Campgrounds and RV parks near Stonybrook, PA

Stonybrook is a small census-designated place in York County, Pennsylvania, sitting mostly within Springettsbury Township just east of the city of York. The area is suburban and rural, with quick access to US Route 30, Interstate 83, and the Pennsylvania Turnpike, which makes it a practical base for RV travelers exploring south-central Pennsylvania. RV travelers typically stay at one of several private campgrounds within a short drive. Indian Rock Campgrounds sits just outside York along the York Heritage Rail Trail and specializes in smaller RV units, while the Elizabethtown / Hershey KOA Holiday spreads across 50 acres with 20 acres of woods. Bainbridge Rock Quarry Campground, Ben Franklin RV Park, and Hershey Road Campground round out the closest options. Stonybrook itself is compact and residential, so the trip-planning value here is location: Hershey, Lancaster's Amish Country, Gettysburg, and Harrisburg are all inside an hour, and Gifford Pinchot State Park in northern York County adds a public-land camping option with a 340-acre lake.

For public land, Pennsylvania state parks use the ReserveAmerica system. Sites at Gifford Pinchot State Park can be booked up to 11 months in advance and must be reserved at least 3 days ahead of arrival. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, the maximum stay is 14 consecutive nights. Private parks in the area take reservations directly. The Elizabethtown / Hershey KOA Holiday books online or by phone; RV and tent cancellations must be made at least 7 days before arrival, and cabin cancellations at least 14 days before, or the deposit is forfeited, minus an administrative fee. Reservations during special-event periods require payment in full at booking. For peak dates around Hersheypark weekends, holidays, and York-area events, booking two to three months out is realistic. Smaller parks such as Indian Rock Campgrounds handle reservations by phone.
