Campgrounds and RV parks near Bernville, PA

Bernville sits in western Berks County, roughly 15 miles northwest of Reading, and functions as a base for Blue Marsh Lake and the surrounding Pennsylvania Dutch countryside. The area combines rolling farmland, Tulpehocken Creek paddling, and a cluster of privately operated RV parks within a short drive of the borough. RV renters typically choose between full-hookup resorts and quieter rural parks. Appalachian RV Campground and Pennsylvania Dutch Campsite sit closest to town, while Mountain Springs Camping Rsrt and Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Eagles Peak lean toward family resorts with pools and organized activities. Cocalico Creek Campground offers a more low-key option to the south, closer to Lancaster County attractions. Blue Marsh Lake, managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Philadelphia District, anchors outdoor recreation for the region, with 1,147 acres of water and 36 miles of multi-use trails around the reservoir. Reading, Hershey, and Lancaster are all within about an hour's drive, which makes Bernville a practical center point for a mixed itinerary of lake days, amusement parks, and Amish country touring.

Most campgrounds in the Bernville area are privately operated and take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone, often through third-party booking platforms linked from the operator page. Pennsylvania Dutch Campsite, Mountain Springs Camping Rsrt, Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Eagles Peak, Appalachian RV Campground, and Cocalico Creek Campground all handle bookings on this pattern. For summer weekends and any date tied to Koziar's Christmas Village, book at least eight to twelve weeks out; major holiday weekends often go earlier. Blue Marsh Lake itself is a day-use Corps of Engineers project rather than a campground, so lake access is separate from an RV site reservation. RV renters should confirm site length, hookup amperage, and slide-out clearance at booking, since some older sections have tighter back-in sites.
