This was our first time renting an RV. Eloy was thorough with his instructions on how to care for the RV upon pickup. This was much appreciated and helpful. He was extremely responsive throughout the process. The RV was immaculate inside and newly washed on the outside. The RV ran well and the trip was smooth. We could not have asked for a better experience! We look forward to using Adventure 48 again!

Prepare for an adventure that will forever be etched in your family's memory, because Jason doesn't just provide a rental – he orchestrates a breathtaking, once-in-a-lifetime experience! We were absolutely floored by the trailer; it wasn't just 'beautiful,' it was a stunning, impeccably maintained sanctuary that immediately felt like home, but with an exhilarating sense of wanderlust. It genuinely went above and beyond anything we could have dreamed of. What truly set this experience apart was Jason himself. His dedication to ensuring our trip was perfect was evident in every interaction. He maintained flawless, proactive communication, always just a text or call away, offering guidance and reassurance. We had a blast at Lynx Lake campground ⛺️this trailer offers a bed with 2 bunk beds and then the table converts to a bed BUT just an FYI for future campers, the linens provided are only for the beds so we had to go buy bedding for my daughter(this is my first time using RVezy so I had no idea and this is probably normal but figured I’d post it for future renters like me who don’t know these things🤪). Host is amazing and super friendly and responsive.

What license do I need to rent an RV in Cordes Lakes?

A regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Cordes Lakes, AZ. No commercial driver's license (CDL) or special RV endorsement is required in Arizona for the motorhomes and travel trailers listed on RVezy. What is RVezy's cancellation policy if my Cordes Lakes plans change?

Booking an RV rental in Cordes Lakes is genuinely low-risk. RVezy sets the cancellation policy centrally (not individual hosts), and every booking includes a money-back grace period right after you book so you can lock in a rig with confidence. The main thing to watch: the southbound descent from Sunset Point toward Black Canyon City, downshift, take it slow, and use engine braking. Crosswinds can kick up on the open stretch near Cordes Junction in spring afternoons. Summer monsoon storms (July to mid-September) bring brief but intense rain and occasional dust storms (haboobs), if you see a wall of dust, pull off, turn off your lights, and wait it out. Pro tip: avoid the I-17 Phoenix-bound lanes on Sunday afternoons when valley weekenders head home.

What amenities should I expect at campgrounds near Cordes Lakes?

You're spoiled for choice. Most full-service RV parks within 30 to 40 minutes, like Verde Ranch RV Resort, Distant Drums, and Orchard Ranch, offer 30/50-amp electric, water, sewer hookups, WiFi, laundry, showers, pools, and dog parks. Dump stations and potable water fills are easy to find along the I-17 corridor. Prescott National Forest sites are more rustic, vault toilets and no hookups, ideal if your rig has solar and full tanks. Pro tip: fill freshwater and dump before heading up to higher-elevation boondocking spots near Mingus Mountain, services get sparse once you leave I-17.

You're getting a fully equipped home on wheels. Most RVezy rentals in Cordes Lakes come with real beds (queens are common, bunks in family rigs), a full kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, sink, and cookware, a bathroom with shower and toilet, climate control (air conditioning is essential here, heat for chilly nights), and seatbelted seating for travel. Many rigs also include a TV, generator or solar for boondocking, an outdoor awning, and camp chairs, helpful since cell coverage drops in spots along Crown King Road. Larger Class A and C motorhomes typically sleep 6 to 8; campervans sleep 2 to 4. Pro tip: check the listing's amenities and message the host to confirm bedding, towels, and kitchen starter kits are included.

What add-ons and mileage policies should I know about?

Hosts in Cordes Lakes offer plenty of useful add-ons to customize your trip. Common extras include linen and towel packages, camp chairs and outdoor mats, generator hours for boondocking, bike racks, kayaks (popular for Watson Lake), portable grills, and pre-stocked pantry kits. Mileage policies vary by listing, some offer unlimited mileage RV rental (great for Grand Canyon or Utah loops), while others include a daily allotment with a small per-mile fee beyond that. Pickup and drop-off times are typically flexible within a window the host sets. Pro tip: bundle your add-ons in one host message before booking to get an accurate total, and ask about delivery if you'd rather skip the I-17 drive entirely.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Cordes%20Lakes%2C%20Arizona

How do payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Payment is straightforward and secure. You pay through RVezy when you book, no cash and no awkward handoffs at pickup. The total includes the nightly rate, your chosen protection plan, any host add-ons (delivery, generator, linens), and applicable taxes. A refundable security deposit is held separately from your booking payment before pickup, the amount varies by rig but is clearly listed on the booking page so there are no surprises. As long as the RV comes back in the condition you got it, the hold is released after your trip. Pro tip: do a thorough walkaround photo and video with your host at pickup and drop-off, it protects both sides and keeps your deposit return smooth.

Any local insider tips for an RV trip from Cordes Lakes?

Here's a local favorite: skip some of the I-17 traffic and take the back route. From Cordes Lakes, head east on Highway 69 to Mayer, then over via Highway 169 toward the Verde Valley, a quiet, scenic stretch with great Mingus Mountain views. While you're in the area, Arcosanti, the iconic experimental town just minutes from Cordes Junction, makes a fascinating morning tour stop, and the Crown King area (a long dirt-road adventure best for capable tow vehicles or truck campers) is a memorable side trip. Pro tip: catch sunset at Sunset Point Rest Area off I-17, it's literally named for the view and lives up to the name every evening.
