In a word - excellent. That’s how I would describe the experience with Steve and his RV. Well-appointed, very clean, and a comprehensive manual for renters. Steve (and his wife and son) were such great collaborators in general, particularly for a festival drop off that was anything but straightforward! Next May, I will be renting from Steve again if the RV is available.

Good value for the money. Rv was in good condition and ready to go on pickup. Everyone was very friendly, helpful and responsive. 9/10 would rent from again, 9 only for the purposes that we may rent a bigger rv in the future. But it reasonably accommodated 9 people for its size. We had a great trip.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Bexley, OH

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Bexley, OH?

RV rental in Bexley is more affordable than many travelers expect. Travel trailers near the Columbus area typically average around $100 to $150 per night, while motorhome rentals in Bexley generally range from $175 to $250 per night, and many hosts offer weekly or monthly discounts. For a cheap RV rental in Bexley, filter by travel trailers, book midweek, and aim for shoulder months like April, May, September, or October when demand around Ohio State events dips. What do I need to rent an RV in Bexley, Ohio?

Renting an RV in Bexley is refreshingly simple. You need to be 25 or older and hold a valid driver's license, and a standard Ohio (or any state) license is all that's required to drive Class B campervans, Class C motorhomes, and travel trailers on RVezy. No Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or special RV endorsement is needed. International guests can drive with their home license plus an International Driving Permit (IDP). RVezy verifies your ID directly through the platform during booking, so there's no extra paperwork at pickup. That means you can go from browsing to booking your Bexley RV trip quickly and confidently.

What protection is included when I rent an RV in Bexley?

Every RV rental in Bexley booked through RVezy includes a renter protection plan and 24/7 roadside assistance, so you're covered from the moment you hit the road. During checkout you choose the protection level that fits your trip, with options that cover most physical damage to the vehicle. Hosts cannot modify the coverage; you control which package you book. What is the cancellation policy if my Bexley RV trip plans change?

You can book your Bexley RV adventure with confidence because RVezy, not individual hosts, sets the cancellation policy across the platform. That means consistent, predictable rules no matter which listing you choose. There is a money-back grace period after booking, and refund outcomes depend on factors like how far in advance you cancel and whether extenuating circumstances apply. Because Ohio weather can shift quickly in spring and fall, this flexibility is genuinely useful. Pro tip: book early to lock in your preferred RV and dates, then review the current cancellation details on the RVezy Help Center if your plans evolve.

Can I bring my dog on a pet-friendly RV rental in Bexley?

Absolutely, pet-friendly RV rental in Bexley is one of the most popular filters on RVezy. Toggle the Pet-Friendly filter when searching and you'll see hosts who welcome dogs (and sometimes cats) right in the listing. Bexley itself is dog-loving: Jeffrey Park has open lawns perfect for a pre-trip stretch, and nearby Three Creeks Metro Park in Columbus offers leashed trails along Alum Creek. Heading further out, Alum Creek State Park has a dedicated off-leash dog beach, one of the largest in Ohio. Pro tip: message the host before booking to confirm any pet fees or breed notes so check-in is seamless.

Can the RV be delivered to my campsite in Bexley?

Yes, RV delivery in Bexley is widely available and a favorite for first-time renters. Many hosts will drive the motorhome or travel trailer straight to your campground, driveway, or event location, level it, hook up power and water, and walk you through every system before they leave. That's a great option if you're parking at Alum Creek State Park, Berkshire Lake Campground in Galena, or hosting family in town for an Ohio State football weekend. Just use the Delivery filter when searching. Delivery fees are set by each host based on distance and RV size. Pro tip: ask about a setup-and-pickup package so you skip driving the RV entirely.

For a scenic escape, Hocking Hills State Park Campground south of Logan has full-hookup sites near the famous gorges. Pro tip for RV camping in Bexley area trips: reserve Alum Creek and Hocking Hills early through the Ohio State Parks reservation system, especially for summer weekends.

When is the best time of year for an RV trip from Bexley?

Late April through mid-October is prime time for a Bexley RV trip, with the sweet spots being May, June, September, and early October. Summer highs in central Ohio average in the low to mid 80s Fahrenheit, while spring and fall hover in the comfortable 60s and 70s with crisp nights ideal for campfires. Fall foliage peaks in mid to late October and is spectacular in Hocking Hills and Mohican State Park. Winters are cold (20s to 40s) with occasional snow, but many hosts still rent year-round to Ohio State game-day visitors and holiday travelers. Pro tip: book by March for any trip overlapping with Memorial Day, July 4th, or Ohio State home football weekends, when central Ohio RVs go fast.

