2021 Thor Motor Coach Class C
The owners of the RV were kind and honest people. They were generous enough to be super flexible with the pickup and drop off times which was extremely helpful (i'm sure they cant do this for EVERYBODY, but they did for me). The RV was clean and everything worked well! Overall a great experience, we would definitely rent from them again in the future.

2020 Coleman Travel Trailer
Justin was a great host. He took the time to walk me through setup of the camper so I was comfortable with the operation during towing as well as the power accessories, lighting, refrigerator/freezer, speakers and bathroom. Justin also had the camper fully stocked with clean bedding, kitchen tools, toilet paper and even some games. We will definitely reserve with Justin in the future.

This is a great rv trailer for the mtns of Colorado! We took it to Wellington Lake (not the smoothest roads) and had no issues towing it or parking in the rugged campsite. Joe was super helpful and made sure had everything we need! Would definitely rent again!

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Roxborough Park, Colorado?
RV rental in Roxborough Park is more affordable than most people expect, especially when you compare it to hotels and rental cars combined. cpw.state.co.us/placestogo/parks/RoxboroughWhat license do I need to rent an RV in Roxborough Park?
Good news: a standard driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Roxborough Park. Colorado does not require a commercial driver's license (CDL) or any special RV endorsement for personal motorhomes, travel trailers, or campervans under 26,000 pounds, which covers essentially every rig on RVezy. You'll need to be at least 25 years old and upload a clear photo of your license during the quick ID verification step in checkout. Visiting from outside the U.S.? Bring your home license plus an International Driving Permit (IDP) from your local auto association, usually under $25. Most first-time renters are surprised how simple the whole process is, you can be verified and booked in under 15 minutes.
dmv.colorado.gov/drivers-licenseIs RV rental insurance and roadside assistance included in Roxborough Park?
Yes, every RVezy booking in Roxborough Park automatically includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can head toward the Front Range foothills with real peace of mind. You choose your protection level (Standard, Premium, or Peace of Mind) at checkout, and it helps cover accidental damage to the RV during your trip. Roadside help is one phone call away whether you need a tire change near Sedalia, a battery boost at Chatfield State Park, or fuel delivery on US-85. It's the kind of safety net that makes a Roxborough Park RV trip genuinely stress-free, especially if it's your first time renting an RV.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailWhat happens if I need to cancel my Roxborough Park RV booking?
You can book with confidence. RVezy applies a standard cancellation policy across every listing, so you don't have to compare different rules host by host. There's a grace period after booking where you can cancel for a full refund, and additional refund tiers apply depending on how far out from your trip you cancel. If a host has to cancel, RVezy refunds your booking or helps you rebook with travel credits. For a current Roxborough Park RV trip, message the host through the listing to confirm availability and book early, the best pet-friendly and delivery-ready rigs go fast for summer weekends.

Absolutely, you'll find dozens of pet-friendly RV rental Roxborough Park options on RVezy, just toggle the Pet-Friendly filter when you search. Many local hosts welcome dogs with a small cleaning add-on, and some have hosted family pets themselves so the rigs come stocked with non-slip rugs and tie-down points. Important local note: dogs are not permitted inside Roxborough State Park itself (it's a designated wildlife preserve), but Chatfield State Park 10 miles north has a famous off-leash dog park with swim ponds, and Waterton Canyon allows leashed dogs on its scenic riverside trail. Message your host before booking to confirm pet details and ask for their favorite dog-friendly trail nearby, they almost always have a great local rec.
cpw.state.co.us/placestogo/parks/ChatfieldCan the RV be delivered to my campsite or home in Roxborough Park?

Many local hosts will drive the motorhome or travel trailer directly to Chatfield State Park campground, your driveway in Roxborough Village, or even a trailhead near Waterton Canyon, then level it, hook up water and power, and walk you through every system. Delivery fees typically range from $2 to $4 per mile, with some hosts offering free delivery within a 15-mile radius. Just use the Delivery filter and enter your destination address. It's the easiest way to enjoy a Roxborough Park RV trip without ever having to drive the rig yourself, perfect for families with young kids.
cpw.state.co.us/placestogo/parks/Chatfield/Pages/Camping.aspxHow does mileage work and how far can I travel from Roxborough Park?

