Jacob was great to work with, the rv was great, simple to set up and operate. Everything needed to hook up water, elect, and sewer was provided, plus some. We towed with a Dodge 2500 4dr, 8’ bed Cummins diesel, towed like a dream with a straight hitch even in the west Texas winds from Arlington TX to Ruisoso NM and back. I was very happy with the RV, and the owner. 5 stars

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Lantana, TX

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Lantana, TX?

RV rental in Lantana is a great value compared to hotels around Denton and the DFW Metroplex. Travel trailers typically start around $90 to $150 per night, Class C motorhomes run roughly $175 to $275 per night, and larger Class A coaches can range from $250 to $400 per night. For a cheap RV rental Lantana travelers love, book midweek and avoid Texas Motor Speedway race weekends, which spike demand. Many hosts offer weekly discounts of 10 to 20 percent. What are the license and age requirements to rent an RV in Lantana?

Good news: a regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Lantana. Texas does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for most personal-use RVs under 26,000 pounds gross vehicle weight, which covers nearly every motorhome and trailer on the RVezy platform. Approved drivers on RVezy are generally 25 or older, and your ID is verified directly through the platform during checkout. Visiting from outside the United States? Bring your home-country license plus an International Driving Permit (IDP) to keep things simple. Most first-time renters find the process faster than picking up a rental car at DFW.

Is my RV rental in Lantana covered by protection and roadside assistance?

Yes, every RVezy booking in Lantana includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can hit Highway 377 with confidence. During checkout you choose the protection tier that fits your trip, and coverage applies to most accidental damage to the vehicle. What happens if I need to cancel my Lantana RV rental?

Booking is low-risk because RVezy, not the individual host, sets the cancellation policy for every reservation. There is a grace period after booking where eligible cancellations qualify for a full refund, and additional protections apply for major life events and certain natural disasters, which matter in North Texas where spring storms can pop up fast. Because the rules can shift based on how close you are to your trip start date, the easiest path is to review your specific cancellation terms in your RVezy account or contact support. Pro tip: book early to lock in the best Lantana rigs, knowing you have flexibility if plans change.

Pro tip: message the host before booking to share your pet's size and breed, and ask about any cleaning fee so there are no surprises at checkout.

I have never rented an RV before. How does the orientation work?

You are in great hands, and this is exactly why first time renting an RV is easier on RVezy than with a traditional rental company. Your Lantana host will meet you at pickup (or at your delivery location) and walk you through everything: how to operate the generator, slide-outs, awning, propane, fresh and waste water tanks, leveling jacks, and the climate controls. Most walkthroughs take 30 to 60 minutes, and hosts are happy to answer questions by text throughout your trip. Pro tip: shoot a quick phone video during your walkthrough so you can rewatch it at the campground. Many guests say the host orientation alone made them feel completely confident behind the wheel.

Fuel is one of the more predictable parts of your budget. Texas typically has some of the cheapest gas in the country, often below the national average, which keeps RV trip costs in check. Campervans and small Class B rigs deliver 18 to 22 mpg, Class C motorhomes average 10 to 14 mpg, and larger Class A coaches run 7 to 10 mpg. Pro tip: fill up at Buc-ee's in Denton on your way out for lower prices and famously clean restrooms.

How far in advance should I book campgrounds near Lantana?

Booking early is the single best move you can make. Texas state parks like Ray Roberts Lake and Lake Mineral Wells take reservations up to 5 months in advance through the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) system, and prime spring and fall weekends fill within days. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers parks on Lake Lewisville and Lake Grapevine book through Recreation.gov up to 6 months ahead. Private parks in the Argyle and Hickory Creek area take reservations year-round and are more forgiving. Pro tip: if your dates are flexible, target Sunday-through-Thursday arrivals to find availability and better rates at the most popular campgrounds near Lantana.

What are driving conditions like around Lantana and the DFW Metroplex?

Driving an RV around Lantana is easier than you might expect. Lantana itself sits in a quiet suburban pocket on FM 407 with wide roads and minimal congestion, perfect for getting comfortable behind the wheel. The big thing to watch is rush-hour traffic on I-35W and I-35E between 7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 7 p.m., especially heading into Dallas or Fort Worth. Spring storms from March through May can bring sudden hail and strong wind, so check the forecast and avoid driving tall rigs in active severe weather. There are no significant grades or mountain passes nearby. Pro tip: use the President George Bush Turnpike to bypass downtown Dallas traffic when heading east.

Private parks in Argyle add amenities like pools, dog parks, and laundry. Texas state parks like Ray Roberts include swim beaches, hiking trails, and boat ramps. Free dump stations are available at many U.S. Army Corps of Engineers parks for registered campers. Pro tip: fill your fresh water tank before leaving the host's driveway, and confirm hookup type (full versus electric-only) so you know whether to bring extra fresh-water capacity.

What features and amenities come with the RV itself?

Expect a queen or king bed, convertible dinette and sofa beds for the family, a full kitchen with fridge, microwave, stovetop, and often an oven, plus a private bathroom with shower and toilet. Most Class C and Class A motorhomes around Lantana include roof-mounted air conditioning (a Texas summer must-have), a furnace for chilly winter nights, an onboard generator, and seatbelted seating for travel. Many hosts add smart TVs, outdoor speakers, and Wi-Fi hotspots. Pro tip: filter by sleeps count and RV type. Class C motorhomes are the favorite for family RV trip Lantana adventures because they balance space, drivability, and price.

What add-ons can I get with my Lantana RV rental?

How does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Payment is straightforward and secure. When you book your RV rental in Lantana, you pay through the RVezy platform with a credit or debit card, never directly to the host. Most hosts require a refundable security deposit, typically $500 to $1,500 depending on the rig's value, which is pre-authorized on your card a few days before pickup and released after a successful return inspection. Avoiding issues is simple: complete the pre-trip walkthrough and photo checklist with your host, follow the mileage and generator-hour limits on your listing, and return the RV clean with tanks empty. Pro tip: take date-stamped photos of the interior and exterior at pickup and dropoff for your own records.
