I am not a seasoned camper by any means. However I have had the opportunity to rent a few campers over the last 2 seasons. This camper has been my favorite. It was extremely spacious, clean and fully equipped. We were able to cook and host dinner for 4 large adults without climbing all over one another in the camper during the rainy evenings. Brooklyn provided a full white glove service with delivery, setup, pickup and even a "how to" session to answer my newbie questions. I could totally get used to camping in this rig. I will be starring this camper in the hopes to rent it again in the future. Thank you Brooklyn!

When the phrase “above and beyond” was created , Shiloh was who they had in mind. Not only did Shiloh rent us his RV for a really important family reunion in Aurora (on the other side of the mountain range), he rented us his truck as well because our vehicle wouldn’t haul it. He truly went above and beyond to accommodate our trip, making sure we had everything we needed and checked in on us daily to make sure all was well. You are in good hands booking with him, he is a man of his word and I would be happy to business with him again. Thanks again Shiloh!!

Lynn was a wonderful Host! She was very kind, attentive and very helpful. Lynn's support went way beyond our expectations. The RV was fully supplied and just the right size for us (3adults, two children). We would definitely rent again. Colorado was beautiful and we stayed in a great campground.

What an incredible experience! Dalia was incredible and super helpful. The RV was perfect for our 8 day trip around Colorado. Perfect size and very cozy. We loved the one charge for all add ons rather than itemized additions (some other listings wanted $30 just for bed sheets!) would do this trip again and certainly use this RV again.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Arvada, CO

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Arvada, CO?

RV rental in Arvada is more affordable than you might expect, especially compared to traditional Rocky Mountain vacations. Travel trailers typically run $90 to $175 per night, Class C motorhomes range from $185 to $325, and luxury Class A rigs sit between $250 and $450. Because Arvada hosts list their own personal RVs on RVezy, you can filter by price and find a cheap RV rental in Arvada that fits your budget. Pro tip: book a Sunday-through-Thursday trip in May or September to skip Denver's summer surge pricing. Many hosts also drop nightly rates for stays of 5 nights or longer, so a slightly longer Colorado RV trip can actually save you money per night.

What license do I need to rent an RV in Arvada?

Good news: a regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Arvada. Colorado does not require a special endorsement or Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for any motorhome or trailer you'll find on RVezy, including big Class A rigs and fifth wheels. Approved drivers must generally be 25 or older, and RVezy verifies your ID right inside the platform during booking, so there's no extra paperwork or DMV visit. Visiting from outside the U.S.? Bring your home-country license plus an International Driving Permit (IDP) and you're set. First time renting an RV? Your host will walk you through every system at pickup, so you'll roll out of Arvada feeling confident behind the wheel.

What protection is included with my Arvada RV rental?

Every RV rental in Arvada booked through RVezy includes a renter protection plan and 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can focus on the Rockies instead of the what-ifs. The protection plan covers physical damage to the RV during your trip, giving you real financial peace of mind. During booking, you choose the protection level that fits your comfort, not the host, so you stay in control. If you get a flat on I-70 heading toward the mountains or a battery quits at your campsite, one phone call gets help dispatched. That safety net is a huge reason first-timers feel comfortable hitting the road from Arvada.

What if I need to cancel my Arvada RV trip?

Booking is genuinely low-risk: RVezy sets a clear cancellation policy on every reservation (hosts don't set their own), and there's a money-back grace period right after you book so you can lock in your dates without stress. If a Colorado blizzard shuts down I-70 or a wildfire affects your route, RVezy's support team is there to help work through changes. The exact refund window depends on how far out your trip is, so review the cancellation details on your booking page or message RVezy support directly. If a host cancels on you, RVezy refunds your booking or offers travel credits. Bottom line: you're not stuck, and you're not alone if plans shift.

Can I bring my dog on an RV trip from Arvada?

Absolutely, Arvada is one of the most dog-loving cities in Colorado, and pet-friendly RV rental in Arvada is easy to find on RVezy. Just toggle the Pet-Friendly filter and you'll see rigs from hosts who welcome four-legged co-pilots. Once you've picked up the keys, head to the off-leash areas at Two Ponds National Wildlife Refuge or the popular Westminster Hills Off-Leash Dog Park (420+ acres) just minutes from town. On the road, both Golden Gate Canyon State Park and Cherry Creek State Park allow leashed dogs on most trails. Pro tip: message the host before booking to confirm dog size, breed, and any cleaning fee so there are zero surprises at pickup.

Can the RV be delivered to me in Arvada?

Yes, RV delivery in Arvada is widely available and it's a game-changer if you've never towed or driven a big rig. Many local hosts will drive the RV straight to your home, a Front Range campground like Chatfield State Park, or a campground near Red Rocks, then set up the awning, level it, hook up power and water, and walk you through every system. Use the Delivery filter on RVezy to see hosts offering this service and their delivery radius. Delivery fees usually run $2 to $4 per mile round trip. For a stress-free first time renting an RV, delivery plus setup is the smartest money you can spend.