Each listing shows the exact mileage policy and overage rate (typically $0.30 to $0.45 per extra mile) right under the price. codot.gov/travelWhere are the best campgrounds near Roxborough Park?
You're spoiled for choice with some of the best campgrounds near Roxborough Park sitting within a 30-minute drive. Chatfield State Park (about 10 miles north) has 197 sites with full hookups, lake access, and easy paved roads, ideal for big rigs. Cherry Creek State Park (25 miles northeast) offers 135 sites near a swim beach and is a Front Range favorite. Indian Creek Campground in Pike National Forest (15 miles southwest near Sedalia) gives you a quieter, pine-shaded experience. For something closer to Denver attractions, Dakota Ridge RV Resort in Golden (20 miles north) has resort-style amenities. Note that Roxborough State Park itself is day-use only, no overnight camping, so plan to stay at one of these nearby parks and day-trip into Roxborough's iconic red-rock hikes.
cpw.state.co.us/placestogo/parks/ChatfieldWhen is the best time of year to take a Roxborough Park RV trip?
Late April through mid-October is the sweet spot for RV camping Roxborough Park, with the absolute peak being late May to early October. Spring brings wildflowers and 60 to 70 degree days, summer (June to August) runs 80 to 92 degrees with cool 55-degree nights and occasional afternoon thunderstorms, and fall (September to mid-October) is arguably the best season, crisp 65-degree days, golden cottonwoods along the South Platte, and far fewer crowds. Winter trips are also doable since the elevation is only about 6,200 feet and snow usually clears within a day or two, but you'll want a four-season RV with heated tanks. Insider tip: book a September weekday, you'll have Fountain Valley Trail nearly to yourself.
weather.gov/bou/I've never rented an RV before, will I be okay in Roxborough Park?
You'll do great. First time renting an RV is the most common situation on RVezy, and Roxborough Park is one of the friendliest places to start. Every host gives you a hands-on walkthrough at pickup covering propane, water, slides, generator, dump procedures, and driving tips, and many also send a video orientation ahead of time and stay reachable by text throughout your trip. The roads around Roxborough Park are wide and gently rolling (no scary mountain passes unless you choose to head west on I-70), and you can practice in the large paved lot at Chatfield State Park before heading out. Choose a smaller Class C motorhome or a campervan rental Roxborough Park for the easiest learning curve, they drive much like a large SUV.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039008774-Understanding-approved-driver-requirementsWhat if something goes wrong on the road during my Roxborough Park RV trip?
You're covered around the clock. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance, so whether you've got a flat tire on US-85, a dead battery at the Roxborough State Park visitor lot, or you've locked the keys inside at a Chatfield campsite, help is one phone call away. The roadside team handles tire changes, jump-starts, fuel delivery, lockouts, and towing to the nearest qualified service center. Your host is also a quick text away for system-specific questions like restarting the generator or troubleshooting the water pump, and RVezy support is available before, during, and after the trip through the Help Center.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailCan I take the RV out of Colorado on a road trip from Roxborough Park?
Yes, multi-state RV road trips from Roxborough Park are encouraged by most hosts, just confirm in the listing or message the host before booking. Popular interstate routes include Roxborough Park to Moab, Utah (around 360 miles via I-70), to Grand Teton and Yellowstone via Jackson, Wyoming (around 560 miles), to Taos, New Mexico (around 290 miles), and to Mount Rushmore, South Dakota (around 390 miles). Travel into Canada may be allowed by some hosts with advance approval and additional paperwork, just ask first. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance coverage does not extend across that border. Filter for hosts with extended or unlimited mileage if you're planning a big loop, and you're set for an epic Western road trip.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039340074-Insurance-coverage-validityHow much should I budget for fuel?
Fuel is one of the biggest line items on any RV trip, but it's very predictable once you know your numbers. Class B campervans average 18 to 22 miles per gallon (mpg), Class C motorhomes get 8 to 12 mpg, Class A coaches run 6 to 10 mpg, and travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle (usually 10 to 14 mpg combined). Gas prices in the Roxborough Park area typically run within a few cents of the Colorado state average, and the Costco in Highlands Ranch and Sam's Club in Lone Tree consistently have the lowest pump prices within 15 miles. For a typical 4-day, 400-mile loop in a Class C, plan on roughly $150 to $200 in fuel. Pro tip: fill up before heading west on US-285, prices climb noticeably in mountain towns.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/How far in advance should I book a campground?
Book early and you'll have your pick of the best spots. Chatfield State Park, Cherry Creek State Park, and other Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) campgrounds open reservations 6 months in advance through the official CPW reservation portal, and summer weekends (Memorial Day through Labor Day) routinely sell out within hours of opening. For July and August trips, aim to book in January or February. National Forest sites like Indian Creek take reservations through Recreation.gov on a similar 6-month window. If you're a planner stuck without a reservation, Chatfield holds back a handful of first-come, first-served sites, arrive Thursday morning for the best shot. Pair early campground booking with an early RV reservation on RVezy and your Roxborough Park RV trip is locked in.
cpwshop.com/What are local driving conditions like around Roxborough Park?
Driving in and around Roxborough Park is genuinely easy for an RV, the area sits in the rolling Front Range foothills at about 6,200 feet, with wide two-lane roads and gentle grades. Santa Fe Drive (US-85) and C-470 are the main arteries connecting you to Denver, both fully RV-friendly. The roads inside Roxborough State Park have a vehicle length limit (no trailers or RVs over 26 feet on Roxborough Park Drive past the entrance), so plan to park at the visitor center and hike from there. Watch for summer afternoon thunderstorms (typically 2 to 5 p.m.) and occasional black ice in winter. Colorado's traction law can apply on mountain roads from September to May, your RVezy host will confirm whether the rig is already equipped.
codot.gov/travel/winter-driving/tractionlawWhat amenities should I expect at campgrounds near Roxborough Park?
Front Range campgrounds are well-equipped and easy to navigate. Chatfield State Park offers full hookups (water, electric 30/50 amp, sewer) at many sites, a dump station, potable water fill stations, hot showers, flush toilets, and a camp store. Cherry Creek State Park has similar amenities plus a swim beach. Indian Creek and Pike National Forest sites are more rustic (vault toilets, no hookups), but you can dump tanks and refill water at Chatfield's dump station for a small fee even if you're not staying there. Cell signal is generally strong throughout the area on Verizon and AT&T. Pro tip: arriving with empty grey/black tanks and a full fresh-water tank means you can boondock or use a no-hookup site for a night or two without stress.

