Kyle was outstanding. I rented his RV through RVezy for my wedding day, and it ended up being one of the best decisions we made. I wanted a comfortable, fun place for me and my groomsmen to hang out before the wedding, and Kyle completely delivered. He was enthusiastic about the idea from the beginning, very accommodating, and made me feel like he genuinely cared about helping make the day special. He drove about 1.5 hours to deliver the RV, arrived on time, communicated clearly the whole way, and even let me know when he was about an hour out. The RV was spotless, and he gave me a detailed walkthrough so I knew exactly how to use everything — audio, Bluetooth, A/C, bedrooms, propane, grill, all of it. On top of that, he went above and beyond by bringing a handmade cornhole set for us to use at no extra charge. That kind of thoughtfulness and customer service is rare. If you’re considering renting from Kyle, do it. He’s professional, reliable, generous, and clearly takes a lot of pride in giving people a great experience. I’d happily rent from him again.

Do I need a special license to rent an RV in Sellersburg, Indiana?

A regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Sellersburg for nearly every rig on RVezy. Indiana only requires a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for recreational vehicles over 26,000 pounds GVWR when used commercially, and virtually every Class B campervan, Class C motorhome, travel trailer, and fifth wheel on the platform falls well under that threshold for personal use. RVezy approved drivers must be 25 or older with a valid driver's license, and ID verification happens right inside the booking flow. Visiting from abroad? Bring an International Driving Permit alongside your home-country license and you're set to roll out toward the Ohio River.

What is the cancellation policy if my Sellersburg RV trip plans change?

Booking is low risk: RVezy sets a standard cancellation policy for every trip, including a money-back grace period right after you book, so you're not locked in the moment you click confirm. Refund eligibility depends on how far in advance you cancel, and the support team reviews special circumstances like natural disasters or severe weather case by case. Because RVezy (not the host) manages cancellations, the experience is consistent no matter which Sellersburg listing you choose. Pro tip: lock in the RV you love early, then finalize campground reservations at places like Deam Lake State Recreation Area once your dates are firm.

Can I take my Sellersburg RV rental across state lines or into Canada?

Yes, crossing into Kentucky is a non-event since Sellersburg sits about 12 miles north of the Ohio River and Louisville, and most hosts allow travel throughout the continental United States, including a quick hop down to Mammoth Cave or over to Tennessee. Travel into Canada may be allowed on some RVezy bookings depending on the host and the protection plan, so message the owner first and confirm in writing before you cross. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance and protection coverage doesn't extend there. Pro tip: popular multi-state routes from Sellersburg include the Kentucky Bourbon Trail loop and the Great Smoky Mountains run via I-65 south.

A Class B campervan rental in Sellersburg gets roughly 18 to 22 miles per gallon (MPG), Class C motorhomes average 8 to 12 MPG, and Class A motorhomes typically deliver 6 to 10 MPG. Indiana gas prices generally track near the national average, and stations along I-65 around Sellersburg and Clarksville are reliable and easy to enter with a big rig. For a typical 300-mile weekend loop from Sellersburg to Mammoth Cave and back in a Class C, plan on around $120 to $200 in fuel depending on current prices. Indiana DNR opens reservations up to six months in advance for parks like Charlestown, Deam Lake, O'Bannon Woods, and Clifty Falls. Private parks like Louisville South KOA Holiday fill up especially fast for Kentucky Derby week, Thunder Over Louisville, and Memorial Day weekend. Midweek stays in May or September are usually wide open just a week or two out. Pro tip: if your first-choice campground is full, check back daily, as cancellations near Sellersburg open new sites all the time.

What are driving conditions like around Sellersburg, IN?

Driving an RV around Sellersburg is refreshingly easy. The town sits at the junction of Interstate 65 and Indiana 60 with wide lanes, gentle rolling hills, and very little of the steep grades you'd find in the Smokies. Watch out for the Kennedy and Lincoln Bridges into Louisville during rush hour (roughly 7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.), and skip downtown Louisville with anything bigger than a Class C unless you're confident. Summer thunderstorms can pop up fast, and winter occasionally brings ice on Indiana 62 toward Charlestown. Pro tip: check Indiana's TrafficWise 511 site before crossing the Ohio River for bridge conditions and lane closures.

What hookups and amenities should I expect at campgrounds near Sellersburg?

You'll find a great range. Indiana State Parks near Sellersburg like Charlestown and Deam Lake offer Class A electric sites with 30 and 50 amp service, water spigots nearby, modern restrooms with showers, and a centralized dump station, while private parks like Louisville South KOA Holiday offer full hookups with sewer right at the site. Many sites are paved or have gravel pads, though a small leveling block kit is smart to bring. Potable water fill stations and dump stations are clearly marked at every Indiana DNR campground. Pro tip: if you want full hookups for a long stay, choose a private RV park; if you want scenery and quiet, pick a state park.

Wi-Fi and generators are common add-ons, especially on Class C motorhomes used for boondocking near Hoosier National Forest. How do payment and the security deposit work when I rent an RV in Sellersburg?

It's straightforward and fully managed through RVezy, so no cash, checks, or awkward handoffs with the host. You pay securely online with a credit or debit card when you book, and a refundable security deposit is authorized (not charged) before your trip starts. The deposit amount is shown on the listing and typically ranges from $500 to $1,500 depending on the RV's value. As long as you return the RV in the same condition it left in, the hold is released after your trip. Pro tip: take a quick walkaround video at pickup and drop-off so any pre-existing scratch on that travel trailer in Sellersburg is documented, keeping your deposit smooth and stress-free.

Can I rent an RV in Sellersburg in the winter?

Yes, winter RV rental in Sellersburg, IN is absolutely doable and can be a quiet, crowd-free way to see southern Indiana. Many RVezy hosts offer four-season RVs with heated holding tanks, enclosed underbellies, and strong furnaces that handle Sellersburg's January lows in the mid 20s F. Charlestown State Park keeps a portion of its campground open year-round, and several private parks near Louisville offer winter hookups. Run a small space heater on shore power to save propane, leave a faucet trickling on the coldest nights, and plan shorter driving days. Pro tip: a winter Sellersburg RV trip pairs perfectly with bourbon distillery tours just across the river, where tasting rooms stay open and lines disappear.
