The RV was fantastic and Josh was a great host! We were his first booking and you never would’ve known. He was super thorough in the walk-around going through the RV and the intricacies of the truck (it has air brakes!). Once on the road, it was super easy to drive, if you can say that about a 36’ Super C! The air ride seat made it really comfy and the adaptive cruise made it super easy to navigate from the driver side. And the kids and wife loved the onboard generator to watch TV, heat up some food, use the restroom, and even sleep while en route to our destination. When it’s time for another adventure, we’ll definitely be reaching out to Josh to rent again! Highly recommend Josh and his RV.

This was a wonderful experience. We camped in beach areas as well as wooded by a lake and this van was comfortable, reliable and REALLY easy to drive. We went to Atlanta, also, to the aquarium and navigating the city was easy as pie in this thing. The owners are INCREDIBLY nice and the communication is some of the best I’ve ever seen across things like this app, AirBnB, etc. Great people, great van, great experience.

When is the best time of year for an East Point RV trip?

Spring (mid-March through May) and fall (late September through early November) are the sweet spots for an East Point RV trip. Daytime temperatures sit in a comfortable 65 to 80 F range, humidity is manageable, dogwoods and azaleas bloom in spring, and fall foliage glows through nearby Sweetwater Creek and Stone Mountain. Summers run hot and humid with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s and pop-up thunderstorms, so book shaded sites and use the RV's AC liberally. Winters are mild for the South (lows in the 30s to 40s F) and many campgrounds stay open year-round, making RV camping East Point a true four-season option.

I've never rented an RV before. Will I get help at pickup?

You'll be set up for success, even if it's your first time renting an RV. Every RVezy host provides a hands-on orientation at pickup (or at delivery) where they walk you through driving the rig, leveling, hooking up shore power and water, dumping tanks, running the generator, propane, AC, awning, and slide-outs. You can also message the host with questions before you book and during your trip. East Point's flat suburban streets are a friendly place to do a few practice loops before heading to the highway. RVezy's customer support is available to help if you ever feel stuck on your East Point RV trip.

You're never on your own. Every RV rental in East Point comes with 24/7 roadside assistance included in the RVezy renter protection plan, covering items like flat tires, dead batteries, lockouts, fuel delivery, and towing. Your host is also reachable for quick troubleshooting (a flipped breaker or stuck slide-out is often a quick fix over the phone). RVezy's support team is available before, during, and after your trip to help coordinate repairs or rebookings.

What kind of fuel economy and gas budget should I plan for?

Budgeting fuel for your East Point RV trip is straightforward. Travel trailers don't burn their own fuel, but expect your tow vehicle's MPG to drop by 30 to 40 percent. Class B campervans average 18 to 22 MPG, Class C motorhomes get 8 to 12 MPG, and Class A motorhomes typically run 6 to 10 MPG. Gas prices in metro Atlanta are usually near or slightly below the national average, and you'll find diesel and unleaded at large truck-friendly stations along I-285, I-75, and I-85. Tip: fill up at QuikTrip or RaceTrac on Camp Creek Parkway before heading north for competitive pricing.

How far ahead should I book a campsite near East Point?

For the best campgrounds near East Point, plan to reserve 2 to 4 months ahead, especially for spring and fall weekends. Stone Mountain Park, Red Top Mountain State Park, and Sweetwater Creek State Park book through the Georgia State Parks reservation system (gastateparks.org) and fill quickly on holiday weekends like Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) campgrounds around Lake Allatoona and Lake Lanier book through Recreation.gov up to 6 months in advance. Tip: midweek arrivals (Sunday through Wednesday) often have same-week openings even in peak season.

What are local driving conditions like around East Point and Atlanta?

Metro Atlanta driving is busier than it looks on the map, but it's manageable in an RV with a few smart habits. Rush hours (roughly 7 to 9 am and 4 to 6:30 pm weekdays) are the main times to avoid. Most RV drivers use the I-285 perimeter to skirt downtown rather than threading the Connector (I-75/85). East Point itself has flat suburban streets that are easy to maneuver. Watch for low-clearance bridges in older Atlanta neighborhoods, particularly downtown and around Midtown. Summer thunderstorms can pop up fast, so check radar before pulling out. If city driving feels intimidating, book delivery and let the host handle it.

What amenities do campgrounds near East Point offer, and where can I dump and refill?

Campgrounds near East Point are well-equipped for RV camping. Stone Mountain Park, Atlanta South RV Resort, and Red Top Mountain all offer 30/50-amp electric, water, sewer hookups (or nearby dump stations), hot showers, laundry, and WiFi at many sites. Georgia State Parks campgrounds typically have on-site dump stations and potable water fill stations included with your stay. If you're boondocking, Pilot and Flying J locations along I-75 south of Atlanta offer public dump stations and freshwater fill. Many area Cracker Barrels and Walmarts allow one-night overnight parking, always call ahead to confirm.

Most rentals include roof AC, a furnace, a generator or shore-power setup, propane, a flat-screen TV, and many now include WiFi boosters or hotspots. How does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Payment for your East Point RV rental is handled entirely through RVezy's secure online platform, no cash or paper checks change hands with the host. You pay your booking total (rental cost, protection plan, fees, and taxes) by credit card when you confirm, and RVezy holds funds in trust until your trip begins. A separate refundable security deposit is pre-authorized on your card before pickup, with the amount set by the host and shown on the listing. As long as you return the rig clean, with tanks emptied per host instructions, fuel topped off, and no damage, the hold is released after your trip. Photograph the RV at pickup and dropoff to avoid disputes.

Can I drive my East Point RV rental to Florida, Tennessee, or across state lines?

Yes, interstate travel from East Point is allowed with most RVezy hosts, just confirm your route with the listing owner before booking. Popular runs include I-75 south to Florida's Gulf Coast (about 6 hours to Panama City Beach), I-24 northwest to Nashville (about 4 hours), and I-85 northeast to the Carolinas and Asheville (about 3 to 3.5 hours). Cross-border trips into Canada are allowed with many hosts and RVezy insurance coverage extends, but always confirm with the host. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on any RVezy rental because insurance coverage stops at the border. Tip: download GasBuddy and Recreation.gov apps before you leave for a smoother long-haul road trip.