I've never rented an RV before. Will I be okay?

You're going to do great, and first time renting an RV in Bexley is easier than most people expect. Every RVezy host provides a hands-on orientation at pickup or delivery, walking you through propane, the generator, slide-outs, water hookups, and the dump process step by step. You can message the host before booking with any question, no matter how small. Choosing a Class B campervan rental in Bexley or a smaller Class C motorhome makes driving feel close to a large van rather than a bus. Pro tip: plan your first night close to home, like Alum Creek State Park 25 miles away, so you can settle in before tackling a longer route to Hocking Hills.

What happens if something goes wrong with the RV during my trip?

You're never stranded on an RVezy trip. Every booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the renter protection plan, so if you get a flat, run out of fuel, or have a mechanical hiccup on I-70 or a quiet road near Hocking Hills, help is one phone call away. Your host is also a great first contact for quirks specific to their RV, like resetting a generator or troubleshooting the awning. RVezy customer support is available before, during, and after your trip. Pro tip: save the roadside assistance number and your host's contact in your phone before leaving Bexley so you're covered everywhere from downtown Columbus to the Appalachian foothills.

Can I take a Bexley RV rental across state lines or into Canada?

Yes, an RV road trip from Bexley across multiple states is totally doable and very popular. From central Ohio you can comfortably reach Pittsburgh (185 miles east), Chicago (350 miles west), the Great Smoky Mountains (about 400 miles south), and Niagara Falls (360 miles northeast). Cross-border travel into Canada is sometimes allowed but depends on the individual host and the insurance terms, so message the host before booking to confirm. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because coverage does not extend there. Pro tip: a classic route from Bexley loops through the Lake Erie shoreline up to Cedar Point and Cuyahoga Valley National Park, all reachable in a long weekend.

How much should I budget for fuel on a Bexley RV trip?

Fuel is one of the most predictable parts of your Bexley budget. Class C motorhomes typically get 8 to 12 miles per gallon, Class B campervans 16 to 20, and trucks pulling travel trailers 10 to 14. Ohio gas prices generally run slightly below the national average, which keeps an RV rental Ohio trip friendly to the wallet. For a 200-mile weekend loop from Bexley to Hocking Hills and back in a Class C, expect roughly $80 to $110 in fuel. Pro tip: use a fuel price app and fill up in Columbus suburbs like Reynoldsburg or Grove City before heading out, since prices in tourist areas like Logan near Hocking Hills tend to be a few cents higher per gallon.

How far in advance should I book a campground for my Bexley RV trip?

Plan ahead and you'll snag the best sites near Bexley. Ohio State Parks like Alum Creek and Hocking Hills accept reservations up to six months in advance through the official Ohio State Parks reservation portal, and popular weekends (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, and fall foliage in October) fill within days of opening. Private parks like Berkshire Lake Campground and Buckeye Lake/Columbus East KOA typically book up two to three months ahead for prime summer dates. Pro tip: set a calendar reminder six months before your target date, then reserve the campground first and your Bexley RV rental second so your dates line up perfectly.

What are driving conditions like around Bexley?

Driving an RV in and around Bexley is very manageable. Bexley is a small, walkable city of about 2.5 square miles bordered by Columbus, with calm tree-lined streets like Main Street and Broad Street that are easy to navigate in a Class C or travel trailer. The bigger consideration is downtown Columbus and the I-270 outerbelt, where rush hour (7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.) can be heavy. Watch for low clearances under some older railroad bridges in the Columbus metro; most are clearly marked. Winter brings occasional snow and ice. Pro tip: choose RV delivery in Bexley if you would rather skip city driving and start your trip directly from the campground.

Most Ohio State Parks have free dump stations for registered campers. Pro tip: if you need to dump or refill water without staying overnight, the Ohio Turnpike service plazas at exits like Mahoning Valley offer dump stations and potable water for a flat $20 fee, handy on longer routes.

Most Class C motorhomes and travel trailers in central Ohio also include a TV, and many offer onboard generators for boondocking. Wi-Fi varies by host, so check the listing or ask. How do payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Payment is straightforward and secure on RVezy. You pay through the platform with a credit card during booking, never directly to the host, which protects both sides of the transaction. A refundable security deposit is held on your card before your trip, with the amount displayed clearly on the listing before you confirm. As long as the RV comes back in the same condition with no policy violations like exceeding mileage, the deposit is released after your trip. Pro tip: do a quick walkthrough video with your host at pickup and drop-off in Bexley, document fuel and tank levels, and you'll have a smooth, friction-free release of your deposit.
