Camping near Quarryville, Pennsylvania
Quarryville is a small borough in southern Lancaster County, positioned between the Amish farmland of Pennsylvania Dutch Country and the wooded bluffs above the Lower Susquehanna River. For RV travelers, it works as a quiet base that keeps buggy-lined back roads, family attractions, and river overlooks all within a short drive.
Private campgrounds dominate the immediate area. White Oak Campground sits in a wooded setting close to town, while Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park™ Camp-Resort: Quarryville, PA occupies 63 wooded acres adjoining a 100-acre county park and leans heavily into family programming. A short drive north into the heart of Amish Country puts renters at Mill Bridge Village and Camp Resort along Pequea Creek, Country Acres Campground in Gordonville, and Oma's Family Campground in nearby Kirkwood.
Public land is close but limited for overnight RV use. Susquehannock State Park, roughly a dozen miles west in Drumore Township, is a 224-acre plateau park focused on day-use overlooks and organized group tent camping rather than a drive-in RV campground, so most RV renters plan to stay at one of the private parks and day-trip to the river.
Things to do around Quarryville
The main draw is Pennsylvania Dutch Country. Renters typically build days around Amish farm tours, covered bridges, farmers' markets, and shopping in Lancaster, Bird-in-Hand, and Intercourse. Mill Bridge Village and Camp Resort is home to the 1738 Herr's Grist Mill and the 1844 Herr's Mill Covered Bridge, the longest covered bridge in Lancaster County.
For kids, Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park™ Camp-Resort: Quarryville, PA runs a water zone with kiddie slides and spray features, jumping pillows, mini-golf, a gem-mining sluice, and themed weekends including Halloween events. Hersheypark is roughly an hour north for a longer day trip.
Outdoor time centers on the Susquehanna River corridor. Susquehannock State Park has short hiking trails, Pinnacle and Urey overlooks for river and bald-eagle viewing, and picnic areas above the Conowingo Reservoir.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park™ Camp-Resort: Quarryville, PA typically opens in early April and closes in early November, with a peak season running roughly from early June through late August and non-peak shoulder weeks on either side. Mill Bridge Village and Camp Resort operates on a warm-season schedule, with pool and activity amenities tied to summer.
Summer brings warm, humid weather, full activity schedules, and the busiest weekends. Sites at family-oriented parks fill months out for the Fourth of July, and Halloween-themed weekends in late September and October are among the most popular of the year in Lancaster County.
Spring and fall are the strongest windows for touring Amish Country by RV. Temperatures are milder, foliage typically peaks in mid-to-late October, and reservations are easier to secure. Winter is quiet, most private parks close their pools and water features, and Susquehannock State Park remains open for day use with river views often clearer through bare trees.

How to book campgrounds near Quarryville
Private parks handle their own reservations. Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park™ Camp-Resort: Quarryville, PA takes bookings up to 360 days out and recommends reserving at least six months ahead because sites fill quickly, particularly for summer weekends and Halloween events. White Oak Campground, Mill Bridge Village and Camp Resort, Country Acres Campground, and Oma's Family Campground each book directly through their own websites or phone lines.
For the nearest state land, Susquehannock State Park uses the Pennsylvania State Parks and Forests Reservations system. Bookings can be made up to 11 months in advance and must be made at least 3 days ahead of arrival, though its overnight facilities are limited to four organized group tenting sites rather than typical RV drive-in stays.
Renters traveling with pets should confirm pet policies and any fees at the time of booking, since rules vary by park and by site or cabin type.
What to expect on the ground
Campgrounds around Quarryville sit among working farms, so surroundings can shift with the season. Reviewers note that manure spreading on adjacent fields can affect air quality on some days, especially in spring and late fall, and site selection away from field edges helps.
Sites at the larger family parks are typically level with full or partial hookups and 30/50-amp service. Mill Bridge Village and Camp Resort advertises level sites with 50-amp electric that can accommodate rigs up to 55 feet along Pequea Creek, though several reviews describe sites as tightly spaced and roads as narrow. Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park™ Camp-Resort: Quarryville, PA offers concrete pads on its premium RV sites with 50/30/20-amp electric, sewer, and water.
