Campgrounds and RV parks near New Columbia, PA

New Columbia sits in Union County along the West Branch Susquehanna River, roughly midway between Lewisburg and Williamsport. The village lies at the intersection of Interstate 80 and U.S. Route 15, which makes it a practical staging point for RV trips into north-central Pennsylvania's ridges, state forests, and river valleys. The area draws campers headed for Bald Eagle State Forest, Tiadaghton State Forest, R.B. Winter State Park, and the Loyalsock Creek corridor. Little League Baseball's headquarters and the Little League World Series in South Williamsport bring seasonal traffic north of town each August. Campground options within a short drive include Williamsport South/Nittany Mountain KOA Holiday, Steel Steeds Motorcycle Campground, Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort: Milton, Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort, and Riverside Campground. Together they cover full-hookup family resorts, riverside sites, and smaller rustic properties, giving renters a range of choices without a long drive from I-80.

Pennsylvania state park and state forest sites are reserved through the state's official reservation system at pennsylvaniastateparks.reserveamerica.com. Sites can be booked up to eleven months ahead, with new inventory released at noon Eastern, and summer weekends at popular parks such as R.B. Winter often sell out early. A two-night minimum typically applies on weekends. Private campgrounds in the area, including the KOA and Jellystone properties, take reservations directly through their brand websites or by phone. Holiday weekends and the Little League World Series window book earliest, often several months out. RV renters should confirm site length, hookup type (30 vs. 50 amp), and slide-out clearance before booking. Cancellation policies vary by operator, so review terms at the time of reservation and note any check-in cutoff times, since some rural parks close the office in the early evening.
