel my Eustace RV trip?
Booking is low risk. RVezy sets the cancellation policy (not individual hosts), and there is a grace period right after booking that lets you lock in your Eustace RV rental with confidence. After that window, refund amounts depend on how far out you are from your trip start date, and additional flexibility applies in cases like natural disasters, which is reassuring in East Texas where spring storms or the occasional ice event can affect travel. Because the same RVezy cancellation framework applies to every rental in Eustace, you do not need to compare host-by-host policies. Book early to secure lakefront-area RVs, you can always adjust within the grace window.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037736674-Understanding-the-cancellation-policy-for-guestsCan I bring my dog on an Eustace, TX RV rental?
Absolutely, pet-friendly RV rental Eustace options are plentiful, and Cedar Creek Lake is a dream for dogs. Just toggle the Pet-Friendly filter on RVezy and you'll see motorhomes and travel trailers whose hosts welcome four-legged travelers (some charge a small pet fee, usually $25 to $75 per trip). Nearby, Purtis Creek State Park (about 15 minutes from Eustace) allows leashed pets on trails and at the swim beach area outside designated swim zones, and most Cedar Creek Lake RV parks like Log Cabin RV Park are pet-friendly too. Pro tip: message the host before booking to confirm breed size, then pack a long lead for lakeside lounging.
tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/purtis-creekCan the RV be delivered to my campsite in Eustace?
Yes, RV delivery Eustace is one of the easiest ways to start your trip, especially if it's your first time renting an RV. Many hosts on RVezy will tow or drive the rig directly to your campsite at Purtis Creek State Park, Log Cabin RV Park on Cedar Creek Lake, or even a private property near Eustace, level it, hook up power and water, and walk you through every system before they leave. Just use the Delivery filter when you search. Delivery fees usually range from $2 to $5 per mile from the host's location. Pro tip: book delivery if you're flying into DFW or Love Field, skip the rental car and meet your motorhome lakeside.
tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/purtis-creekHow far can I drive on an Eustace RV rental?
You've got plenty of range from Eustace, TX. Hosts on RVezy set their own mileage policies, and you'll see options ranging from 100 free miles per night up to RV rental with unlimited mileage, perfect for a longer Texas loop. From Eustace, popular drives include Dallas (about 65 miles northwest, 1 hour 15 minutes), Tyler (45 miles east, 50 minutes), Athens and the East Texas Arboretum (15 miles south), Waco's Magnolia Market (about 120 miles, 2 hours), and Austin (around 200 miles, 3.5 hours). Pro tip: if you're planning an RV road trip from Eustace down to the Hill Country or Big Bend, filter for unlimited miles, it almost always pays off past 300 miles total.
txdot.gov/Where are the best campgrounds near Eustace, TX?
You're spoiled for choice with RV camping Eustace options ringing Cedar Creek Lake and nearby state parks. Top picks include Purtis Creek State Park (15 minutes south, full hookups, great fishing pier), Log Cabin RV Park on Cedar Creek Lake (shaded oaks, boat ramp access), Caney Cove Resort & RV Park (65 lakeside sites, dump station, laundry on the south end of the lake), Blue Sky at Cedar Creek in Seven Points (resort-style pool, clubhouse), and Sunset Resort on nearby Lake Tawakoni (about 45 minutes north). Pro tip: Purtis Creek books up fast on weekends because it's a no-wake lake with trophy bass, reserve 3 to 5 months ahead through Texas State Parks.
tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/purtis-creekWhen is the best time of year for an Eustace RV trip?
Eustace shines longer than most US destinations thanks to its mild East Texas climate. The sweet spot runs mid-March through late May (highs 70 to 85 F, wildflowers along the roadsides) and September through early November (highs 75 to 88 F, fewer mosquitoes, fall fishing on Cedar Creek Lake). Summer (June to August) gets hot, often 92 to 98 F, but lake swimming and AC-equipped RVs make it totally doable, and prices are reasonable. Winters are mild (highs in the 50s and 60s) and many lakeside parks stay open year-round. Pro tip: April is peak bass spawn on Cedar Creek, anglers should book early.
weather.gov/fwd/I've never driven an RV before. Will I be okay in Eustace?
You'll do great, Eustace is genuinely one of the friendlier places in Texas for a first time renting an RV. Roads around town and along TX-175 and US-175 are wide, flat, and low-traffic compared to the DFW metroplex. Every RVezy host gives you a hands-on walkthrough at pickup covering driving, leveling, propane, slide-outs, and dump procedures, and you can text or call them throughout your trip. If city driving makes you nervous, choose a host who offers delivery so you never have to maneuver through Dallas. Pro tip: start with a travel trailer pre-set at Purtis Creek or a campervan rental Eustace if you want the simplest first experience.
txdmv.gov/motoristsWhat happens if my RV breaks down during my Eustace trip?
You are never on your own. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the renter protection plan, so whether it is a flat on TX-175, a dead battery at Log Cabin RV Park, or a propane issue at 11 pm on Cedar Creek Lake, one call gets help dispatched. Your host is also typically a quick text away and knows their RV inside and out. RVezy support is available before, during, and after your trip by phone, chat, and Help Center. Snap photos of the propane regulator and breaker panel during your walkthrough, it makes troubleshooting calls much faster.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailCan I take my Eustace RV rental on a longer road trip across Texas or beyond?
