This RV is incredible and was perfect for our family of four. Everything worked perfectly and was in excellent condition. We loved being able to do all of our cooking outside. Being able to put the murphy bed up during the day and have a couch for more seating was extremely helpful. Highly recommend!

I am not a seasoned camper by any means. However I have had the opportunity to rent a few campers over the last 2 seasons. This camper has been my favorite. It was extremely spacious, clean and fully equipped. We were able to cook and host dinner for 4 large adults without climbing all over one another in the camper during the rainy evenings. Brooklyn provided a full white glove service with delivery, setup, pickup and even a "how to" session to answer my newbie questions. I could totally get used to camping in this rig. I will be starring this camper in the hopes to rent it again in the future. Thank you Brooklyn!

When the phrase “above and beyond” was created , Shiloh was who they had in mind. Not only did Shiloh rent us his RV for a really important family reunion in Aurora (on the other side of the mountain range), he rented us his truck as well because our vehicle wouldn’t haul it. He truly went above and beyond to accommodate our trip, making sure we had everything we needed and checked in on us daily to make sure all was well. You are in good hands booking with him, he is a man of his word and I would be happy to business with him again. Thanks again Shiloh!!

Do I need a special license to rent an RV in Highlands Ranch?

Good news: a regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Highlands Ranch, CO. Colorado does not require a commercial driver's license (CDL) for personal RVs, even larger Class A motorhomes, so your standard license covers everything on the RVezy marketplace. Winter RV camping Highlands Ranch travelers do exists too, mild valley days in the 40s°F make ski-trip basecamps fun if the rig has heated tanks. Interstate travel within the U.S. is widely allowed, and popular routes include Moab, UT (about 350 miles west), Yellowstone via Wyoming (about 550 miles north), and Santa Fe, NM (about 380 miles south). Cross-border travel to Canada may be allowed depending on the specific host and insurance terms, so message the host directly to confirm before booking. Travel to Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because protection coverage does not extend there. Pro tip: I-70 west through the Rockies is the classic motorhome rental Highlands Ranch route, just check Colorado DOT chain law status if you are traveling between September and May.

What kind of fuel mileage should I expect, and how much will gas cost?

Easy to budget once you know the numbers. Class C motorhomes average 8 to 12 miles per gallon (mpg), Class B campervans 18 to 22 mpg, and travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle (usually 10 to 14 mpg). Colorado gas prices typically run a bit below the national average, hovering around $3.20 to $3.70 per gallon in the Denver metro, with stations along Santa Fe Drive and County Line Road in Highlands Ranch being convenient fill-ups. For a 7-day, 600-mile Colorado loop in a Class C, budget roughly $200 to $275 in fuel. Pro tip: fill up in town before heading into the mountains, prices jump noticeably in resort areas like Frisco and Vail.

How far in advance should I book campgrounds near Highlands Ranch?

Book sooner than you think, but you've got options if you're last-minute. Colorado state parks like Chatfield and Cherry Creek open reservations 6 months in advance through the official Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) reservation system, and summer weekends fill within hours of opening. For July and August at Chatfield, aim to book in January or February. Private parks like Jellystone at Larkspur and Dakota Ridge RV Park usually have more flexibility 2 to 4 weeks out. Need a last-minute spot? Tuesday and Wednesday nights almost always have openings somewhere. Pro tip: create your CPW account before reservations open so you're ready to click the moment the calendar releases.

What are the local driving conditions like around Highlands Ranch?

Honestly, easier than most major metros. Highlands Ranch sits at about 5,900 feet, so you'll feel the altitude before you feel any traffic stress. Roads like C-470, Santa Fe Drive (US-85), and University Boulevard are wide and RV-friendly, and you can reach I-25 or I-70 in 15 to 25 minutes. The classic warning: afternoon mountain thunderstorms can roll in fast from June to August, so plan I-70 mountain drives for the morning. In winter, Colorado's chain law can activate on mountain passes, but Front Range driving around Highlands Ranch stays manageable. Pro tip: avoid I-25 northbound between 4 and 6 p.m. on weekdays, leave at 10 a.m. or after 7 p.m. for an easy run into Denver.

Cherry Creek State Park has similar amenities with a swim beach bonus. Private parks like Dakota Ridge in Golden and Jellystone at Larkspur add Wi-Fi, pools, and propane refills. Need to dump or refill water in town? Chatfield and Cherry Creek both allow day-use dump access for a small fee, and Discount Storage near Highlands Ranch offers black/grey dumping too. Pro tip: top off freshwater before heading into Pike National Forest, dispersed sites have no hookups.

How do payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Simple and transparent, no surprises. You pay securely through RVezy at booking using a credit card, never directly to the host, which keeps everything protected. A refundable security deposit is held separately from your booking payment (amount set by the host and shown on the listing) and released after the trip once the RV is returned in the same condition. To avoid any deposit hassle, do a quick photo walkaround at pickup and dropoff, follow the host fuel and dump-tank return instructions, and stay within your mileage allowance. Pro tip: review the listing house rules and add-ons before you confirm, knowing the cleaning expectations up front makes return day a breeze.

Can I park an RV overnight at my home in Highlands Ranch?

Quick heads-up so your trip starts smooth: Highlands Ranch has specific RV parking rules to know. Most neighborhoods fall under the Highlands Ranch Community Association (HRCA) covenants, which prohibit overnight street parking of RVs and trailers; short-term driveway parking is allowed only for active loading and unloading. Douglas County also limits RV street parking in specified areas to no more than 72 hours within a 7-day period. The fix is easy: schedule pickup and dropoff windows with your host, or choose delivery so the rig arrives only when you need it. Pro tip: many RVezy hosts can deliver the morning of your trip and pick up the morning after, zero parking stress.
