I had an excellent experience renting from Eduardo. They walked me through every detail of the vehicle so I knew exactly how everything worked. The communication was great and made it easy if I had any questions. The RV was in excellent condition, had a lot of areas for sleeping, was modern, and clean. If I rent an RV again I will definitely rent this same one.

I cannot say enough good things about my rental experience with Jose! From the very beginning, he was incredibly easy to work with and made the entire process completely stress-free.I had the RV delivered directly to the campground, and Jose took "ready to enjoy" to a whole new level. I watched him quickly set everything up, and he didn't just hook up the utilities—he completely curated the outdoor space right in front of me. He set out the outdoor rug, chairs, and table perfectly so it was ready to go. All I literally had to do was walk in with my bags and start relaxing. The RV itself was pristine and fully loaded—there was absolutely nothing missing or that I needed to bring myself. Plus, having three TVs was an amazing, luxury touch! While it was just me on this trip, this spacious and thoughtful setup would be absolutely perfect for families. If you want a seamless, premium, and hospitable RV rental, look no further than Jose. I will definitely be renting from him again!

Do I need a special license to rent an RV in Garden Ridge, TX?

For nearly every motorhome, campervan, or travel trailer on RVezy, your regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Garden Ridge. Texas only requires a non-commercial Class A or B license for personal RVs over 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR), and almost every rental on the platform falls well below that threshold. Approved drivers are generally 25 or older with a valid license, and RVezy verifies identification during the booking process. Visiting from another country? An International Driving Permit paired with your home license works. Most first-time renters are surprised how quick the verification step is.

I've never rented an RV before. Will I get help figuring it out?

You are in great hands. Every RVezy host provides a full walkthrough at pickup, covering the generator, slide-outs, hookups, water tanks, awning, and driving tips before you ever pull away. Many Garden Ridge area hosts also send video tutorials in advance, and you can message them anytime with questions. The RVs on the platform are well-maintained personal vehicles, not large fleet rigs, so they feel friendlier to learn. If you would rather not drive at all, request delivery and you can skip the highway entirely. For your first trip, choose a Class C motorhome or a campervan rental in Garden Ridge: they drive much like a large truck and are great for first time renting an RV.

What's the fuel budget for an RV road trip from Garden Ridge?

Texas often has some of the most affordable gas in the country, which makes budgeting easier. Expect a Class C motorhome to get about 8 to 12 miles per gallon (MPG), travel trailers to drop your tow vehicle to 10 to 14 MPG, and campervans to deliver roughly 16 to 20 MPG. Gas around Garden Ridge typically runs below the national average, with stations along Interstate 35 and Highway 46. For a weekend trip to Guadalupe River State Park and back (roughly 60 miles round trip), budget around $25 to $40 in fuel. Fill up in Garden Ridge or Schertz before heading west toward Hill Country, where rural prices can climb.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Garden Ridge?

For Texas State Parks like Guadalupe River, Government Canyon, and Blanco, you can book up to five months out through the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department reservation system. Private RV parks around Garden Ridge usually take reservations 6 to 12 months ahead, and spring break, Memorial Day, July 4th, and Wurstfest weekend in New Braunfels (late October to early November) fill the fastest. For shoulder-season midweek trips, you can often book a week out. Set a free cancellation alert on the state park system for popular sites and you will be notified the moment a reservation opens up. That is how locals snag riverfront spots.
tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/park-reservation-information

What are the local driving conditions like around Garden Ridge?

Driving an RV around Garden Ridge is manageable. The town sits on quiet FM 2252 with low speeds, and you are only minutes from Interstate 35 and Loop 1604, both wide and RV-friendly. Avoid downtown San Antonio's narrow River Walk streets and any low-clearance underpasses, which are not suitable for tall rigs. Hill Country roads west of town toward Boerne and Bandera have gentle grades, sharp curves, and stunning views, so drive them in daylight. Spring brings sudden thunderstorms, so watch for flash flood warnings on low water crossings. Use Loop 1604 instead of Interstate 410 to bypass central San Antonio when heading south or west.

What amenities do campgrounds near Garden Ridge offer?

Most RV parks near Garden Ridge are well equipped. Expect full hookups (30 and 50 amp electric, water, and sewer) at private parks like Hill Country RV Resort and Mustang Run. Texas State Parks like Guadalupe River and Blanco offer water and electric sites with shared dump stations on site. You will find potable water fill-up at every developed campground, plus laundry, pools, and Wi-Fi at most resort-style parks. Dump stations are typically free for registered guests and a small fee for drop-ins. Top off your fresh water tank before leaving the park, since the next reliable fill-up between Garden Ridge and Big Bend country can be 100+ miles away.

Larger Class A and Class C rigs typically sleep 4 to 8 with bunks and convertible sofas. Many hosts include kitchen kits, linens, and outdoor chairs at no extra cost. How does payment and the security deposit work on an RV rental in Garden Ridge?

Payment is simple and handled fully through RVezy, never directly with the host. You pay with a credit or debit card at booking, and the platform holds funds securely until your trip starts. A refundable security deposit is held separately from the booking payment shortly before pickup and is released after return, assuming no damage or excess mileage. There are no surprise cash payments at pickup. Do a thorough walkthrough video at pickup and dropoff and share it with your host: it is the single best way to avoid security deposit disputes and keep your Garden Ridge RV rental experience smooth from start to finish.
