Campgrounds and RV parks near Turbotville, PA

Turbotville sits in Northumberland County in Pennsylvania's Susquehanna Valley, roughly midway between Williamsport and Bloomsburg along the West Branch of the Susquehanna River. The area works well as an RV base for exploring central Pennsylvania's state parks, covered-bridge routes, and river towns without long daily drives. Private campgrounds close to town include Riverside Campground, Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort, Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort: Milton, Steel Steeds Motorcycle Campground, and Splash Magic RV Resort. Options range from family resort-style parks with pools and planned activities to quieter riverside sites and a niche campground oriented to motorcycle travelers. Worlds End State Park, Eagles Mere, Ricketts Glen State Park, and the fishing and paddling waters of Loyalsock Creek are all within reasonable driving distance, and Knoebels Amusement Resort in nearby Elysburg is a short trip south. Most RV travelers use Turbotville-area parks as a hub for day trips rather than a single-destination stay.

Private campgrounds around Turbotville, including Riverside Campground, both Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort locations, Steel Steeds Motorcycle Campground, and Splash Magic RV Resort, are booked directly through each campground's own website or by phone. Holiday weekends and Jellystone theme weekends sell out first, often several months in advance. For state park campsites in the surrounding region, most sites in Pennsylvania state parks can be reserved up to 11 months in advance, opening at noon Eastern Time, through the Pennsylvania State Parks reservation system. That noon release is unusual among state park systems and can matter for popular summer weekends at Ricketts Glen and Worlds End. During the summer season from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, a one-night minimum applies Sunday through Friday, and a two-night minimum applies when a Saturday is included.
