Norman is fantastic to work with. We just completed our second trip with his van as repeat customers, and it was great yet again. He was incredibly responsive to our needs and questions, and was very flexible to our situation and always very accommodating. The van drives very well and was incredibly comfortable for our family of 4. Highly recommended!

You’re not going to get a better host than Bill or a nicer RV for that price point than this one! As a new RV user, we had a TON of questions before and during our trip. Bill could not have been easier to deal with and his communication was excellent throughout our rental. Bill made our trip trouble-free and AMAZING - Five stars all around for sure!

Jessica communicated well but the RV had more wear than what was shown in the pictures. The seats and trim were old and had wear. The generator would not start so we were not able to use it while traveling. The door between bedroom and kitchen was a constant struggle to open and close. For the price the camper was good. It drove well and had no mechanical issues.

What license do I need to rent an RV in Pembroke?

Great news for first-time renters: a standard driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Pembroke, Georgia. No commercial driver's license (CDL) or special RV endorsement is required for any motorhome or travel trailer available on RVezy, even larger Class A rigs. Approved drivers on RVezy are generally 25 years of age or older, and your ID is verified securely through the platform during booking. Visiting from outside the US? Bring an International Driving Permit (IDP) along with your home country license, available from your local auto club for around $20. What happens if I need to cancel my Pembroke RV trip?

Booking is low-risk: RVezy applies a consistent cancellation policy to every rental, including a money-back grace period right after booking so you can lock in dates with confidence. Your refund amount depends on how far in advance you cancel before the trip start date. Hosts do not set their own cancellation rules, so terms are the same across listings. If plans shift, log into your RVezy account and start the cancellation through your trip dashboard, or message the support team for help. This consistency is especially reassuring for coastal Georgia trips during the Atlantic hurricane season from June through November.

When is the best time to rent an RV in Pembroke?

Spring (March through May) and fall (mid-September through November) are the sweet spots for a Pembroke RV trip. Daytime highs sit comfortably in the 70s and low 80s, evenings cool into the 50s and 60s, humidity drops, and the coastal Georgia mosquitoes ease off. Summer (June through August) brings 90 degree heat with high humidity and afternoon thunderstorms, but a campervan rental in Pembroke with strong AC makes beach trips to Tybee very doable. Winter is mild (highs in the 60s, lows in the 40s), great for snowbirds escaping the north. Pro tip: aim for late October for warm-but-not-hot weather, fewer crowds at Fort McAllister, and lower nightly rental rates.

I have never rented an RV before. How does pickup work in Pembroke?

First time renting an RV? You are going to be fine. Every RVezy host in Pembroke provides a hands-on orientation at pickup, walking you through driving tips, slide-outs, the propane and water systems, the generator, holding tanks, and how to dump and refill. Plan on 45 to 75 minutes for the walkthrough, ask questions freely, and record video on your phone for reference. You can also message the host before booking with any concern. Pembroke's flat, low-traffic country roads around US-280 and GA-119 are an ideal place to get comfortable behind the wheel before heading into Savannah. What kind of fuel economy and gas budget should I expect?

Plan smart and you will be pleasantly surprised. Class B campervans typically get 18 to 22 MPG, Class C motorhomes average 10 to 14 MPG, travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle (usually 10 to 14 MPG combined), and Class A rigs run 7 to 10 MPG. Georgia gas prices typically sit at or below the national average in the Pembroke and Savannah area, and diesel runs slightly higher. For a 4-night loop covering 400 miles in a Class C, budget roughly $110 to $160 in fuel at recent pump prices. Pro tip: fill up at the truck stops along US-280 near I-16 before heading out, prices there are usually cheaper than stations closer to downtown Savannah.

How far ahead should I book campgrounds near Pembroke?

For Georgia State Parks like Fort McAllister and Skidaway Island, book through the official Georgia State Parks reservation portal well in advance, holiday weekends and spring break sell out quickly when reservation windows open. Private parks like Savannah South KOA can usually be booked 2 to 4 months out, though Savannah St. Patrick's Day weekend requires 6 or more months of lead time. For shoulder-season trips in late October or February, 3 to 6 weeks is usually plenty. Pro tip: if a state park shows full, check back two days before your arrival, short-notice cancellations free up surprise openings almost daily, especially at waterfront sites.

Pembroke is one of the more relaxed places in coastal Georgia to drive an RV. The town sits at the crossroads of US-280 and GA-119 with wide rural lanes, flat terrain, and light traffic, perfect for getting comfortable in a motorhome rental in Pembroke. I-16 is about 10 minutes north and connects you to I-95 and Savannah in under 40 minutes. Watch for occasional deer at dawn and dusk, summer thunderstorms can drop visibility quickly between June and September, and avoid downtown Savannah's narrow, tree-lined squares in anything over 25 feet (use the suburban routes around the historic district instead). Pro tip: park large rigs at the Savannah Visitor Center lot and hop the free downtown shuttle into the historic district.

What is included inside the RV itself?

Pembroke RV rentals come well-equipped. Expect real beds (queens in most Class C rigs and travel trailers, plus convertible dinettes and bunks), a full kitchen with fridge, freezer, propane stove, microwave, and sink, a bathroom with toilet and shower in most motorhomes (campervans vary, some have wet baths or use campground facilities), roof AC, propane heat, and seatbelted passenger seating. Many hosts include a TV, generator, outdoor camp chairs, and basic kitchenware. Cell coverage can be uneven in rural Bryan County, so plan to use your phone hotspot when needed. Always check the listing's full amenity list and message the host if a specific item is a must-have.

How does payment and the security deposit work?

Payment is simple and secure: when you book your RV rental in Georgia through RVezy, you pay with a credit or debit card right on the platform, no cash or wire transfers to hosts. A refundable security deposit is held separately from your booking payment (the amount depends on the RV size and value) and released back to your card after a smooth dropoff. To avoid any deposit issues, do a thorough walk-around photo session at pickup, return the RV with the fuel and propane levels noted on your agreement, and empty the holding tanks if your host requires it. Pro tip: keep your dump station receipt as proof, hosts appreciate seeing that.