How far can I drive on my Arvada RV rental?

You've got plenty of road ahead of you. Most Arvada hosts include 100 to 150 free miles per night, and some offer RV rental with unlimited mileage, which is perfect for a longer Colorado loop. Extra miles typically cost $0.30 to $0.45 each, and the mileage policy is listed clearly on every RVezy listing. From Arvada you're about 70 miles to Rocky Mountain National Park, 90 miles to Breckenridge, 240 miles to Great Sand Dunes National Park, and roughly 380 miles to Mesa Verde. Pro tip: if you're planning a multi-park RV road trip from Arvada, message a few hosts to compare mileage packages, since one with unlimited miles can save you hundreds.

Where are the best campgrounds near Arvada, CO?

You're spoiled for choice. The best campgrounds near Arvada include Golden Gate Canyon State Park (about 20 miles west, with the Reverend's Ridge and Aspen Meadow loops offering full-hookup sites at over 9,000 feet), Chief Hosa Campground off I-70 in Genesee, Denver West / Central City KOA in Golden, Dakota Ridge RV Park near Red Rocks, and Clear Creek RV Park in downtown Golden right on the creek. For a quick getaway, Cherry Creek State Park sits about 30 minutes southeast with 50-amp sites. Insider tip for RV camping in Arvada: book Golden Gate Canyon 6 months ahead through the Colorado Parks and Wildlife reservation system because Front Range locals snap up summer weekends fast.

When is the best time to take an Arvada RV trip?

The sweet spot for an Arvada RV trip runs from late May through early October, with June and September being the locals' favorites. Summer highs in Arvada average 85 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit with cool 55 degree nights, perfect for sleeping with the windows open. July and August bring classic Front Range afternoon thunderstorms (usually clearing by dinner), and September delivers golden aspens up in the high country, smaller crowds, and lower nightly rates. Spring shoulder season (May) can still see snow above 8,000 feet, so plan lower-elevation routes. Pro tip: target the third or fourth week of September for an Arvada RV trip and you'll catch peak aspen color in places like Kenosha Pass and Guanella Pass.

I've never driven an RV. Will I be okay starting from Arvada?

You're going to be just fine, and Arvada is actually a great launchpad for a first time renting an RV. Every RVezy host gives a hands-on walkthrough at pickup covering driving, leveling, slide-outs, propane, water, and dumping, and they're a text away during your trip. Start with a smaller Class C motorhome rental in Arvada or a campervan rental in Arvada if you're nervous, and choose a first-night campground close to town like Chatfield State Park or Dakota Ridge RV Park, both under 30 minutes away. Use surface streets to reach Highway 93 north toward Boulder instead of I-70 for your first city drive. By night two, you'll feel like a pro.
codot.gov/safety

What happens if the RV breaks down during my trip?

Take a deep breath, you're covered. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the protection plan, so a single phone call gets a technician dispatched whether you're stuck in an Arvada parking lot, climbing Berthoud Pass, or parked at a campsite near Estes Park. Common Front Range issues like flat tires, dead batteries, propane problems, and lockouts are all handled. Your host is also typically available by text for quick fixes like resetting a generator or troubleshooting the fridge. Pro tip: snap a photo of the VIN and serial plate at pickup, and save both the host's number and RVezy support in your phone before you leave Arvada, so help is always one tap away.

Can I take my Arvada RV rental to other states or into Canada?

Most hosts happily welcome cross-state RV road trips from Arvada, which puts Wyoming, Utah, New Mexico, Nebraska, Kansas, and South Dakota all within reach. Yellowstone is about 540 miles north, Moab is 350 miles west, and Mount Rushmore is 380 miles northeast. Travel into Canada may be allowed on some bookings, but confirm directly with the host and RVezy support before booking so insurance coverage is set up correctly. Important: travel to Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance coverage doesn't extend there. Message any host through the listing page to confirm your route, then book with confidence.

How much should I budget for fuel on a Colorado RV trip?

Fuel is the single biggest variable cost, so let's get specific. Class B campervans average 18 to 20 mpg, Class C motorhomes get 8 to 12 mpg, and Class A rigs run 6 to 10 mpg. Colorado regular gas prices typically hover around $3.00 to $3.60 per gallon, with diesel slightly higher. For a 500-mile loop from Arvada to Rocky Mountain National Park and back through Steamboat Springs, budget roughly $180 to $250 in fuel for a Class C. Pro tip: fill up in Arvada or Golden before heading west, because gas stations in mountain towns like Estes Park, Granby, and Idaho Springs often charge $0.40 to $0.80 more per gallon.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/

How far in advance should I book a campground near Arvada?

