Campgrounds and RV parks near Newark Valley, NY

Newark Valley sits in New York's Southern Tier, roughly 20 miles north of Binghamton and within a short drive of the Finger Lakes foothills. The area works well as an RV base for families: campgrounds range from full-hookup private resorts to a large developed state park, and the terrain is a mix of rolling farmland, wooded ridges, and river valleys along the Susquehanna and Chenango watersheds. Within an hour's drive, RV renters have several established options. Binghamton Bear Campground and Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort focus on family amenities and RV sites, while Lighthouse Landing Campground sits closer to the water. Greek Peak Mountain Resort Campground pairs camping with the resort's summer activities near Cortland. Chenango Valley State Park is a 1,137-acre state park located in Broome County, New York, adjacent to the Chenango River in the western part of the Town of Fenton, and it includes an 18-hole golf course. It anchors the public-land camping in the region and is the closest New York State Parks campground to Newark Valley.

New York State Parks use a central reservation system. Reservations can be made online or through the ReserveAmerica Call Center at 1-800-456-2267, and walk-ins are permitted on campsites only. A camping party and their equipment may occupy a site for a maximum of 14 continuous nights.
