Jacob was great to work with, the rv was great, simple to set up and operate. Everything needed to hook up water, elect, and sewer was provided, plus some. We towed with a Dodge 2500 4dr, 8’ bed Cummins diesel, towed like a dream with a straight hitch even in the west Texas winds from Arlington TX to Ruisoso NM and back. I was very happy with the RV, and the owner. 5 stars

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Hurst, TX

What can I expect to pay for an RV rental in Hurst, TX?

RV rental in Hurst, TX is approachable for most budgets, with travel trailers typically starting around $95 to $150 per night and Class C motorhomes generally running $175 to $275 per night on RVezy. Compact campervan rentals in Hurst land on the lower end, while spacious Class A motorhomes for larger families or game-day groups sit at the top of the range. To find a cheaper RV rental in Hurst, book on weekdays, travel outside of major Cowboys, Rangers, or Mavericks game weekends, and look for hosts offering weekly discounts. Many Hurst hosts drop nightly rates noticeably for stays of five nights or longer, so stretching a long weekend into a full week can meaningfully reduce your per-night cost.

Do I need a special license to rent an RV in Hurst, TX?

Good news: a regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Hurst for almost every rig on RVezy. Texas does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for personal RV use, and the vast majority of motorhomes and travel trailers on the platform fall well under the 26,000-pound threshold that would trigger a non-commercial Class A or B license. You'll need to be 25 or older with a valid driver's license, and RVezy verifies your ID right through the platform during booking. Visiting from abroad? Bring an International Driving Permit alongside your home-country license and you're set for your Texas RV trip.

Can the RV be delivered to my campground or driveway in Hurst?

Yes, RV delivery in Hurst is one of the most popular options on RVezy, especially for first-timers who would rather not drive a big rig through DFW traffic. Many local hosts will tow or drive the RV straight to your campground, event venue, or even your driveway, level it, hook up power and water, and walk you through every system before they leave. Filter by Delivery when browsing to see hosts who offer it. Popular drop-off spots from Hurst include Cedar Hill State Park, Loyd Park on Joe Pool Lake, and Lake Grapevine campgrounds. Delivery fees vary by distance, so check the listing or message the host for a quick quote before booking.

How many miles can I drive on a Hurst RV rental?

Mileage policies are set by each host, and Hurst has a healthy mix: some include 100 to 150 free miles per night, while others offer unlimited mileage packages perfect for longer Texas road trips. From Hurst you are roughly 35 miles to Cedar Hill State Park, 90 miles to the Glen Rose dinosaur tracks, 200 miles to Austin, 230 miles to Hot Springs, Arkansas, and a long haul to Big Bend country. The mileage allowance is always clearly listed on each RV's page, along with the per-mile rate for going over. If you are planning a longer route, filter for RV rental with unlimited mileage so you can roam without watching the odometer.

Where are the best campgrounds near Hurst, TX?

You have fantastic options within a short drive for RV camping in Hurst. Treetops RV Village in central Arlington offers shaded sites just a few minutes south. The Dallas/Arlington KOA is a family favorite close to AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Field. Cedar Hill State Park on Joe Pool Lake (about 35 miles southwest) is the closest true state-park experience with hookups, hiking, and a swim beach. Loyd Park on Joe Pool Lake is another scenic, full-hookup option run by the City of Grand Prairie. Lake Grapevine campgrounds operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers are also a popular choice less than 20 miles away. Book Cedar Hill 2 to 3 months ahead for weekends, especially in spring and fall.

When is the best time of year for an RV trip from Hurst?

The sweet spots for RV camping in Hurst are mid-March through May and late September through early November, when daytime highs sit in the comfortable 70s to mid-80s and evenings are perfect for the campfire. Summers in Hurst are genuinely hot, with July and August average highs around 95 to 96 degrees F and heat indexes that can push past 105 degrees F, so summer travelers should plan around early-morning drives and shaded, hookup-equipped sites for AC. Winters are mild and short, with January highs near 57 degrees F, making it a year-round RV destination. April wildflower season is a local favorite for road trips down into the Hill Country.

I've never rented an RV before. Will I know what I'm doing?

Yes, and you are in great company: first time renting an RV is exactly who RVezy hosts are used to welcoming. Every booking starts with a hands-on orientation where your Hurst host walks you through driving tips, the water and propane systems, slide-outs, the awning, the generator, and how to dump tanks. You will leave the pickup feeling confident, not confused. Many local hosts also send a quick video walkthrough ahead of time so nothing is a surprise. If you would rather skip the parking-lot nerves entirely, choose a host who offers delivery and they will set everything up at your campground. Start with a Class C motorhome or smaller travel trailer for an easier first drive around DFW.

Every RV rental in Hurst, TX through RVezy comes with 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the protection plan, covering flat tires, lockouts, dead batteries, towing, and mechanical breakdowns anywhere your Texas RV trip takes you. Your host is also typically just a phone call or message away, and RVezy's support team is available before, during, and after your trip through the Help Center. Save the roadside number in your phone before you leave Hurst and you will be set. Most issues get sorted faster than you would expect, so a hiccup never has to derail the adventure.

