2021 Thor Motor Coach Class C
The owners of the RV were kind and honest people. They were generous enough to be super flexible with the pickup and drop off times which was extremely helpful (i'm sure they cant do this for EVERYBODY, but they did for me). The RV was clean and everything worked well! Overall a great experience, we would definitely rent from them again in the future.

2020 Coleman Travel Trailer
Justin was a great host. He took the time to walk me through setup of the camper so I was comfortable with the operation during towing as well as the power accessories, lighting, refrigerator/freezer, speakers and bathroom. Justin also had the camper fully stocked with clean bedding, kitchen tools, toilet paper and even some games. We will definitely reserve with Justin in the future.

2020 Crossroads Travel Trailer
We are relatively new to the camper life, and Joe helped get us situated and made sure we had a great time! Strong communication, quick responses and ready to answer any questions we had throughout our trip. The RV itself is well taken care of, clean, and functional. Awning and awning lights were a super bonus! Also cool that he had the shrek DVD available (among others). Would love to rent from Joe again.

The state does not require a commercial driver's license or any special endorsement for personal RVs, including large Class A motorhomes and fifth wheels. You'll need to be at least 25 years old to book on RVezy, and your identity is confirmed quickly through the platform during checkout. Visiting from outside the United States? Bring your home country license along with an International Driving Permit and you're set. Plans change, and RVezy makes it easy. Every booking is backed by an RVezy cancellation policy that includes a money-back grace period right after booking, so reserving your Pinery RV trip is genuinely low-risk. Cancellation outcomes depend on factors like how far in advance you cancel and whether unexpected events like wildfires or severe Front Range snowstorms impact your trip. Hosts don't set these terms, RVezy does, which keeps things consistent across every listing you browse. If life throws you a curveball, just reach out to RVezy support and they'll walk you through your options so you can rebook with confidence when the timing is right.