Absolutely, Eustace is a fantastic launchpad for an RV road trip from Eustace across Texas. Many hosts allow interstate travel anywhere in the lower 48, just confirm in the listing or message them. Popular routes include the Texas Hill Country loop (Fredericksburg, Luckenbach, about 4 hours west), Big Bend National Park (around 9 hours southwest), New Orleans (7 hours east via I-20), and the Gulf Coast at Galveston (4 hours south). One important note: travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance doesn't extend across the border. Pro tip: for trips over a week, filter for motorhome rental Eustace with unlimited mileage and a generator.
travelTexas.com/What's the fuel budget like for an RV in Eustace, TX?
Texas has some of the cheapest gas in the country, which makes RV camping Eustace very budget-friendly. Recent regular gas prices in Henderson County typically run $2.70 to $3.20 per gallon, and diesel a bit higher. Expect roughly 8 to 10 miles per gallon (MPG) on a Class C motorhome, 6 to 8 MPG on a Class A, and 12 to 18 MPG towing a travel trailer with a half-ton truck. A typical 3-night Cedar Creek Lake loop (under 200 miles total) usually runs $60 to $100 in fuel. Pro tip: fill up at the Buc-ee's in Terrell (30 minutes north) before heading out, cheap fuel, clean restrooms, and the famous Beaver Nuggets.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/How far ahead should I book campgrounds near Eustace?
For peak weekends (April to June and September to October), book Texas State Parks like Purtis Creek and Lake Tawakoni State Park 3 to 5 months ahead through the official Texas Parks & Wildlife reservation system at texasstateparks.reserveamerica.com. Private parks around Cedar Creek Lake (Log Cabin RV Park, Caney Cove, Blue Sky at Cedar Creek) usually have more flexibility, 2 to 6 weeks out is often fine outside major holidays. For July 4th and Labor Day weekends, book as soon as the 5-month state-park window opens. Pro tip: midweek arrivals (Sunday or Monday) often score lakefront sites that are booked solid by Friday.
tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/reservationsWhat are driving conditions like around Eustace, TX?
Driving in and around Eustace is refreshingly easy, mostly flat East Texas terrain, two-lane state highways like TX-175 and FM-316, and very little congestion. The main things to watch for: spring thunderstorms (March to May) can bring brief heavy rain and occasional hail, summer heat means checking tire pressure each morning, and deer are active at dawn and dusk along rural roads, so plan drives in daylight. If you need to pass through Dallas to reach Eustace, aim to avoid I-20 and I-635 between 7 to 9 am and 4 to 6:30 pm. Pro tip: the back route via US-175 from south Dallas is calmer than I-20 for a tall rig.
drivetexas.org/What amenities will I find at Eustace-area campgrounds?
Most campgrounds near Eustace are well-equipped for a smooth stay. Expect full hookups (30/50-amp electric, water, sewer) at private parks like Log Cabin RV Park, Caney Cove Resort, and Blue Sky at Cedar Creek, plus dump stations, hot showers, laundry, and Wi-Fi at the larger resorts. Purtis Creek State Park offers water and 30-amp electric with a central dump station and potable water fill-up. Many lakeside parks have boat ramps, fish-cleaning stations, and swim areas right on Cedar Creek Lake. Pro tip: bring a 50-to-30-amp dogbone adapter and a 25-foot drinking-water hose, older Texas park pedestals sometimes sit farther from your pad than expected.
tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/purtis-creek/fees-facilitiesWhat's actually inside the RVs available in Eustace?
Eustace RV rentals come well-equipped for Texas comfort. Most motorhomes and travel trailers on RVezy include a queen or king bed, roof air conditioning (essential for Texas summers), a full kitchen with fridge, stove, and microwave, an indoor bathroom with shower, and seatbelts for all designated passengers. Many include a TV, Bluetooth stereo, outdoor speakers, awnings, and outdoor griddles. Generators are common on Class A and Class C motorhomes, useful for boondocking near Cedar Creek Lake. Wi-Fi varies by host, with some including mobile hotspots. Filter listings by sleeps count and Instant Book, then message the host to confirm a generator if you are planning off-grid time.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Eustace%2C%20TexasWhat add-ons and pickup options are available for an Eustace RV rental?
Hosts in Eustace offer a strong mix of add-ons to tailor your trip: linen and bedding packages ($25 to $75), camp chairs and outdoor mats, kayak or paddleboard rentals for Cedar Creek Lake, portable grills, generators, bike racks, and pre-stocked kitchen kits. Pickup is typically at the host's location in or near Eustace, Mabank, or Gun Barrel City, and most hosts offer delivery to local campgrounds for a per-mile fee. Mileage policies range from around 100 free miles per night to unlimited, and you will see the exact terms on each listing. Ask about a generator add-on if you are staying at Purtis Creek's water-and-electric (no sewer) sites, it is a small fee for big convenience.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Eustace%2C%20TexasHow does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy in Eustace?
Payment is simple and secure: you pay through RVezy with a credit or debit card at the time of booking, no cash and no in-person exchange with the host. Your total includes the nightly rate, any add-ons or delivery fees, taxes, the protection plan you choose, and a refundable security deposit (typically $500 to $1,500 depending on the RV). The security deposit is held separately and released back to your card after the trip once the host confirms the RV was returned in good condition. To avoid issues, do a thorough walkthrough video at pickup and dropoff and return the rig with the fuel and propane levels noted at pickup, that one step prevents most deposit disputes.