Can I take my Hurst RV rental to other states or across the border?

Yes, an RV road trip from Hurst opens up huge possibilities. Most hosts allow interstate travel across the Lower 48, so you can head to New Mexico's White Sands (about 9 hours), Hot Springs National Park in Arkansas (about 5 hours), Louisiana's bayou country (about 5 hours), or Colorado's Rockies for a longer adventure. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance coverage does not extend across that border. Cross-border travel into Canada may be allowed with host approval and the right documentation. Always confirm your route with the host through the listing's message feature before booking. Popular shorter loops include Hill Country wine trails and the Texas Gulf Coast.

How should I budget for fuel on a Hurst RV trip?

Fuel is the biggest variable, but it is easy to plan for. Class B campervans typically get 18 to 22 MPG, Class C motorhomes around 10 to 14 MPG, and Class A motorhomes 7 to 10 MPG, with travel trailers depending on your tow vehicle. Gas prices in Hurst and across DFW tend to track slightly below the national average thanks to Texas refining capacity. For a 500-mile round trip in a Class C at $3 per gallon, expect roughly $125 to $150 in fuel. Buc-ee's locations along I-35 and I-45 are local favorites for clean restrooms and competitive fuel prices when you are rolling out of Hurst.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Hurst?

For Texas state parks like Cedar Hill, Dinosaur Valley, and Lake Mineral Wells, book up to 5 months ahead through the Texas Parks & Wildlife reservation system, especially for spring and fall weekends, which sell out fast. Private RV parks around Hurst like the Dallas/Arlington KOA and Treetops RV Village can often be booked 2 to 4 weeks ahead, but lock in earlier for Cowboys home games, Rangers playoff weekends, the State Fair of Texas, and the 2026 FIFA World Cup matches in Arlington, when local sites fill months out. Midweek arrivals (Sunday through Thursday) at lakefront parks on Joe Pool and Grapevine are easier to grab and often a few dollars cheaper per night.
tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/park-information/reservations

What are local driving conditions like around Hurst?

Hurst sits right in the middle of the DFW metroplex, so highway driving is the norm and the roads are well-maintained and flat, which is great news for first-time RV drivers. Avoid I-820, I-35W, and SH 121/183 during rush hour (roughly 7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 6:30 p.m.) when traffic stacks up. Watch for low clearances around older downtown Fort Worth and Dallas streets, and steer clear of narrow neighborhood roads in big-rig RVs. Spring brings occasional severe thunderstorms and even hail, so check the forecast and choose covered or sturdier sites when storms are possible. Head out before 7 a.m. on getaway day to glide through the metroplex.
drivetexas.org/

What hookups and amenities will I find at campgrounds near Hurst?

Most RV parks near Hurst offer full hookups (water, 30/50-amp electric, and sewer) along with WiFi, laundry, and hot showers, so you are in good shape from your first night out. The Dallas/Arlington KOA and Treetops RV Village feature full hookups with concrete or gravel pads. State parks like Cedar Hill have water and electric at most RV sites, with central dump stations rather than at-site sewer. Dump stations and potable water fill-ups are also available at many travel centers and select Buc-ee's locations along I-35. Confirm site length when booking; some lakeside spots max out around 32 feet, while big-rig pull-throughs at the KOA can fit 70+ feet.

What's inside the RVs I can rent in Hurst?

Most RV rentals in Hurst come fully equipped and trip-ready. Expect a queen or king bed, plus convertible dinettes and bunks depending on size, a kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, and sink, a wet or dry bathroom with shower and toilet, AC and furnace (critical for Texas summers and chilly January nights), and seatbelts for every traveling passenger. Many motorhome rentals in Hurst also include a TV, WiFi hotspot or boosters, a generator for boondocking, outdoor speakers, and an awning for tailgating. Larger Class A and Class C rigs often add a second AC unit, a washer/dryer combo, and outdoor kitchens. Each listing spells out exactly what is included, so you will know before booking.

What add-ons and pickup options can I expect when I rent an RV in Hurst?

Hurst hosts offer some of the most useful add-ons in the RVezy network. Common options include linen and bedding packages, camp chairs and outdoor setup kits, kitchen kits, bike racks, generators with fuel included, and tailgate packages for AT&T Stadium or Globe Life Field events. Pickup is usually at the host's home in Hurst or a nearby Mid-Cities suburb like Bedford, Euless, North Richland Hills, or Colleyville, and many hosts will meet you at DFW Airport (just a few miles west) for a small fee. Mileage and generator-hour policies are clearly shown on each listing. Bundle delivery plus the linen kit for a true zero-effort family RV trip in Hurst.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Hurst,Texas

How does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Payment is simple and secure. You pay through the RVezy platform with a credit or debit card when you book, never directly to the host, which keeps everything protected and traceable. A refundable security deposit is held (not charged) on your card before pickup; it is released after your trip wraps up cleanly with no damage, late return, or excess mileage. Deposit amounts vary by RV type and value, and you will see the exact number on the listing page before you confirm. Do a quick walk-around video with your host at both pickup and drop-off in Hurst to document the RV's condition. It is the single best way to ensure your deposit comes back fast and in full.