Cell coverage is generally strong across major carriers, most parks offer Wi-Fi, and grocery, fuel, and propane are easy to find in Quarryville and along US-222 toward Lancaster.

An RV rental in Quarryville is one of the most affordable ways to experience Lancaster County's Amish Country. On RVezy, travel trailers typically start around $90 to $150 per night, campervans and Class B rentals run $150 to $250, and larger Class C motorhomes range from $200 to $350 per night. You'll find the best deals on weekday stays and during the shoulder months of April, May, September, and October when Jellystone Park and other local campgrounds are quieter. rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Quarryville%2C%20PennsylvaniaDo I need a special license to rent an RV in Quarryville?
Good news: for nearly every RV rental in Quarryville, your standard Class C Pennsylvania driver's license (or equivalent from your home state or country) is all you need. PennDOT only requires a non-commercial Class B license for single vehicles over 26,000 pounds, and the vast majority of Class C motorhomes, campervans, travel trailers, and fifth wheels listed on RVezy fall well below that threshold. RVezy approved drivers are generally required to be 25 or older, and your ID is verified right inside the platform. Visiting from abroad? Pick up an International Driving Permit before you fly in, and you're all set for your Lancaster County RV trip.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039008774-Understanding-approved-driver-requirementsIs my RV rental protected if something goes wrong?
Yes, and this is one of the best reasons to book through RVezy. Every RV rental in Quarryville comes with a renter protection plan and 24/7 roadside assistance included with your booking. The protection plan helps cover damage to the RV during your trip, giving you real financial peace of mind. During checkout you choose your coverage level (hosts don't set this, you do), so you can match the protection to your trip. Whether you're heading to Susquehannock State Park or doing a weekend at Jellystone Quarryville, you can relax knowing help is just one call away.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailWhat happens if I need to cancel my Quarryville RV rental?
Booking is low-risk. RVezy sets the cancellation policy (not individual hosts), and there's a money-back grace period right after you book so you can lock in your dates with confidence. If a hurricane remnant rolls up the Susquehanna Valley or a family emergency pops up, RVezy's support team is there to help you sort it out. Because cancellation terms depend on how close to your trip you are, the easiest move is to book your Lancaster County RV adventure now and review the current policy details on the RVezy Help Center before you confirm.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037736674-Understanding-the-cancellation-policy-for-guestsCan I bring my dog on a Quarryville RV trip?
Absolutely, Lancaster County is wonderfully dog-friendly. Plenty of pet-friendly RV rentals in Quarryville are available on RVezy, just toggle the Pet-Friendly filter to see hosts who welcome your pup. Jellystone Park Quarryville allows pets per site (leashed at all times, with a small pet fee), and many Pennsylvania state park campgrounds like Gifford Pinchot have designated pet-friendly loops. Bring proof of rabies vaccination, a 6-foot leash, and waste bags. Pro tip: the Enola Low Grade Trail just outside Quarryville is a flat, shaded rail-trail that's perfect for a morning dog walk before heading out to explore Amish Country.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Quarryville%2C%20PennsylvaniaCan the RV be delivered to my campground in Quarryville?
Yes, RV delivery in Quarryville is one of the most popular options on RVezy, especially for first-timers. Many local hosts will drop the RV right at your site at Jellystone Park Quarryville, Pinch Pond Family Campground, Sun Retreats Lancaster County, or Susquehannock State Park, level it, hook up water and electric, and walk you through every system before they leave. That means no white-knuckle driving down Route 222 or backing into a tight site. Filter listings by Delivery on RVezy, message the host with your campground name and arrival date, and your motorhome rental in Quarryville essentially becomes a fully set-up cabin on wheels.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Quarryville%2C%20PennsylvaniaHow far can I drive on a Quarryville RV trip?