Most rigs also have a TV, Bluetooth stereo, and a propane-powered generator for off-grid power, and many hosts now include Wi-Fi hotspots, solar panels, or Starlink as add-ons. Campervans are more compact but still pack a bed, kitchenette, and often a wet bath. Check the amenities list on each listing, hosts in the Denver South area are known for thoughtful extras like camp chairs, lanterns, and even s'mores kits.

Standard rental day is usually 24 hours, and most hosts offer early-pickup or late-return for a small fee if their schedule allows. Want the easiest experience possible? Add delivery and setup, the rig arrives at your campsite ready to use. Filter by Instant Book if you want to confirm your dates immediately without waiting for host approval.
codot.gov/business/permits/oversize-overweightHow does payment and the security deposit work for an RV rental in Roxborough Park?
Payment is straightforward and fully handled through RVezy, no cash and no awkward host conversations. You'll pay the booking total by credit or debit card when you book, and depending on how far out your trip is, you may pay in a deposit plus balance schedule. A separate refundable security deposit is pre-authorized on your card a few days before pickup, typically a few hundred to a couple thousand dollars depending on the RV's value, and it's released back to you after drop-off as long as the rig comes back in the same condition. Pro tip: take a quick walk-around video at pickup and again at return, it's the single best way to ensure a smooth deposit refund and start your Roxborough Park RV trip with zero worries.