codot.gov/travelWhere should I stay during my RV camping trip in The Pinery?
You're spoiled for choice when it comes to RV camping The Pinery has nearby. Cherry Creek State Park in Aurora, about 20 miles north, offers full-hookup campsites, hot showers, and an 880-acre reservoir. Chatfield State Park near Littleton has full-hookup loops and easy boat access. Jellystone Park at Larkspur is a family-favorite about 20 minutes south, packed with pools and activities. For a wilder vibe, head to Castlewood Canyon State Park for day use and try Mueller State Park (about 75 miles southwest) for forested mountain sites. Reserve through Colorado Parks and Wildlife up to six months ahead, since Front Range summer weekends sell out fast.
cpw.state.co.us/state-parks/cherry-creek-state-parkWhen is the best time of year to take an RV trip from The Pinery?
The sweet spot for a Pinery RV trip is mid-May through late September, when daytime highs sit between 70 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit and mountain passes are reliably open. June brings wildflowers, July and August deliver warm reservoir swimming at Cherry Creek, and September is arguably the best month thanks to golden aspens and thinner crowds. Spring weather along the Front Range can flip from sunny to snowy fast, especially in March and April, so pack layers. Winter RV trips are absolutely doable thanks to Colorado's famously sunny days, just look for four-season rigs. Pro tip: book Labor Day and Memorial Day weekends three to four months ahead.
weather.gov/bou/I've never driven an RV before. Will I be okay?
You'll do great, and you're far from alone. First time renting an RV in The Pinery is one of the most common reasons people book through RVezy, and every host provides a hands-on orientation at pickup that covers driving, leveling, hookups, slide-outs, and the dump station. The Pinery itself sits on gently rolling terrain off Parker Road with wide, easy streets, so you can get comfortable before tackling busier I-25 or mountain routes. Start with a short shakedown to Cherry Creek State Park to practice parking and hookups. Pro tip: message your host before pickup with any questions, and consider a Class C motorhome or smaller travel trailer for your first trip.
fmcsa.dot.gov/What happens if the RV breaks down during my trip?
You're covered around the clock. Every RV rental in The Pinery, CO includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the standard protection plan, so a flat tire on Highway 83, a dead battery at a campground, or a tow on I-25 is handled with one phone call. Many hosts also share their personal cell number in case you have a quick question about a quirky switch or appliance. RVezy support is available before, during, and after your trip through the Help Center. Pro tip: snap photos of every system during your pickup walkthrough so you have a quick reference if something acts up at 10 p.m. at a remote campground.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailCan I take my RV rental across state lines or into Canada?
Yes, an RV road trip from The Pinery into other US states is welcomed by most hosts, and Colorado's central location makes epic loops easy. You can drive through Wyoming to Yellowstone (about 8 hours), into Utah for Moab and Arches (about 6 hours), or down into New Mexico for Taos and Santa Fe (about 5 hours). Cross-border travel into Canada may be allowed with prior host approval and additional paperwork, so message the host before booking. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals due to insurance limitations. Pro tip: confirm your route in writing through the RVezy messaging system so everyone is aligned before you roll out.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039340074-Insurance-coverage-validityHow much should I budget for fuel on a Colorado RV trip?
Fuel is one of the biggest variables, so let's make it predictable. Most Class C motorhomes get 8 to 12 miles per gallon, travel trailers towed by a truck average 10 to 14 mpg, and campervans can hit 18 to 22 mpg. Colorado gas prices typically hover around the national average, and you'll find competitive stations along Parker Road and I-25 near The Pinery before heading into the mountains where prices climb. For a 500-mile round trip in a Class C, budget roughly $200 to $275 in fuel. Pro tip: fill up in Castle Rock or Parker before heading west toward the Rockies, where mountain-town gas can run 30 to 60 cents higher per gallon.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/How far in advance should I book campgrounds near The Pinery?
Front Range campgrounds book up fast, so plan ahead and you'll have your pick of the best campgrounds near The Pinery. Colorado Parks and Wildlife opens reservations six months in advance through cpwshop.com, and popular spots like Cherry Creek State Park and Chatfield State Park sell out within minutes for summer weekends and holidays. Set a calendar alarm for the morning your dates open. Private RV parks like Jellystone at Larkspur and Dakota Ridge in Golden also fill quickly for July and August. Pro tip: midweek arrivals are far easier to snag, and many state parks release cancellations within 72 hours of the date, so refresh the booking page if you're flexible.
cpw.state.co.us/buy-apply/Pages/Camping.aspxWhat are driving conditions like around The Pinery?
The Pinery sits at about 6,200 feet in elevation on rolling prairie just east of the Front Range, with wide, well-maintained roads like Parker Road (Highway 83) and easy access to I-25. Local driving is relaxed and beginner-friendly, but heading west into the mountains introduces steep grades, curves, and rapidly changing weather. Afternoon thunderstorms are common June through August, and winter brings occasional snow that the Colorado Department of Transportation clears quickly. Watch for deer at dawn and dusk along Hess Road and Parker Road. Pro tip: check COtrip.org before any mountain drive, fill your fresh water tank only halfway to save weight on climbs, and never rush through Monument Pass on I-25 in high winds.
codot.gov/travel/colorado-road-conditionsWhat amenities will I find at campgrounds near The Pinery?
You'll find a great mix of comfort and nature. Cherry Creek State Park offers 30/50-amp electric, water, sewer hookups, hot showers, laundry, a dump station, and potable water fill stations. Chatfield State Park provides similar full hookups plus a marina. Private parks like Jellystone Larkspur add pools, mini-golf, and Wi-Fi. Most Colorado state parks have at least one dump station and water fill point even if your specific loop is non-hookup. Where to park an RV in The Pinery overnight outside of a campground is limited, since Douglas County does not allow overnight RV parking on residential streets. Pro tip: top off fresh water at the campground before checkout, since mountain destinations sometimes shut off water seasonally.
cpw.state.co.us/state-parks/cherry-creek-state-park/cherry-creek-state-park-camping-lodgingWhat's included inside a typical motorhome rental in The Pinery?
Motorhome rental The Pinery listings come surprisingly well-equipped for a true home-on-wheels feel. Many Class C and Class A rigs include a generator, outdoor speakers, awnings, and flat-screen TVs, while some hosts offer Wi-Fi hotspots and solar. Campervans (Class B) are nimble and great for couples, with cozier kitchens and pop-top beds. Pro tip: each listing has a detailed amenities checklist, so filter by sleeps count and must-haves like a generator if you plan boondocking near Pike National Forest.

When you book an RV rental The Pinery host has listed, you'll pay the trip total upfront via credit card, and a refundable security deposit is held separately before pickup. Pro tip: do a thorough photo and video walkthrough at pickup and dropoff to keep everything smooth and worry-free.