You've got incredible range from Quarryville. Each host sets their own mileage policy on RVezy, with options from daily mileage caps (typically 100 to 150 miles per day) to RV rentals with unlimited mileage for longer adventures. From Quarryville you can reach Hersheypark in about 1 hour (45 miles), Gettysburg National Military Park in about 1 hour 15 minutes (60 miles), Philadelphia in roughly 90 minutes (75 miles), the Pocono Mountains in about 2.5 hours (130 miles), and Washington, DC in about 2.5 hours (135 miles). Pinch Pond Family Campground near Manheim is about a 30-minute drive with full hookups and an arcade. For state-park lovers, Susquehannock State Park is just minutes south with sweeping river overlooks (note: Susquehannock has day-use facilities but no developed campground, so plan to camp at one of the private parks). Pro tip: book Jellystone at least 6 months out for Halloween weekends.
jellystonequarryville.com/When is the best time of year for an RV trip from Quarryville?

Local insider tip: October weekends at Jellystone Park Quarryville are known for elaborate Halloween decorations, book by July for the best sites.
weather.gov/ctp/I've never rented an RV before. Will I actually know how to use it?
You'll be in great hands. Every RVezy host gives you a hands-on orientation at pickup (or at delivery, if they're bringing the RV to your Quarryville campsite), walking you through the generator, propane, slide-outs, water tanks, awning, and electrical hookups before you ever turn a key. Most first-time renters in Lancaster County say the walkthrough is shorter than they expected. Plus, you can message the host anytime during your trip with quick questions, and 24/7 roadside assistance is built into your booking. Pro tip: choose a Class C motorhome or travel trailer for your first time renting an RV, they handle a lot like a large van or pickup.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailWhat if I get a flat tire or break down outside Quarryville?
You're covered. Every RV rental on RVezy includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the renter protection plan, so if you blow a tire on Route 222, run into battery trouble at Susquehannock State Park, or need a tow on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, one phone call gets help dispatched. Your host is also your direct lifeline, and most Quarryville-area hosts respond within minutes via RVezy's messaging. Keep the roadside number saved in your phone and the host's contact pinned. Cell coverage is solid throughout Lancaster County, so you'll rarely be out of reach even on the back roads winding through Amish farmland.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailCan I take my Quarryville RV rental on a longer road trip across state lines?
Yes, and Quarryville is a fantastic launch pad for multi-state RV road trips. From here you're within easy reach of Maryland (the Chesapeake Bay is under 90 minutes), Delaware beaches (about 2.5 hours to Rehoboth), New Jersey, Virginia's Shenandoah Valley, and upstate New York's Finger Lakes. Cross-border travel between US states is covered by your RVezy renter protection plan. Travel into Canada may be allowed depending on the host and coverage, just confirm with them via message before booking. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals. Local tip: a classic loop from Quarryville is Lancaster to Gettysburg to Shenandoah to Harpers Ferry, easily done in 5 to 7 days.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039340074-Insurance-coverage-validityWhat should I budget for fuel on an RV trip from Quarryville?
Fuel is usually the biggest variable cost, but it's manageable. Pennsylvania gas prices typically run about $3.30 to $3.80 per gallon, and diesel sits slightly higher. Most Class C motorhomes get 8 to 12 MPG, travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle (usually 10 to 14 MPG combined), and campervans can pull 18 to 22 MPG. For a typical 3-day RV camping trip in Lancaster County covering about 200 miles, budget roughly $60 to $100 for fuel. Pro tip: fuel up at Sheetz or Wawa in Quarryville or nearby Willow Street before heading out, prices are usually 10 to 20 cents cheaper than at highway exits along the Pennsylvania Turnpike or Route 30.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/How far in advance should I book a campground near Quarryville?
For the busy season, book early. Pennsylvania state parks open reservations up to 11 months out through the official DCNR reservation system, and popular spots like French Creek fill quickly for summer weekends. Jellystone Park Quarryville accepts reservations far in advance and routinely sells out months ahead for Halloween weekends and July 4th. Private parks like Pequea Creek and Sun Retreats Lancaster County typically need 2 to 3 months of lead time for summer Saturdays. Local insider tip: midweek stays in May, June, and September usually have great availability even just 1 to 2 weeks out, perfect for spontaneous trips.
pennsylvaniastateparks.reserveamerica.com/What are the roads like for driving an RV around Quarryville?
