We had an absolutely amazing experience renting Gloria’s RV. From start to finish, everything was smooth, well-communicated, and exactly as described. The RV itself was in great condition—clean, comfortable, and fully functional for everything we needed during our trip. It made the entire experience at SandFest that much better. What really stood out was Gloria as a host. She was responsive, helpful, and clearly takes pride in making sure her renters have a great experience. That level of care makes a huge difference. Even more importantly, my dog absolutely loved the trip. The setup worked perfectly, and it made traveling with him easy and enjoyable. I would 100% rent from Gloria again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and enjoyable RV experience.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Portland, TX

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Portland, TX?

An RV rental in Portland, TX is one of the more affordable ways to enjoy the Coastal Bend. On RVezy you can typically expect to pay roughly $90 to $175 per night for travel trailers, $150 to $275 for Class C motorhomes, and $250 to $400 for larger Class A coaches, plus host add-ons like generator use or extra mileage. To find a cheap RV rental in Portland, book midweek, travel during the shoulder months of February, March, or November, and use Instant Book to compare pricing quickly. Do I need a special license to rent an RV in Portland, TX?

Great news for first-time renters, a regular Class C Texas driver's license, or any equivalent state or international license, is all you need to rent an RV in Portland, TX. The Texas Department of Public Safety only requires a non-commercial Class A or B license for personal RVs with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) over 26,000 pounds, which is far heavier than virtually every RVezy rental in the area. You also must be 25 or older, and RVezy verifies your identity right in the app before pickup. Visiting from abroad, grab an International Driving Permit (IDP) from your home auto club before flying into Corpus Christi International Airport and you are road-ready.

You can book with real peace of mind. Every RV rental in Portland, TX booked through RVezy automatically includes a renter protection plan and 24/7 roadside assistance. What is the cancellation policy if my Portland, TX trip plans change?

Booking is low-risk. RVezy, not the individual host, sets the cancellation policy for every Portland, TX RV trip, and it includes a full money-back grace period right after you book. After that grace period, your refund eligibility depends on how far out from your start date you cancel. Because Portland sits in a hurricane-prone zone from June through November, it is worth reviewing the policy details when you book. You will see the full policy and your refund options inside your RVezy account, so you can lock in your dates with confidence.
