We had an amazing experience renting a camper from Catherine! From start to finish, she made the process so easy. The camper was spotless, fully stocked with everything we needed (and then some!), and it made our trip comfortable and stress-free. Catherine was incredibly responsive and always quick to answer any questions we had. It was obvious she put a lot of thought into making sure her guests had a great experience. If you’re looking to rent a camper, we highly recommend Catherine. We wouldn’t hesitate to rent from her again. Thank you for helping make our weekend such a wonderful trip!

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Friendship, WI
How much does it cost to rent an RV in Friendship, WI?
RV rental in Friendship is one of the more affordable ways to experience central Wisconsin's lake country. Travel trailers typically start around $90 to $150 per night, Class C motorhomes range from $175 to $275 per night, and larger Class A coaches run $250 to $400 per night, depending on age, size, and season. To find a cheap RV rental in Friendship, book midweek, travel during shoulder months like May or September, and look for hosts offering weekly discounts. Pro tip: pairing a Friendship base with nearby county park campsites keeps your total trip cost low compared to Wisconsin Dells resorts just 25 minutes south.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Friendship%2C%20WisconsinWhat license do I need to rent an RV in Friendship, Wisconsin?
Great news: a regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Friendship, Wisconsin. The state of Wisconsin does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or any special endorsement for personal RVs, even larger Class A motorhomes. On RVezy, you'll just need to be 25 or older with a valid driver's license, and ID confirmation happens right through the platform when you book. Visiting from outside the U.S.? Pick up an International Driving Permit (IDP) from your home country's auto association before you fly in. Most first-time renters are surprised by how simple the process is, you'll be cruising County Road Z toward Castle Rock Lake in no time.
wisconsindot.gov/Pages/dmv/license-drvs/how-to-apply/dr-license.aspxIs RV insurance and roadside help included with my Friendship RV rental?
Yes, every RVezy booking in Friendship includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can hit Highway 13 with peace of mind. The protection plan covers eligible damage to the RV during your trip and provides meaningful financial protection alongside liability coverage. You choose your protection level at checkout (not the host), so you control how much coverage you want. Roadside help is built in for flat tires, lockouts, and battery jumps, whether you're parked at Petenwell Lake or driving back from Wisconsin Dells. Book confidently knowing support is one call away the entire trip.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailWhat happens if I need to cancel my Friendship RV rental?
Booking is low risk because RVezy, not the individual host, sets the cancellation policy for every reservation. That means consistent, transparent terms across every RV rental in Friendship, including a grace period after booking where you can receive a full refund. Refunds beyond the grace period depend on how far in advance you cancel relative to your trip start date. Cancellation terms are not buried inside individual listings because they are handled at the platform level. Pro tip: book early to lock in the best Castle Rock Lake weekends, knowing the grace period has you covered if plans shift.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037736674-Understanding-the-cancellation-policy-for-guestsCan I bring my dog on a pet-friendly RV rental in Friendship?
Yes, a pet-friendly RV rental in Friendship is easy to find on RVezy. Toggle the Pet-Friendly filter when you search to see hosts who welcome dogs (and sometimes cats). Adams County is great for dog owners: Castle Rock County Park allows leashed pets in the campground, Petenwell County Park has shoreline trails, and Roche-A-Cri State Park welcomes leashed pups on its staircase trail to the bluff overlook. Some hosts charge a small pet cleaning fee, which is shown clearly before booking. Pro tip: message the host before booking to mention your dog's size and breed, it's the fastest way to get a confirmed yes.
dnr.wisconsin.gov/topic/parks/rocheacriCan the RV be delivered to my campsite in Friendship?
Yes, RV delivery in Friendship is one of the easiest ways to start your trip, especially if it's your first time renting an RV. Many RVezy hosts in Adams County offer delivery to local campgrounds like Castle Rock County Park, Petenwell County Park, or a private property you've arranged. Your host hauls the RV, levels it, hooks up water and power, and walks you through every system before handing over the keys. Delivery fees usually scale with distance, often $2 to $4 per mile round trip, with many hosts offering free delivery within a short radius of Friendship. Pro tip: filter listings by Delivery on RVezy and your weekend basically sets itself up.
co.adams.wi.us/departments/parks/castle_rock_county_park.phpHow far can I drive on a Friendship RV trip and how does mileage work?
