Campgrounds and RV parks near Mountville, PA

Mountville sits in western Lancaster County, a short drive from Lancaster city and the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country. The area is a dense cluster of private RV parks and family campgrounds, with the Susquehanna River corridor to the west adding river-oriented sites and public land access. Most campgrounds within thirty minutes of Mountville cater to RV travelers with full hookups, pull-through sites, and pools. Close-in options include Circle M RV and Camping Resort, PA Dutch Country RV Resort, and Pinch Pond Family Campground, all built around Amish Country touring and family amenities. Pequea Creek Campground and Otter Creek Campground sit closer to the Susquehanna, which borders Otter Creek along with miles of hiking trails, and both lean more toward fishing, paddling, and hiking. Because Mountville is a base for Hersheypark, Dutch Wonderland, Lancaster city, and Gettysburg day trips, campgrounds here book heavily on summer weekends and during fall foliage. RV renters typically choose between a full-amenity resort near the attractions and a quieter, wooded park along the river.

Most campgrounds in the Mountville area are privately owned and take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone. Circle M RV and Camping Resort, PA Dutch Country RV Resort, Pinch Pond Family Campground, and Pequea Creek Campground all handle bookings this way. For Otter Creek Campground, reservation requests and inquiries for the upcoming season are accepted starting January 1, and are made directly with the campground office. Summer weekends, holiday weekends, and fall foliage weekends fill first. For July, August, and any dates overlapping Hersheypark or Dutch Wonderland school breaks, booking two to three months ahead is realistic; premium pull-throughs and full-hookup sites at the larger resorts can go earlier. Most parks require a deposit at booking and enforce minimum stays on holiday weekends. Confirm rig length, slide clearance, and 30 vs. 50 amp service before locking in a site.
