Campgrounds and RV parks near Terre Hill, PA

Terre Hill sits in northeastern Lancaster County, at the edge of Pennsylvania Dutch Country and within easy reach of Ephrata, New Holland, Denver, and Reading. The surrounding landscape is rolling farmland cut by small creeks like the Muddy Creek, with elevations generally between 400 and 600 feet. Most camping in the area is at privately owned family campgrounds rather than state or federal land, and sites tend to be a short drive from Amish farms, farmers markets, and small-town main streets. RV travelers typically base themselves at Red Run Campground near New Holland, Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Oak Creek and Adventure Bound Oak Creek near Bowmansville, Sun Valley RV Campground off Route 625 in Bowmansville, or Woodcrest Retreat outside Ephrata. All are within roughly ten to twenty minutes of Terre Hill and give quick access to US 322, PA 272, and the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-76). Expect full-hookup and partial-hookup sites, pools, playgrounds, fishing ponds, and cabin rentals rather than backcountry or dispersed camping. The mix suits families running an RV trip through Lancaster County more than travelers looking for wilderness.

Because the campgrounds around Terre Hill are privately run, each one takes its own reservations rather than going through a central portal like Recreation.gov or Pennsylvania State Parks. Red Run Campground, Sun Valley RV Campground, Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Oak Creek, and Woodcrest Retreat all accept bookings directly through their websites or by phone. Policies vary. Red Run Campground offers a full refund for cancellations made 14 or more days before arrival, a full refund minus the first night for 5 to 13 days out, and no refund or raincheck inside 5 days. Sun Valley RV Campground is a seasonal park with both overnight and extended-stay sites, so confirm minimum-night rules and any peak-weekend deposits at booking. For summer weekends, holidays, and fall foliage, book several weeks to a few months out. Confirm rig length, hookup amperage, and pet rules at the time of reservation, since site sizes and 50-amp availability differ between parks.
