Campgrounds and RV parks near Skyline View, PA

Skyline View is an unincorporated community in West Hanover Township, Dauphin County, roughly 12 miles east of Harrisburg and about 8 miles north of Hershey. It sits along Interstate 81 with quick access to U.S. Route 22 and Pennsylvania Route 39, which makes it a practical base for RV travelers exploring the Hershey-Harrisburg corridor. The area mixes private RV resorts geared to theme-park families with public campgrounds inside Pennsylvania state parks. Closest to Skyline View, Hersheypark Camping Resort operates year-round with more than 300 sites, cabins, tiny homes, and full and partial hook-up options. Harrisburg East Campground and Hershey Road Campground sit within easy driving distance for RVers who want hook-ups closer to the capital. Quieter options include Camp Hebron, a nonprofit retreat-style property in the surrounding countryside, and Elizabethtown / Hershey KOA Holiday to the south. State parks such as Gifford Pinchot and Little Buffalo add campground camping with lakes, trails, and swimming beaches within about an hour's drive.

Private campgrounds in the area each use their own reservation systems. Hersheypark Camping Resort books directly through its resort website, and holiday and Hersheypark-event weekends fill first. Harrisburg East Campground, Hershey Road Campground, Camp Hebron, and Elizabethtown / Hershey KOA Holiday all take direct reservations through their own websites or by phone. Pennsylvania state park campgrounds are booked through the state's official reservation portal at pennsylvaniastateparks.reserveamerica.com or by calling 888-PA-PARKS. Most sites can be reserved up to 11 months in advance, released at noon Eastern Time, and reservations must be made at least three days ahead of arrival. For summer weekends and Hersheypark event dates, book as early as possible. Pennsylvania also restricts moving firewood, so plan to buy firewood at or near the campground on arrival.