For summer weekends, book as early as you can, ideally 6 months out, because Colorado state parks release reservations on a rolling 6-month window through the Colorado Parks and Wildlife system at cpw.state.co.us. Rocky Mountain National Park campgrounds (Moraine Park, Glacier Basin, Aspenglen) open on Recreation.gov 6 months ahead and sell out within minutes for July and August. Private parks like Dakota Ridge RV Park or Denver West KOA usually have more flexibility, often 2 to 4 weeks out. Pro tip: weekday nights and Sunday arrivals are dramatically easier to score, and shoulder-season trips (mid-May, late September) often have walk-up availability at Golden Gate Canyon State Park just 20 miles from Arvada.
cpw.state.co.us/buyapply/Pages/Reservations.aspx

What are driving conditions like around Arvada and in the Colorado mountains?

Driving an RV around Arvada itself is easy: wide suburban streets, gentle terrain, and quick access to Highway 93, I-70, and the Northwest Parkway. The fun part starts when you head up. I-70 west climbs from about 5,300 feet in Arvada to 11,158 feet at the Eisenhower Tunnel, so take it slow, use lower gears on descents, and watch for the runaway truck ramps near Georgetown. Afternoon thunderstorms in July and August can bring sudden hail above 9,000 feet, so try to be off mountain passes by 2 p.m. Winter travelers should know Colorado's Traction Law can require snow-rated tires or chains on I-70 west of Denver from September 1 through May 31.
codot.gov/travel/winter-driving/tractionlaw

What amenities can I expect at campgrounds near Arvada?

Front Range campgrounds are well-equipped. Most private parks like Denver West KOA, Dakota Ridge RV Park, and Clear Creek RV Park in Golden offer full hookups (50-amp electric, water, sewer), free Wi-Fi, hot showers, laundry, and dump stations. Colorado state parks like Golden Gate Canyon and Cherry Creek typically provide 30/50-amp electric with shared water spigots and centralized dump stations rather than sewer at every site. For free water fills and dump stations between trips, Bear Creek Lake Park in Lakewood and Cherry Creek State Park both offer them for a small fee. Pro tip: many higher-elevation sites near Arvada turn off water lines from October through April, so check before you book a fall or winter Colorado trip.
cpw.state.co.us/placestogo/parks/cherrycreek

What's inside a typical RV rental in Arvada?

More than you'd think. A typical motorhome rental in Arvada comes fully equipped with a queen or king bed, a kitchen (fridge, freezer, stove, microwave, sink), a full bathroom with shower, dining seating with seatbelts for travel, heating, air conditioning, and either a generator or solar for off-grid power. Most sleep 4 to 8 people thanks to convertible dinettes and overhead bunks. Campervan rentals in Arvada are more compact but include a bed, kitchenette, and often a portable toilet. Many hosts throw in starter kits with linens, kitchenware, camp chairs, and outdoor mats. Pro tip: check each RVezy listing's amenities section for Wi-Fi, TV, backup camera, and tow-package details, then message the host to confirm anything you can't live without.
rvia.org/standards

What add-ons and pickup options should I know about?

Arvada hosts often offer add-ons that genuinely make your trip easier: bedding and towel kits ($30 to $75), kitchen packages ($25 to $50), camp chairs and outdoor rugs, generators for boondocking, bike racks, kayak racks, and pre-stocked propane and water tanks. Pickup is usually at the host's home in Arvada, Westminster, Wheat Ridge, or Golden, and many also offer delivery to nearby campgrounds. Standard checkout includes returning the RV with the fuel and propane level it left with and the black/gray tanks dumped. Pro tip: if dumping tanks isn't your idea of vacation, ask your host about a dump fee add-on (usually $40 to $75). It's the easiest upgrade you'll ever buy.

How does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Payment is straightforward and fully handled through the RVezy platform, so you never hand cash to a host. You'll pay through RVezy when you book using a credit or debit card. A refundable security deposit (typically $500 to $1,500 depending on the RV) is held separately from your booking payment and pre-authorized on your card before pickup. As long as you return the RV in the same condition, that hold is released after your trip ends. Pro tip: do a thorough walkthrough video with your host at pickup and dropoff documenting tires, exterior, and interior. It's the single best way to avoid any security deposit headaches on your Arvada RV rental.

Can I park an RV overnight on the street in Arvada?

Quick heads-up that'll save you a ticket: the City of Arvada does not allow recreational vehicles to be used for overnight accommodations on public or private property, and RVs can only be parked on the street for up to 72 hours within any 7-day period. The good news is you have great alternatives just minutes away. Park overnight at Chatfield State Park, Cherry Creek State Park, Dakota Ridge RV Park, or Denver West / Central City KOA, all within roughly 30 minutes of Olde Town Arvada. If you're picking up your RV the day before your trip, ask your host about leaving it at their property overnight or coordinating a same-day pickup, since that's where to park an RV in Arvada legally.
