Howard was very professional and thorough in every way. My family, dogs included, really enjoyed our 1st RV road trip! We would love to do it again sometime. I couldn’t be happier with the Service and Value we experienced with Howard and the RVesy website. Thanks for a great experience!! My 2 boys enjoyed it the most!!!

We rented the trailer for a week vacation in Assateague State Park Campground, MD. Rich was very professional and communicated in a timely manner. The trailer was competitively priced. As promised, everything was delivered on time, set up, and ready to move into when we arrived. Would definitely rent this unit again.

Taylor was a great host and had an awesome RV. They provided a detailed overview of the RV when we picked it up and had us on the road on the family trip! The RV size and layout was perfect for our family of 5, with the bunkroom being a nice space for the kids own room. The kitchen had everything we needed and they had the small touches that made a huge difference (bag of charcoal). Thank you for a great trip!

No special RV license is needed, and international renters just need an International Driving Permit (IDP) alongside their regular license. Getting ready for your first RV trip has never been easier in Virginia!

How far can I travel with a Virginia Beach RV rental, and what are the best road trip options?

You’ve got incredible range for your Virginia Beach RV road trip. Most rentals include 100-250 miles/day, and you can add more if you want to explore. Top getaways: Outer Banks (90 miles), Shenandoah National Park (220 miles), Colonial Williamsburg (60 miles), Cape Charles (50 miles), and Washington, DC (210 miles). Always confirm with your host if you want unlimited mileage. Virginia’s highways make weekend escapes easy: your adventure starts as soon as you roll out of town!

Where can I camp or park my RV near Virginia Beach?

You’re in luck: Virginia Beach has top campgrounds for every style! Favorites include First Landing State Park (beachfront), Holiday Trav-L-Park (family activities), North Landing Beach RV Resort (amenities plus private beach), and KOA Virginia Beach (pool and shuttle to the boardwalk). Overnight street parking is not allowed in city limits, so always use official campgrounds. Book early for weekends; the best campgrounds near Virginia Beach fill fast in summer.

When is the best time to plan an RV trip to Virginia Beach?

The best time for an RV trip to Virginia Beach is late April to early June or September through October. Summer brings busy crowds and highs in the mid-80s, but fall brings gentle breezes, fewer crowds, and perfect 70-degree days. Winter is mild (40s–50s) but some campgrounds may close or limit hookups. For the full experience, aim for late spring or early fall: you'll get great weather and open campsites right by the ocean!

Is Virginia Beach a good spot for first-time RV renters?

Yes: Virginia Beach is a fantastic spot for first-time RV renters! Local hosts provide a walkthrough at pickup or delivery, so you'll know exactly how everything works before you hit the road. Roads are flat, and campgrounds offer easy pull-through sites. If you want even less hassle, choose RV delivery and have your host set everything up for you. Your Virginia Beach RV trip can be as easy as checking into a hotel: just with ocean views.

What if I have trouble during my RV trip? Is roadside assistance included?

Absolutely: 24/7 roadside assistance is included with every RV rental in Virginia. Whether you have a flat at First Landing or need a jump start at the KOA, help is just a call away. The protection package is there for your peace of mind, covering mechanical issues and common road mishaps. Focus on your adventure; we've got your back wherever you camp!

Can I take my Virginia Beach RV rental into other states?

You’re free to hit the open road! Most RV rentals from Virginia Beach allow interstate travel: think a Chesapeake Bay bridge trip to Maryland or a trek down to North Carolina’s Outer Banks. For cross-border travel into Canada, message your host: some allow it with prior approval and the right documentation, but travel to Mexico isn’t covered. Whether you dream of the Blue Ridge Mountains or DC’s museums, your next state is just a short drive away.

How do I budget for fuel on a Virginia Beach RV trip?

RV fuel planning is easy in Virginia Beach. Motorhomes often average 8-12 mpg, while travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle. Gas in Virginia Beach is usually below the national average: you’ll often find prices $0.20–$0.40 cheaper per gallon. Budgeting $35–$50 per driving day covers most trips. Pro tip: Use apps to check real-time prices before fueling up: it’s one more way a campervan rental in Virginia Beach keeps your costs low.

How far ahead should I book campgrounds in Virginia Beach?

For summer weekends, try to reserve your Virginia Beach RV camping spot 2–4 months ahead, especially at First Landing or KOA. Book on ReserveAmerica for state parks or directly on campground sites for private parks. If you’re coming in spring or fall, you’ll often find last-minute spots, but waterfront and festival dates fill early. Always check each campground’s cancellation policy for peace of mind if your trip dates might change.

What are Virginia Beach’s roads and traffic like for RV driving?

Driving an RV in Virginia Beach is generally smooth: local roads are wide, and the main highways (like I-264 and US-60) are RV-friendly. Avoid rush hour especially around the oceanfront and tunnels. Watch for occasional flooding after storms and give extra space near the boardwalk. For city-shy drivers, choose RV delivery and skip the urban traffic. You’re also just 30 minutes from the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel, a stunning drive for your trip.

What amenities can I expect at Virginia Beach campgrounds?

You’ll find every camping comfort in Virginia Beach: full hookups, cable TV, fast Wi-Fi, dump stations, and often pools or splash pads for the kids. State parks offer water and electrical hookups plus clean bathhouses. Need to dump tanks or refill water? Holiday Trav-L-Park and North Landing Beach Resort have easy-access dump stations and potable water. Local RV parks make it easy to settle in for a hassle-free stay.

What’s included in my Virginia Beach RV rental? Are there special features or add-ons?

Most Virginia Beach RV rentals include beds, kitchenettes, bathrooms, heaters, AC, and often TVs or Wi-Fi hotspots. Many have generators, outdoor grills, and full bathrooms for comfort. Need extra gear? Hosts offer add-ons like bikes, beach chairs, or kayaks for a small fee. Choose 'motorhome rental Virginia Beach' for bigger features, or 'campervan rental Virginia Beach' for easy driving and better mileage. Personalize your adventure: just check each listing for what’s included.

What should I know about security deposits and payment for Virginia Beach RV rentals?

Booking is safe and easy: all payments, including the refundable security deposit, are securely handled by RVezy. Your deposit is held (not charged) and released promptly after the trip if the RV is returned in good condition. To avoid any delays, do a thorough walkthrough on pickup and return with your host and follow house rules. This way, your Virginia Beach RV adventure starts with peace of mind and ends with happy memories: and your deposit back.

Are there RV rental options in Virginia Beach for families?
