Campgrounds and RV parks near Nottingham, PA

Nottingham sits in southern Chester County along the Pennsylvania and Maryland state line, about equal distance from Lancaster's Amish country and the head of the Chesapeake Bay. The area is rural and rolling, with serpentine barrens at Nottingham County Park and working farms filling most of the surrounding roads. RV travelers use the town as a quiet base within easy driving range of Lancaster attractions, Wilmington, and the northern Chesapeake. Campground options range from small family-run parks to full-amenity resorts and public land. Oma's Family Campground sits just up the road in Kirkwood and stays open year round, with 30-amp and select 50-amp electric, water and sewer hookups, and a heated bathhouse. Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort: Quarryville, PA is the closest large family resort, and Camp Ramblewood adds an activity-heavy option across the Maryland line. For public land, Fair Hill Natural Resources Management Area protects roughly 5,656 acres of former du Pont estate a short drive south, and Susquehanna State Park offers a wooded state-run campground on the lower Susquehanna River.

Public and private sites use different systems. Susquehanna State Park takes reservations through Maryland's park reservation portal or by phone at 1-888-432-2267, and weekend reservations are strongly recommended. Fair Hill Natural Resources Management Area handles equestrian and youth-group camping through the park office and an online reservation form, not through a standard state-park booking site. Private parks book directly. Oma's Family Campground, Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort: Quarryville, PA, and Camp Ramblewood each take reservations through their own websites or by phone. Summer weekends, holiday weeks, and the Maryland 5 Star weekend fill early. Reserving eight to twelve weeks out is typical for peak dates, and the six mini-cabins at Susquehanna State Park have limited inventory and go first.