You'll have plenty of road to roam on a Friendship RV trip. Many RVezy hosts in Adams County include 100 to 150 free miles per night, and some offer RV rental with unlimited mileage, perfect for longer Wisconsin road trips. Extra miles typically cost $0.30 to $0.45 each. To plan: Wisconsin Dells is about 25 miles south, Madison is roughly 70 miles southeast, Wisconsin Rapids is about 28 miles north, Door County is around 175 miles east, and Mirror Lake State Park is about 30 miles away. Pro tip: if you're planning a loop through the Dells, Devil's Lake, and back to Castle Rock, look for unlimited-mileage listings, it usually saves $50 to $100.

You have great options for RV camping in Friendship. The best campgrounds near Friendship include Castle Rock County Park on County Road Z (a large campground with electric hookups right on Castle Rock Lake), Petenwell County Park on Lake Petenwell (with a harbor of refuge and bathhouse), Pineland Camping Park in nearby Big Flats (full hookups and Wi-Fi), Evergreen Hollows Resort (50-amp full-hookup sites with a private swim pond), and Roche-A-Cri State Park (sites near the famous sandstone bluff, typically open mid-spring through fall). Pro tip: Castle Rock Park's central Wisconsin location makes it an ideal base for exploring both Castle Rock and Petenwell lakes.
co.adams.wi.us/departments/parks/castle_rock_county_park.phpWhen is the best time to rent an RV in Friendship, Wisconsin?
Late May through mid-October is the sweet spot for an RV trip in Friendship, when daytime highs run from the mid-60s in May to the low 80s in July and back to the 60s by early October. Summer (June to August) brings warm lakes for swimming at Castle Rock and Petenwell, while late September delivers stunning fall colors along the Wisconsin River bluffs. Shoulder season camping is excellent for cooler nights and fewer crowds. Pro tip: book the third weekend of September for peak fall foliage and shoulder-season pricing, you'll often save 20 to 30 percent versus July.
weather.gov/mkx/I've never driven an RV before, will I be okay in Friendship?
You'll be just fine, a first time renting an RV in Friendship is genuinely beginner-friendly. Adams County roads are flat, wide, and lightly trafficked, with Highway 13 and County Road Z handling RV traffic daily during summer. Your RVezy host gives a full walkthrough at pickup covering driving, leveling, water, propane, and the dump station, and you'll have their number plus RVezy support throughout the trip. Many hosts also offer to deliver and set up the RV at your campground so you never have to back into a site. Pro tip: start with a Class C motorhome or a 20- to 25-foot travel trailer, they're easy to handle and perfect for the short hop to Castle Rock Lake or Wisconsin Dells.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039008774-Understanding-approved-driver-requirementsWhat if something goes wrong with the RV during my trip?
Help is always close at hand. Every RV rental in Friendship through RVezy includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the standard protection plan, so flat tires, dead batteries, lockouts, and mechanical issues are one phone call away. Your host is also your first contact for quick questions about appliances or systems, and RVezy's customer support team is available before, during, and after your trip. Adams County has reliable cell coverage on the main routes (Highway 13 and nearby I-39 to the east), and tow operators serve the Friendship, Adams, and Wisconsin Dells corridor. Pro tip: snap a photo of the RV's VIN and license plate at pickup, it speeds up any roadside call.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailCan I take my Friendship RV rental across state lines or into Canada?
Yes, interstate travel is allowed and a great use of a Friendship RV rental. Popular RV road trips from Friendship include heading north to Minnesota's North Shore, east to Michigan's Upper Peninsula, or south to the Illinois lakeshore. Cross-border trips to Canada may also be allowed but require host approval and confirmation of insurance coverage before you go, so message the host directly through the listing. Travel to Mexico is not permitted on any RVezy rental because insurance coverage does not extend there. Pro tip: if you're crossing into Canada, ask your host for the vehicle registration and a written travel authorization letter to smooth your border crossing.