Driving conditions around Quarryville are very RV-friendly. The town sits along Route 222 and Route 372, both well-maintained, and you'll be on rolling rural roads with mostly gentle grades, not mountain switchbacks. Watch for slow-moving Amish horse-and-buggies on backroads, especially on Sundays, give them a wide berth and pass only when safe. Avoid narrow covered bridges (your RV likely won't fit) and plan turnpike travel outside rush hour. Winter brings occasional snow and ice from December to February, so most RVezy hosts in Quarryville focus rentals from April through November. GPS tip: use an RV-specific app like RV Life to avoid low-clearance routes.
penndot.pa.gov/TravelInPA/Pages/default.aspxWhere can I dump tanks and fill fresh water near Quarryville?
You've got plenty of options. Jellystone Park Quarryville, Pequea Creek Campground, Sun Retreats Lancaster County, and Pinch Pond all have on-site dump stations and potable water fills available to registered guests, often included with full-hookup sites. Many Pennsylvania state parks offer dump stations seasonally for a small fee even if you're not staying overnight. Most local campgrounds also sell propane refills and firewood. Pro tip: dump your gray and black tanks the morning of checkout when lines are shortest, and always rinse with the dedicated non-potable hose, never the drinking water spigot.
jellystonequarryville.com/What's actually inside the RVs available to rent in Quarryville?
You'll be surprised how loaded these rigs are. Most Quarryville RV rentals on RVezy come stocked with a full kitchen (stove, oven, microwave, fridge), private bathroom with shower and toilet, sleeping for 4 to 8 people, climate control with both furnace and air conditioning, fresh and waste water tanks, and seatbelted travel seats. Many include a TV, Bluetooth stereo, outdoor awning, and onboard generator for off-grid stays. Wi-Fi is increasingly common, and some hosts add mobile hotspots as an add-on. Listings show exactly what's included with each campervan rental in Quarryville, so check the amenities section and message the host for anything specific like a coffee maker or grill.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Quarryville%2C%20PennsylvaniaWhat add-ons can I get with my Quarryville RV rental?
Hosts on RVezy offer some genuinely useful add-ons that make your Lancaster County RV trip easier. Common extras include camp chairs and tables, outdoor grills, generators, bedding and linen packages, kitchen kits with cookware, bike racks, tow packages, and even pre-stocked pantry items. Delivery and setup at Jellystone Quarryville or a nearby state park is a popular add-on, typically priced by distance from the host. Mileage and generator-hour packages can be bundled to save money on longer trips. Pickup and dropoff times are flexible and set by each host. Pro tip: bundle delivery, setup, and a generator if you're planning a state-park stay without electric hookups.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Quarryville%2C%20PennsylvaniaHow does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?
Payment is simple and fully handled through the RVezy platform, no cash, checks, or side deals with the host. You pay securely with a credit or debit card when you book, and your protection plan, taxes, and any add-ons are all itemized upfront. A refundable security deposit is held separately from your booking payment (amount varies by RV), and as long as you return the RV in the same condition with tanks dumped per the host's instructions, it's released back to your card after your trip. Pro tip: take dated photos at pickup and dropoff to make any deposit conversation effortless.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-worksWhat are the must-do day trips from Quarryville by RV?
Quarryville is a hidden gem for day-trip RV adventures. Within an hour you can reach Hersheypark and ZooAmerica (45 miles), Strasburg Rail Road for a steam-train ride through Amish countryside (just 20 minutes), Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square (40 minutes), Gettysburg National Military Park (60 miles), and Lancaster Central Market, one of the oldest continuously operating farmers markets in the country (20 minutes). Closer to home, don't miss the Martic Forge Trestle, a historic railroad bridge along the Enola Low Grade Trail, and Susquehannock State Park's Hawk Point overlook for sunset views over the Susquehanna River. Pro tip: park your RV at Jellystone or another local campground and use a tow car or rideshare for in-town stops.
